Hide Player on Map and Center to Center

Description
This mod removes the player marker from the map.

If you try to center on the player in Kuttenberg, the map centers a little bit to the east of the middle of the map.

I'll see what I can do when I get a chance, and it's good to know that it at least works when it comes to everything else. The centering was always a little wonky, so maybe they have some new updated system for the centering that is better for modding.

I have a save ongoing in normal mode and I don't really feel like starting over just for that (+ I really don't like the mandatory negative perks that you have to chose). I wish Warhorse allowed players to disable the map/markers dynamically instead of forcing players to start a new game.

Anyway, this mod still works (except for the map centering), so that's that ! It would great if you find the time to fix it, but I don't want to rush you hehe. I'm already grateful for what's there.

Unfortunately this mod is now outdated as well. I would like to fix it as many people are playing regular game mode, but I haven't gotten a chance to get into it yet.

What this mod does is in hardcore mode already, so if you want to jump into that you'll get it. If not, you'll have to wait until I get my act together.

Hey Lawh, thanks for the mod ! And thanks to Derpaholic who pointed people from Scout's outdated mod to here !

I have a question : when opening the map, it centers on where the player is and zooms in to a point where it's extremely easy to pinpoint the player location. Is it intended ?
This kinda ruins the point. Do you know if it is possible to change that behaviour ?

So long as they don't get into each others' way, they should function like they didn't know where they came from. Hardcore mod should give us exactly what we want, and mods can tweak them a little further.

Thanks man, yeah I found a way to get what I was looking for by using bits of a broken mod that still worked lmao. I also pointed people over there to here in case others were looking for the same effect. I'm surprised how well it turned out honestly, iv'e never really used mods from the workshop AND nexus - I usually do one or the other but hey... it works!

I tried replying but Steam was down. Scout's mod does a lot of the things you wished for, although this mod and I think his mods might be for the pre-1.2 version, meaning that some things work differently now.

There are a couple of mods in my Steam Workshop that you can have a look at as well if needed.

Couldn't find a way to edit my comment but anyone looking for what I was I found a solution. You can use this mod in combination with 2 optional files from the nexus mod called Scout Hardcore mode. https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance2/mods/91?tab=posts&BH=0

Grab No Compass and No Fast Travel from the optional files and they all work well together with this mod.

I'm currently using this as a way to emulate having no map like KCD1's hardcore mode. This mod does exactly what it says it does in the description so there's no problem there. Those looking to emulate KCD1 hardcore modes navigation would need more things such as removing the dog icon, the compass, and the ability to right click a flag to the map or just lose the compass altogether to achieve that. This mod alone isn't enough to stop you from easily navigating the world. Is there another mod we could use in combination with this to get that effect?

If you download the modding tools, there is a documentation zip file in there. I had a little look at it but I am not familiar with KCD modding much. There is also the Discord server which I have yet to utilize.
