It helps boost it in search results for those who are looking for Half-Life content!

A variant of this asset pack was uploaded to the workshop by someone, but it has since disappeared. I've decided to upload my own version with some small changes.

IMPORTANT
  • Half-Life: Source must be installed and mounted for these assets to function properly.
  • This addon does not include any player models, usable weapons, or NPCs.
  • These are replacements, not separate "hexed" models. Not every model from Half-Life: Source is replaced. Some non-HD models have had their textures updated, mainly just to add normal maps.
  • The third-person weapon models that are held by the player are not the HD variants. I don't know how to rig the original HD third-person weapon models so they work with the standard player model skeleton, so please do not ask for these to be added.
  • References to the "Glock" and "MP5" weapons will still be present despite the weapon models being different guns. There isn't an easy way to fix this.
  • Duplications and saves that use the original Half-Life: Source assets will break.
  • This addon may or may not conflict with other addons related to Half-Life: Source. Use at your own risk. The addons marked as required are confirmed to not conflict with this addon and are recommended to be used in conjunction with this addon.
  • The Half-Life: Source HD crossbow arrow projectile model is included. However, it is renamed to "hl1_crossbow_bolt" to avoid conflicting with the default Half-Life 2 crossbow projectile model. This will not be "fixed" unless Facepunch adds a renamed model slot for the Half-Life: Source crossbow projectile model like they did for Barney, Gman, and the headcrab.

Correct. Although most will know these as the "HD" models that come with Half-Life: Source. The original assets were ported / made by the High Definition Source team.

Correct. Barney, Gman and the headcrab, have been renamed to replace the Gmod versions. There is no barnacle.

Regarding the crossbow:
The projectile fired by the HL crossbow in Gmod actually uses the HL2 bolt model since the asset is named the same in both HL2 and HL Source. Gmod does not have a separate model named something like "hl1bolt" or anything like the other models named the same. The projectile is so fast and it explodes on impact (like in HLDM Source) so there's no point to replacing the HL2 bolt projectile model with the HL one since nothing is left behind on impact. Replacing the bolt model with the HL one would cause an asset/continuity conflict when using the HL2 crossbow. The HL: Source HD model is included, just renamed as "hl1_crossbow_bolt".

did you rename barney, barnacle, gman, crossbow_bolt, headcrab to the gmod names so they dont replace hl2 models?
