Description
The Rothen-pattern Fireship (UNSC three-letter classification: PCS-class Fireship) is a Covenant warship classification notable for its specialized role and compact frame. Measuring approximately 1,246 feet (380 meters) in length, it is considered a small vessel by Covenant standards. Unlike most warships of its size, the Fireship lacks standard features such as hangars, gravity lifts, and crew accommodations. Every available cubic meter is instead allocated to housing the ship’s oversized energy projector and high-capacity pulsed power systems. These cramped and hazardous internal conditions make the Fireship barely habitable and exceptionally dangerous for its crew, due to their constant exposure to unshielded plasma conduits and volatile energy feedback.

Despite its modest scale, the Rothen-pattern Fireship carries an outsized punch. It is one of the only known Covenant vessels outside of carriers and heavy cruisers to mount a full-scale N'nap-pattern heavy plasma lance, typically reserved for larger capital ships. Supporting its primary weapon are three Felo-pattern heavy plasma beam emitters, identical to those used on the Varric-pattern heavy cruiser, as well as six Mixal-pattern plasma beam emitters. However, the Fireship lacks any form of point-defense weaponry or smaller-scale armaments, rendering it vulnerable to nimble enemy ships and strikecraft that can exploit its defensive blind spots.

This ship was a very weird one to make. The most unique part of it is the plasma lance—unfortunately, I couldn’t replicate a heavy one due to size constraints. The armor is incredibly light, and pretty much useless against anything bigger than a frigate. That said, it’s surprisingly fast compared to something like the Gladius-class, which gives it some tactical flexibility.

All that being said, I hope you enjoy this glass cannon of a ship, and more will be on the way soon.
