Cold Tactical Gun Styles

Description
Ever feel like your pawns need some black rifles ready for a 90s action flick. Bringing that mid to late cold war vibe. Then this style pack is for you.

Content
This is purely a style mod for both Vanilla and VWE's industrial firearms. It can be added mid game, but will require either reforming your ideology, or DEV edits to your ideology.

To make an item in this style, whenever you manufacture an item, in the additional details, there is a pull down tab that will let you select the style.

To change an item into this style, as far as I know, you will need an additional mod to let you.

Design Philosophy
When making these icons, I was going for weapons in games like Half Life 1 or SWAT 4, as well as taking inspiration from some renditions of cyberpunk, and the upcoming game Beta Decay. Doing away with rails for a clean, sleek tactical appearance.

I did try and make the weapons look unique, but also like they fill the role they are being put into. Such as the Sniper being an AWM, and the other snipers all being vaguely 308. Or adjusting the "Lever Action"s icon to have a magazine more reflecting something like 30 carbine.

But with those choices, I know that some of the options can be somewhat cursed, like none of the bullpups are actually bullpups, ore all the lever actions aren't. My design goals was just to make weapons seem roughly like how they act, not perfectly fit the original description.

If you want to see the weapons better
I would recomend this mod to help unblur them, and this mod to zoom in more.

In closing
I hope you all like my... second attempt at making Rimworld icons. And if there are any issue let me know. I did test everything, but things can slip through the cracks.

I love these gun styles

Unless they changed idiology, or VWE changed, it should still work. Going to test it tonight and add the 1.6 tag
1.6 Brother????? Your mod allows you to diversify your weapon options without downloading millions of other guns. Please don't abandon us.

Thanks for clearing that up

None, they add an idiology style. Unless you are asking what has textures, in which case the image above should tell ya.

Question: what texture mods do these guns replace?

Apologies for the delayed response, steam ate my last message. I can't quite tell what is going on due to it not exactly telling me more than there is an issue with RimWorld.Dialog_ConfigureIdeo. I would recomend trying to reorder my mod to be above Gun Nut since the core does edit VWE weapons, or teasting it without those mods. I might be able to help with the debug log (C:\buildslave\unity\build\Runtime/Export/Debug/Debug.bindings.h)

Hello again, I know what I sent wasnt very helpful, I'm still new to rimworld modding so please forgive me.
I am still having that issue that I mentioned on the 25th but now I have the error report.

Exception filling window for RimWorld.Dialog_ConfigureIdeo: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
[Ref 9BD76D05] Duplicate stacktrace, see ref for original
UnityEngine.StackTraceUtility:ExtractStackTrace ()
(wrapper dynamic-method) MonoMod.Utils.DynamicMethodDefinition:Verse.Log.Error_Patch5 (string)
(wrapper dynamic-method) MonoMod.Utils.DynamicMethodDefinition:Verse.Window.InnerWindowOnGUI_Patch0 (Verse.Window,int)
UnityEngine.GUI:CallWindowDelegate (UnityEngine.GUI/WindowFunction,int,int,UnityEngine.GUISkin,int,single,single,UnityEngine.GUIStyle)

I have this in case this helps.

So in order for this to work, you need to both have ideology, and add the new style to your ideology. Then to edit any existing item you will need a mod like the one linked above
