That said, there’s one thing that really stands out to me: enemy settlements only hold out for 1 turn when besieged (2 if they have a port). This basically forces you to launch a rushed assault with ladders, or pushes the enemy to sally out and fight.
I don’t know—maybe that’s how you intended it, but since the AI still takes several turns to react, it throws the balance off a bit.
Equilibrium above all DEI parts: More money, +40 PO universally, +36 San per region, -25 loyalty for all political parties
Equilibrium below all DEI parts: More money, no PO bonus, no San bonus, +40 loyalty for all political parties from government type
While I appreciate the economic enhancement (I loaded this on a campaign in progress) and seeing my income quadruple with just Italy under my control, playing as Rome on normal, I'm also getting +40 public order from difficulty level in every region for my provinces. It's clear I shouldn't be getting that much PO and I'm questioning if my income should have gone up as it did to. Also, I noticed that all political parties in my faction also have a "+40 loyalty from government type" modifier, when I'm still a republic, meaning they should all have the -10 modifier from that. I don't think that's meant to be happening. I'm using the base mod loader, tested with your mod above all DEI parts and below any other submod as well as above everything.
It's a +40 difficulty bonus (i'm using normal difficulty and with the fix it's stay at +5).
Is there any idea why this order changed everything ? I feel like putting DEI Equilibrium after Divide et Impera have really good balance. I'll try another campaign with Runcher Mod manager load order and see if this still happen
I've added the mod and now got like +40 difficulty bonus on public order instead of the +5 for normal difficulty. I'm ok for public order adjustement but +40 that's HUGE lol.
Same for economy, went from +5000/turn to +23000/turn but after disabling i went to -5300.
It works for me on saved games
2) yes
Vanilla is easier
2. Can I remove this mid-campaign?
3. Are the balance changes closer to vanilla or more overpowered/overtuned? I might want it for a sligltly DEI-balanced game, but nothing that would trivialize everything.
