Description
OPERATION NEPTUNE
COOP: [1 - 60]

Summary:
Operation Neptune is a fully persistent, semi-open-world cooperative mission that recreates Missions Albany and Boston from D-Day’s airborne operations. Players take the role of American paratroopers from the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions, scattered behind enemy lines in Normandy. The goal is to regroup, capture key objectives, and disrupt German defenses ahead of the amphibious landings at Utah Beach.

The mission blends scripted objectives with open-ended freedom. Progress, player stats, AI unit status, and battlefield conditions are saved automatically, allowing for long-term play across multiple sessions.

While designed for up to 60 players, the mission is fully playable solo with an integrated AI recruitment system that allows players to build and lead their own squads, complete objectives, and manage logistics.

Features:
  1. Full persistence (auto-saves every 60 seconds).
  2. Over 60 objectives: Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary.
  3. Discoverable hidden objectives via intel or POW interrogation.
  4. Open-ended objective progression—play your way.
  5. Dynamic enemy patrols and counterattacks.
  6. Respawn system using Glider LZs, Command Posts, and Captured Sectors.
  7. Support, Command, and Build menus with customizable access.
  8. In-game Mission Guide (access via scroll-wheel).
  9. Custom difficulty and performance options via mission parameters.
  10. Voice acting, ambient radio chatter, and music.
  11. Optional realism via medical, fatigue, and gear loss settings.

Core Systems Overview:

Objectives:
  • 15 Primary Objectives – Required to complete the mission.

  • Supply-based actions accessed via Build, Command, or Support menus.
  • Permissions for each menu are configurable in mission parameters.

Intel System:

  • POWs can be interrogated to reveal hidden objectives.

Explosives System:

Thanks man! I've been thinking of making one based on similar systems. Maybe if I get time soon.

If you made a full CTI scenario/gamemode some day that would slap so damn hard. This is a great scenario, great job! I aspire to hit this level of mission making personally someday. I've been wanting to see, or someday make, something like this for SOG Prairie Fire or GM.

Anyways, great job!

I just modded my own. Like the "airborne plane" and other various descriptors.

I used a combination of vanilla markers and modded markers.

How did you do the map in the second screenshot?

That's good to hear, I hope you enjoy it! I'll be sure to keep an eye out and post the link here if ya end up doing it.

Not even left the starting airfield yet and feel so immersed. I've not uploaded a mission/mod showcase to youtube in a while, this seems worthy and not even fired a shot yet :steamhappy:
