Description
Carim
Open Source mods for DayZ

Full documentation (including configuration for server owners) is in the README on GitHub: https://github.com/CarimDayZ/dayz-mod-carim/blob/main/README.md

This Open Source mod includes all the features Carim has to offer:
  1. Autorun
  2. Chat
  3. Compass
  4. Map
  5. Nametags
  6. Party
You are free to use this mod on your monetized servers. The works are licensed under the Apache License[www.apache.org].

Autorun

Provides autorunning functionality. Start and stop using the configurable key (default: '+'). Adjust the running speed using your normal keybinds.

Chat

Provides global chat. Switch chat channels with the press of a configurable key (default: 'Z'). Adjust size with configurable keys (up: ']', down: '[').

Compass

Provides a compass at the top of the display with the press of a configurable key (default: 'H').

Map

Provides an in-game map for saving markers and viewing party members. Open with the vanilla configurable key (default: 'M'). Double-click to add a marker, double-right-click to edit and remove. Toggle visibility with a configurable key (default: 'K').

To apply a nicer style than vanilla with additional locations, you can use the CarimMapStyle mod.

Nametags

Provides ability to configure zones to display player nametags by specifying a position and radius. Toggle visibility with a configurable key (default: 'K').

Party

Allows creation of parties and displaying of nametags of party members. There is no party size limit.

Parties are managed by the player. Open the menu (default key: 'P'), and Add players to your party. If they have also added you, then your nametags will automatically appear. Parties are saved, so you don't have to re-create it each time you login. They also work for whatever server runs the mod.

Tactical pings can be placed (default key: 'T', clear with 'Y') that will be shared with your party.

Toggle visibility of markers and nametags with a configurable key (default: 'K').

Optionally, servers can configure Admin Ids that allow adding party members without them needing to add back.

Yes, you can set up nametags for the full map. Having markers be unique per server is an upcoming feature. Repacking is discouraged, but not prohibited. I provide no support for repacks.

You can disable any part of the mod via server-side configuration. Look at the readme on GitHub for details.

This would be a perfect mod if it didn't have the map also. I am just not a fan of the map part of it. Is it possible to turn that part off?

I've been running the individual schana mods for a while. When they all got combined into one initially I was a little disapointed. But this is a great mod. I really appreciate the way it is very configurable so I can use the bits I want and disable the bits I don't. It took me a bit to figure out how to get the config the way I wanted but, that was a me issue, and I understand how it works now. I also really appreciate that the config goes into cfggameplay.json. Much easier than having another file to maintain. Thanks for all of your work on it.

Next time I recommend opening a ticket if you're having trouble following the configuration instructions.

With update and wipe I finally got rid of that carim mod, back to map++, will try other party mods. You Sir screwed things really bad by combining everything in one mod.
