Overview

This is a forked and updated version of Aephiex's original Advanced Ammo Storage & Supply mod.
The original mod is no longer maintained, and this version expands its functionality with additional overrides, added compatibility patches, and improved ammo logistics through sideways movement.



New Features and Improvements

Chaingun Ammo Support
- Chaingun and chaingun magazines now accept ammo transfer from belts

Compatibility with Additional Mods

More Cannons Mod: EMP and Nuke cannons now supported
Star Wars Mod: Supports mini-cluster, concussion, intruder, and hex missiles
Missile Mods: Compatible with Galactic Allegiance Missile Silos, Standalone Missile Silos, Jani’s Shipyard, and Advanced Missile Launcher
New Ammo Transfer System

Ammunition can transfer left, right, or forward
Improved Storage Durability

Armored storage bays provide additional protection
No roof access, maintaining balance and preventing excessive ammo stacking


Technical Details

This version mostly replaces and beta-maxes mod overrides per component by pushing to custom and vanilla storages

For example, HE Missile storage will attempt to transfer to HEMissileStorage__Aephiex components, CombinedMissileStorage, and MissileStorages
This means most mods now need no special updates or tweaks to be compatible

When supplying ammunition to the turret, there is a fivefold loss.
(Last time, I accidentally posted in my native language. Sorry about that.)

Please is it at all possible to get a version of the mod that doesn't bounce ammo around the ether, and just works like a conveyor as the original did? The compatibility, updates, and other features are nice, but the unpredictable conveyance behavior totally undermines the functionality.

I would like a version of this mod where it does NOT transfer ammo to the sides, because... the point of the transfer cargo, is to move from Point A to Point B. If you want a Disperser or something, sure, but don't break something that already works exactly for its purpose... With the current (ammo) Storage "upgrade", I have SO MUCH ammo jittering from cargo to cargo or not finishing moving because there's (gods forbid) a CORNER! D: where the ammo just bounces or doesn't move forward because it can go both directions. I'd have to send a pic to show all the DUMB SHIT that's happening because of this "small tweak" (that nobody asked for that's actively breaking builds).

But also thanks for taking the time to update the mod at all, I like it actually working for all ammo types and the only mod that I use that adds more ammo.

But by the GODS remove sideways transfer to other Ammo Storages, PLEASE I BEG OF YOU

alright i will be more clearer, take the right most ammo storage for the deck gun, or left most one, depens on your needs then if you choose the right most one, put to the left of it 3 coveyers belt that have the arrow point towars the left, or if you chose the left most one, have the 3 coveyers belt pointing to the right, basically you need to have the back of the other coveyers towards the side of the first coyever next to the gun, that way the ammo glictch will not happen, hope it helps

alright after some testing, i know the issue, bascially if you have 4 covers points at the gun, because they can move the ammo to the sides, it will rapidly trasfer between the side ammo coveyer, and because lets say right ammo coveyer has 16 shot, and left one has 20, the left one will send 4 to the right one, but then because the left one will have 16 now, and the right one will have 20 the right one will send the 4 back to that one, so it constantly happens causing this glitch, so for now the only fix that we can do its puting the 3 or over we need of coveyers side way, were the arrow points to left side or right side, and the back its on the side of the first coveyer belt which the arrow needs to point towards the gun.

hey, hope you are doing okay, i notice that having multiple covered belt line in a 4x3 style will cause a lot of ammo to start disapearing and reapearing, im going to test and see if having just a 4x1 build will cause it too but just letting you know about this bug
