Description
Imperatus - Polis States 1.0
Polis States adds significant depth to city growth, loyalty, and happiness, reshaping how civilizations expand in the early game. Inspired by true city-states, this mod ties city growth, loyalty, and production yields more tightly to happiness and amenities, forcing players to balance governance, resources, and expansion strategies. Make choices that ensure your cities thrive or face unrest and rebellion in this immersive addition to the Imperatus collection.
Changes
  • Loyalty System Overhaul: Loyalty values now scale up to a maximum of 1000, with modifiers for identity pressure and loyalty gains/losses from various sources, creating a complex interplay between city loyalty and happiness.
  • Happiness Mechanic Enhancement: Introduces an exponential scaling system for happiness levels ranging from Revolution to Actualized. Happiness now significantly impacts yields, growth, and rebellion points, forcing careful amenity management.
  • Rebellion and Growth Effects: Cities with negative happiness accrue rebellion points, while positive happiness provides exponential bonuses to city growth and yields, making happiness management a critical aspect of city success.
  • Government and District Effects: Loyalty is influenced by governors, promotions, government plazas, and certain buildings such as encampments. Encampments, plantations, and mines now have loyalty effects (both positive and negative).
  • Trader Loyalty Abilities: Traders gain the "Trade Route Loyalty Pressure" ability, adding +5 loyalty per turn to nearby cities, effectively using trade as a tool for maintaining control of expanding urban centers.

No, I also use Bear's Governors, w/o issue. This shouldn't touch them at all.
I'm NOT using Suk's UI adjustment, though - will test

Can't open "Toggle City Details" :( ... I am using Suk's Simple UI Adjustments as UI Mod.
Anyone else?

Doc: Capitals have been updated to always loyal, though this doesn't reflect in UI the first turn. This avoids that early game drag

This Mod seems VERY interesting. Is there a document with a detailed list of changes? I am interested in making it compatible with my own Mod ...
