DEI Equilibrium

Description
DEI Equilibrium is a submod for Divide et Impera (DEI) designed for those who find the original experience too challenging.
This modification balances gameplay by making empire management more approachable without sacrificing DEI's strategic essence.

Key Features:

Enhanced Economy: Increased income from provinces and commercial activities
Optimized Food Management: Higher food production
Reduced Tax System: Reduced negative impact of taxation on public order
Stabilized Public Order: Public order bonuses across all provinces
Empowered Diplomacy: Greater profits from trade agreements
More Profitable Slavery System: Increased economic benefits from slave management
Increased experience for generals.
Reduced building costs
Reduced recruitment costs

This submod is perfect for players who want to enjoy DEI's historical and tactical depth without the frustration of an overly punitive economy and excessively complex management systems.

I can be wrong but i think this mod gets rid of slaves faster. Cus when i enslave like a city or army they are gone within 1 turn. So i get the money from the slaves that turn and then poof gone.

The PO and other stuff works right now. Just a minor problem, idk if this mod did it but, Banditry went to permanent 0 and the slaves too, ain't got none of them

First of all, thanks for the mod. I have to say, it makes things a bit overpowered, but it's great for quick campaigns that let you enjoy many aspects of DeI.

That said, there’s one thing that really stands out to me: enemy settlements only hold out for 1 turn when besieged (2 if they have a port). This basically forces you to launch a rushed assault with ladders, or pushes the enemy to sally out and fight.

I don’t know—maybe that’s how you intended it, but since the AI still takes several turns to react, it throws the balance off a bit.

For example on mid level taxes its an 84% tax rate

Something I have realized is that the Tax rate is so high that the only way to get a positive population growth is the set the taxes to the least amount otherwise you have no population growth.

Any chance of adding a bit less punishing auto resolve modifications to this great mod?

Hello again, so I'm playing as Rome on very hard difficulty. Just played with the extra bonus and compensated by increasing the difficulty. Holy shit, DEI is still very hard even with the extra bonuses.

Okay, made two different campaigns (didn't play beyond starting them) on Very Hard for Rome, based on my earlier testing.

Equilibrium above all DEI parts: More money, +40 PO universally, +36 San per region, -25 loyalty for all political parties

Equilibrium below all DEI parts: More money, no PO bonus, no San bonus, +40 loyalty for all political parties from government type

Can you try to make a new campaign on very hard difficulty, Rome, to see if u get the same or not. Let me know please

Going to add, I checked sanitation and it seems to be at a base of 36 for a region that has no modifiers to it beyond the -1 from the most basic town structure itself. I also decided to see what happened if I put your mod at the absolute bottom like what Mystik_Akhyro suggested. Granted, I'm still using the base mod loader and not one of the fan ones, but doing that I am now getting the base +5 PO from difficulty, I'm making more money but not the quadrupled amount (about 1.6k more I believe), and it looks like the sanitation stats have gone back to normal. I'm still getting +40 loyalty to all political parties though. Not sure if that's intentional on your part or not.
