Audio Mix Improver

Description
Do you LOVE Left 4 Dead 2 but HATE your ears bleeding? This mod allows you to experience Left 4 Dead 2 WITHOUT the risk of hearing loss! AND IT'S FREE!!!!

Reduces loudness of gunfire, melee, fireworks, a few alarms, some vehicles, rain, thunder, some loud cutscene sounds, and a few ambient environmental noises. Reduces hearing fatigue and prevents the drowning out of important sounds like dialogue and zombie cues. The reduced sounds are still loud enough to be heard clearly, but they're dialed back significantly.

Won't conflict with pipe bomb or boomer bile mods. Will conflict with molotov and defibrillator sound mods and some mods that affect ambient sounds.

IMPORTANT: Please, be aware that, due to this mod containing so many audio files, the file size is relatively large. L4D2 doesn't allocate much space for mods. Your space for other mods will be very limited if you use this one. Exceeding the allocated space will likely result in crashes. I have a smaller version of this mod to save space for those of you who want to combine the improved vanilla audio experience with cosmetic mods.

Comment with any suggestions for changes! :)

New update! Ambient sound reductions are back. This only affects the loudest ambient sounds in the game. Most of them were untouched because they're already quiet. Planes flying overhead in The Parish are no longer ear-splitting loud, but they're still kinda loud because planes. Forgot to mention in the notes that I fixed a distortion issue with the knife's deploy sound and lowered it, too. It sounded like it was being sharpened inches from your ear whenever you picked it up or pulled it out.

Thanks! Didn't know that.

new update :)

I recently discovered that an ambient sound was causing some light distortion. I'm not sure which sound it was, though I suspect it was one of a few that I removed. They were already relatively quiet compared to most sounds in this mod, so the overall impact this will have is minimal. The cricket bat also got toned down a bit.

Okay so, I tested it some more. I disabled all my addons and played only with this enabled. The screech that played every now and then now it's seems gone, so apparently it was caused by some addon I have, although I'm not sure which one is the culprit. I'll try to pinpoint which addon is causing it. Once I find it I'll comment it here, guess it can be helpful to anyone suscribing to this mod.

What I did found is the screeching with the tower alarm at the second chapter of The Parish. Guess I didn't notice it before because sound screeching works weird, I'm talking from experience. Sometimes it plays an almost unperceptible *pop* and sometimes it plays that horrid screeching noise I told you about.

Probably is a conflict with another mod. Lemme do some further testing.

I played through that campaign and only had issues with the overhead jets. I didn't touch any of the other sounds, so they're the same as before. I'll play through again to see If I can hear any more problems.

How weird, now I can sometimes hear a buggy little screech like sound every now and then but I'm not sure what's causing it. Also the tower alarm in the second chapter of The Parish is also bugged. I can hear that screechy sound each time the alarm sounds. And I think it was working fine before the update
