Description

Welcome to Star Trek Module 9 - Shuttle Kit by Q-Tech. This mod contains a set of parts for building a Federation Type 9 shuttle. This mod requires WeaponCore,ToolCore, and Animation Engine to function, so make sure you have all three mods loaded in your world. They are listed as dependencies so they should load automatically but if there are issues it may help to add them manually to the mod list.

IMPORTANT: Update information for this mod can be found in the Change Notes tab.

Under no circumstances is this mod to be publicly re-uploaded by anyone for any reason! The shuttle weapons' characteristics can be modified using the WeaponCore server config file.

The other modules can be found on my workshop or in the Star Trek Modules collection.

The description of each module in the collection can be found in the Star Trek Modules Guide. Please refer to the guide for information about each mod. Please do not post questions or complaints if you have not read the guide. If you have read the guide and your question / concern has not been addressed then feel free to post it in the comments section.

This mod contains the following blocks:
  • A set of 21 parts for building a Type 9 shuttle.

It is possible to customise the damage values for the shuttle's weapons in this mod using the WeaponCore server configuration file. This file is automatically created when a world loads with WeaponCore in the mod list, and can be found at:

For convenience, clicking here[1drv.ms] will allow you to download a config snippet that can be inserted into the WeaponCore server configuration file. This config snippet contains overrides for the damage output of the Phasers and Photon Torpedoes that can be customised. Each <AmmoOverride> section can be copied to the config file between the <AmmoOverrides></AmmoOverrides> tags. You can then change the weapon damage output values to suit your gameplay.

  • Type 9 Shuttle - Carbon Dudeoxide

The grinder, aka salvage bug is a older problem with Toolcore itself. It's been there from the start, and one I think there still trying to lock down. Folks like me that tend to use tool core on a normal basis tend to avoid the grind function when possible till they officially note a fix has been done.

@Zanick are you turning the Salvager off when not in use, or deactivating?

@Zanick This issue is driving me nuts; I've been through it all again and I can't replicate the problem. I filled up my entire shuttle, including the salvager, with components that the salvager harvested from a wreck. Then I docked with a normal large grid connector. The first thing that happened is that the connector immediately pulled all the components from the salvager but not the other parts of the shuttle. I could not move components from the connector back into the salvager; I'm not sure why but it just wouldn't. But moving them the other way wasn't a problem. I could also move components between all the cargo spaces on the shuttle and the connector and back again. I can also move components between the shuttle cargo spaces and the shuttle salvager, although once again they get shunted straight out back to where they came from.

I am baffled...

@Zanick Yeah, I am aware users are having this issue. It's frustrated me endlessly because I can't work out what's causing it.

@Zanick dude, check the chatlog, a lot of us are having that problem but, Quarannia hasn't been able to replicate it in her own worlds to figure out what the problem is, but they're working on it.

does the salvager not connect to a base through the docking clamp? I connected the shuttle to a base and stone got pulled out of the drill but i cant get any salvage out of the ship.
Qarannia  [author] 7 Nov, 2024 @ 2:17am
@Zanick No, the default blocks have connectors built in to conveyor stuff around. I have heard of users who have trouble moving stuff out of the salvager module but I haven't been able to replicate it so I can't fix any potential issue there.

If you add extra blocks in then there are the four small conveyor ports inside; that would be the only time you need to manually set up conveyoring.

Does any of the default features of the shuttle need to be piped together behind the co-pilot seat to work properly?

@jivaii Trust me, you're not the only one who doesn't get why these things are the way they are. I remember having endless issues with sequencing weapons in WeaponCore and constantly being told by the WC devs that everything was working as intended. After weeks of trying, in desperation one day I stripped all the weapons off the ship and put new ones on. Bam, it worked! Did the same on all my grids and they worked as well. Why? Who knows; I certainly don't.

But I do feel your pain.

I don't get it. Started up another save with the same mods, no problem.
