Description


Long before the Rimworld became a lawless chunk of rock floating aimlessly through space, there was a brief time of peace and order. A central government maintained stability across the planet by protecting the people from themselves. Without proper governance, peasants often begin to fill their heads with lies about freedom and luxury. These are delusions. It is nothing more than propaganda, meant only to deceive the masses and lead them to their graves. Treasonous officials failed in their duties to keep the public in check and allowed a planet-wide revolution to overthrow the supreme leader. Their crimes will not be forgotten. A new leader has arisen, and with him comes the renewed glory of the union. Soon, the traitors will face capital punishment for their crimes, and we will return to our rightful place as protectors of the planet. For the greater good, this planet belongs to us. Glory to the leader!




The Rimworld Authority is the fifth installation in my Empires of Old mod series. This series aims to expand upon RimWorld’s lore and introduce new alien civilizations to the game.

Long ago, the Rimworld was governed by a cruel and tyrannical government. Government officials had near-unlimited power over the very people they were meant to protect, and they often abused it. The citizenry had no personal freedoms, no privacy from the prying eyes of the leader, and no escape from the communistic nightmare that dictated their lives. The regime ended abruptly. A planet-wide revolution overthrew the leader and freed the people from his tyranny, but without any authority to govern them, the planet quickly descended into anarchy. Now, history repeats itself. A new leader has arisen, and his power is growing.



The government will use extremely brutal weapons against their enemies, including branding irons and shock prods. They will use swarm tactics with lots of troops.




- 1 new empire faction.
- New royal titles and permits.
- New Royal Ascent, Deserter, and Royal Wimp quests.
- 1 new culture.
- 892 real Slavic names.




This mod is compatible with CE and VFE – Empire. The new factions will not make use of the new royalty mechanics, such as the Great Hierarchy.

also just wanted to say that this mod and your revolution one are amazing for my prison roleplay run, i was looking for an industrial peasant rabble and authority faction, then i remembered about your mods, and they literally fit the bill perfectly:cchearts: you make the coolest factions no question

Ah, I see, thanks! I always thought there were tribute collectors instead of just the quest ones, guess I'll just wait then. Also, I love your mods man, keep it up! :steamthumbsup:

Also the reason why quests are so spread out is because in vanilla rimworld I cannot make them appear in a random time. It has to be a specific amount of time passed, which is really annoying. I might make a fix for that later.

@Beef It’s almost the same, just no tribute collectors. You have to complete quests to gain whatever faction’s version of royal honor until you get enough for a title. There should be new starter quests like royal wimp but they are spread out with all of the new factions so that you don’t get them all at the same time. (It’s a bit op otherwise) this mod in particular takes a while before these quests appear because it’s newer. When you get enough honor, the royal bestower event should trigger like normal. Sadly, I was not able to create new royal tribute collectors so only the vanilla empire will have that.

How do I get titles and join them, is it the same way as the shattered empire in royalty? I haven't gotten a recruiter caravan arrive in my colony once.
