I've been using the fork, it does work... mostly. Still occasionally get the 'only one faction spawns' issue, but overall it seems to be fine.

Someone else made a fork with abit bugfix. I recently have no time to update it. If you have some bugs troubling you, you can try the fork version.

For some reason, the two sides that suddenly disappeared without a fight at all
and pop out an error

@GalacticSeal I had 2 friendly factions fight each other on my map. I rescued the loosing faction and brought them to my hospital. Then the winning fac went into my hospital and killed the rescued pawns and stole the hospital beds they were on.
The way I got around this was when the winning fac is starting to executing the survivors I just carry the downed pawns and they just leave.
I did try putting downed pawns in cryo but enemy fac gets confused and they just stick around the map doing nothing.

Ive only seen two of these events but for each one only one side spawned, when it was an event away from my base they chased after me as well which Im assuming theyre not supposed to do if the other faction was present. I got to steal some stuff from the ground tho which was nice

While it is spawning the two opposing factions as intended, I noticed a serious problem on smaller maps where the winning faction will literally steal your items and buildings from you even if they are "allied" or "neutral" towards you. The looting should be restricted to only to items dropped by the opposing faction and their corpses, not just any item they can get their hands on.

Sadly it appears this mod is pretty broken in 1.5. Same issue as Gakko, one faction doesn't spawn, or both fail. Faction Contention event also fails to spawn any enemies, so it's basically just free archo items. Shame, I wanted to see VOID fight Tenebral ;_;
