Warriors Haven Framework
Warriors Haven Framework is our attempt at building an I&A gamemode from the ground up, porting over features we've developed in our own modification of Quiksilver's Invade & Annex, and rewriting other systems to make it easier for us to develop new objectives and functionality.

Source code: https://github.com/Warriors-Haven-Gaming/WHFramework

⚠️ This map is intended as a simple, experimental version to try out the gamemode without any mods. We haven't designed a full-fledged base for players to start in, so equipment options will be limited.

Map List
- Altis (You are here)
- Mogadishu
- Regero
- Tanoa
- Yulakia

Features
Warriors Haven Framework provides a reoccurring main objective and side objectives procedurally generated across the map, using terrain features and marked locations to take full advantage of the map's topography. The main objective aims for infantry-focused combat, providing lightly armored vehicles and turrets that players can dispatch with their firearms alone. However, players can also opt for combined arms tactics, with dozens of ground and aerial vehicles to choose from.

Worried about playing this gamemode alone? Recruits are always available to fight with you, capable of reviving and sustaining themselves in prolonged firefights. When you get incapacitated without a medic nearby, use up your medical supplies to revive yourself and get back into combat. If you're not keen on driving across the map to reach the next objective, request a halo jump from anywhere and dive down in a line of parachutes.

Factions
The following vanilla factions are always available for OPFOR:
- CSAT
- CSAT (Pacific)
- AAF
- LDF
- Syndikat
- NATO *
- NATO (Pacific) *

Additional factions are supported with the following CDLC and mods:
- Expeditionary Forces
- Western Sahara
- CUP Vehicles and Units
- RHSAFRF

* To fight against BLUFOR factions, you must enable them in the gamemode's CBA Settings. These factions are converted to the OPFOR side when spawned.

How do I play?
Once subscribed, you can host the gamemode by going to Server Browser > Host Server, and then select Warriors Haven Framework from the appropriate map. You may choose to host LAN if you want to play alone.

For dedicated server hosters, you will need to copy and rename the mission file from your workshop directory:
  1. Navigate to <Steam>/steamapps/workshop/content/107410/3455424755
  2. Copy the <numbers>_legacy.bin file into your server's MPMissions directory.
  3. Rename it to WHFramework.Altis.pbo.
  4. In your server.cfg, use WHFramework.Altis as the template name.

Dedicated server hosters may also consider using our suggested BattlEye filters[github.com] to improve security. See this DayZ BattlEye Guide[opendayz.net] for more information.

CBA Settings
Installing CBA_A3 allows server hosters and players to customize the gamemode to their liking in the Configure Addons menu. Various settings are provided for OPFOR factions, skill levels, max recruits, vehicle Active Protection Systems, self-reviving, number of objectives, and more. Without CBA_A3, the default settings are always used.

ACE Compatibility
Certain features like damage reduction and our revive system are disabled when ACE is loaded. However, we don't normally test ACE with this gamemode, so you may encounter issues with it.

Recommended Modpacks

Can I publish derivatives of this gamemode?
Warriors Haven Framework is written under the MIT license, so you are free to modify and redistribute it as long as you retain the original license in your project. However, we recommend following these guidelines if you plan on publishing your version to the workshop:
  1. Remove "Warriors Haven Framework" from the workshop title.
  2. Include WHF somewhere in the title, for example "WHF Remastered (Altis)" or "The Righteous Spearhead (WHF)".
  3. In the description, add a notice explaining that your version is a derivative of Warriors Haven Framework.
  4. Under the above notice, include either a link to this workshop page, or a link to our GitHub repository.

Technically you can download the mission PBOs from GitHub and drag them into your Arma 3's MIssions/ directory, which will make them show up as regular SP scenarios. However, the game doesn't let you respawn in SP, so if you die, you'll have to restart with fresh objectives and lose your previous progress.

I recommend opening the Server Browser > Host Server interface to start a LAN server, then you can start the gamemode solo and no one will be able to join your server.

Will there be one for single player?

WHF has its own CBA keybind for Left Windows (see Controls > Configure Addons), and it reveals some actions like cruise control and magazine repacking for vanilla players. It's a bit awkward with ACE though, so I think replacing that menu with ACE interactions would be nice.

Halo jumping originally came from my I&A modification when there weren't any transport pilots to fly players around. It's upgraded to allow halo jumping anywhere with both vehicles and recruits, but you can permanently turn it off by lowering the "Halo Limit (Players)" setting to 0.

BTW, since the Altis version doesn't have a great base, have you considered building your own base in Eden Editor? The misisons are open sourced so you can quickly load it into Eden Editor and change it, and I wrote a guide [github.com] for transferring the gamemode to any map (Tanoa, Chernarus, etc.) if you're interested!

Might have found another bug. I run with ACE on because I kind of like ACE medical. When I press Left Windows I get ability to HALO Jump where ever I am on the map. It is kind of strange. Unknown if this is a bug or a feature

IT WORKS! YIPPIE!!! I had a SMALL issue that I will TRY and recreate where I did a Halo Jump and my rifle and sidearm did not shoot, but my launcher was working. Strange. But if I cannot its fine. I had a small idea for you as well. As someone who loves the sci-fi stuff on this game. Maybe on your next time you want to. Put a bunch of Sci-FI factions to be fought like the innies from OpTre and etc. You do not have, but it is an idea as there is not a lot plug-in and play missions on workshop with masssive requirements lists

Hotfix published! You may need to re-subscribe for the gamemode to update, if the CBA settings are still missing.

aaaa crap, I know the issue now. It's a bug in the mission, I'll do an update shortly to fix it!

I am looking at the Server section of Configure Addons menu. Still black for some reason,
thegamecracks  [author] 22 Jun @ 2:23pm
Oh, are you hosting the gamemode through Server Browser > Host Server? If so, that should mean you're the admin by default...

In the Configure Addons menu, are you looking at the Server, Mission, or Client settings? Most of them are only configurable in the Server tab, and the Mission tab will always be completely greyed out. Client doesn't apply when your game is the host, so that tab would be disabled entirely.
Brother Cross 22 Jun @ 12:24pm
Hmmmm I seem to be still having the issue. I am playing off my own computer and not a dedicated server so I am unsure if I am doing anything wrong.
