Description
Gday everyone ! This has been updated to support SPE44 1.1!!
Please note that mission 2 is updated but not mission 3!
Preset download for mods: https://www.armapresetcreator.co.uk/3256454700?presetName=Band%20of%20Brothers%20Preset%20V2

This is the continuation of my Band of Brothers series (See mission 2 for the Sequel) : https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3256454700

MISSION 3 is out NOW - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3277039600

Expect a fully voiced single player mission. If you miss the old call of duty feels and yearn for HBO's BOB look no further.

The reason there's so many of them mods is simple: this is the first of a long series of missions I intend to do. I know plenty of you will whinge and man and its your right. That being said what's made for free shall be received for free. I am not spending dozens of hours doing this for clout but its my way to deal with some grief in my life at the moment. Enjoy!

Expect:

1. A one hour plus Singe player mission
in the style of the old Call of Duties of Yore and Band of Brothers the HBO TV Show
2. It is fully voiced and animated with over a 100 voice lines
3. Challenging and hand holding you the entire time
4. Use your brain, your map and your compass
5. Expect follow up missions!

PLOT:

Your name is Eugene Connor - You are a Private First Class in Baker Company - 101st Airborne. You are on board of a C-47 over the English Channel on your way towards Normandy. Your are tasked to capture and hold a vital crossroad called Point Boston from the Germans. You will be dropped behind enemy lines with little chances to hit your DZ. Use your witts and will to survive while causing as much destruction as possible behind enemy lines. Most of you are not expecting to come back. Good Luck Trooper.

TIPS:

Use your compass and your map and stick to the roads!
Take your time ! Don't Run Around !
Good luck trooper!

NOTE:

Please don't ask me to remake this with fewer mods - The amount of work required on my end is dozens upon dozens of hours spent for what is most probably some more download and HDD space on your end. Show a little bit of empathy in your comments here - Someone spent his own personal time and energy into doing this and offers it to you to enjoy.

Side-note, that drop sequence is really immersive, good job.

Honestly, not the biggest fan of stealth/lone-wolf type scenarios. The AI are able to spot you from a distance in the pitch black and that ruins it for me. I can tell you spent hours making this, the quality is obvious, just not my kind of scenario.

Awesome ambience! One of the best D-Day missions I’ve ever played on Arma

@R. Gonzales - The mission you played was not properly updated since the spearhead update of 2014 - I litterally did the updated today for it. The fog has been removed early on and some scripts have been tidied up. I'm sorry you had to play it in such an unfinished state.

AMAZING work, my friend!

Haven't got so immersed in a mission like this in a long time!

Two things only:

1) That fog all around is VERY performance costly... You should consider reduce it a bit

2) After meeting Winters and heading to the "Observation Point", once there, nothing happened, no new tasks were added. So I jumped into Zeus and realized all soldier around, including Germans, were still with "Simulation" and "Show Model" off.... I aproached a 3 man US team that was close, enabled those settings, and then their started moving to assault "Point Boston ". Only that way the next events were triggered, OPFOR started to attack and I could finish the mission

@onestar its coming its coming! I've taken a small break from it because voice lining is bottle necking at production. AI will come to the rescue. I want to finish and push it. Its quite a piece of work!
