LVC-4D Excubitor

Description
The Excubitor
A small grid fighter inspired by Homeworld 3 strike craft

The LVC-4D Excubitor is an agile fighter-interceptor, built for fleet defense or fast attack roles. The Excubitor is designed to be fielded from a carrier or forward operating base. It has no O2/H2 generator, but the large H2 tank provides sufficient endurance for long engagements. When operating inside gravity wells it should not wander too far from its home base.

Features include high acceleration in all axes, high turn rates and small frontal area. All of this, combined with high damage output, allows a skilled pilot to defeat heavier vessels. The strategic armor placement increases survivability from frontal fire, but constant maneuvering is a must for any engagement. Care must be taken when facing several enemies simultaneously, as the main H2 tank is exposed at the top and bottom of the craft.

If you print this in survival, either build it off a conveyor attached to the H2 tank, or place an auxiliary H2/O2 gen at the top of the H2 tank. This way you'll have fuel to dock to a station/mothership. The docking manager will automatically handle refueling and recharging. Be careful not to hit the H2 tank when docking/landing.

@Wrench I'm totally fine with it if credit is given, actually I'm happy people like it enough to tinker with it!

Are you going to Publish the drone variant at some point?
IngenieroFeliz  [author] 24 May @ 1:28pm
Yes, the Gaalsien fighter had influence on the prototype for sure (the atmo variant came first, and was more like the DoK designs). Only when I switched to the flush cockpit I decided to 'cut' the wings at sharp angles. I feel It looks better in SE, and saves weight.
So it's cool you've noticed!
Ohhhh Noooo 23 May @ 5:02pm
I love them, though honestly they make me think of the Gaalsien fighters from DoK. Not that I'm complaining, there's a shortage of modless DoK craft.

Awesome! I look forward to seeing it! patiently of course lol

@Onyx95 I still have to properly set all AI functions, and also do combat trials, so it could take a few days...
Then there's also the atmo version, which is almost done and I'd like to finish first.
