I do try to aim for something that feels at least somewhat balanced, but ultimately it just comes down to gut feel and I don't really spend entire playthroughs or anything like that to figure out if something is properly balanced or not.
I am always open to balance-related suggestions, though.
what's your philosophy when it comes to balancing these? is it important to you that it feels balanced, like weighing the upsides with downsides properly? or do you have a more loose approach and don't really mind if certain races end up extremely powerful?
Also, tail spikes maybe. Finishing new mod first :p
...but in all seriousness, I can't really say for sure. I don't really have a plan for what mods I'm going to make next outside of the immediate future, as I'm just sorta following wherever my inspiration takes me, when it decides to strike me.
