Description

This mod fully implements bulk storage solutions for all of your uorganized needs. This includes an outdoor suitable freezer that can store perishable meals and ingredients, updating textures for nearly all storage objects, and some paintable structures to make these objects fit into your colony a bit more.

I had a rights conflict issue regarding the corpse/chunk storage portion of the mod, and moved the corpse portion of the mod to a separate mod where deadlife is required to be subscribed. LINK: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3520137249

Why should I consider using the Adaptive Storage Framework over LWM's Deep Storage?
LWM's Deep Storage has a passive overhead and is generally less optimized than ASF. LWM was a great mod when it was released because it allowed you to store items in objects using its own integrated system prior to support. However, now this is out of date because this feature is supported natively. ASF's thingdefs use the vanilla maxItemsInCell field while LWM's runs alongside vanilla creating passive overhead along side retaining various limitations regarding stack numbers causing a drain on your TPS and FPS. Beyond just using the vanilla system ASF also introduces some seriously cool features like graphics that update as you store items and allows you to hide the rendering of items that are stored away.

How do I edit the storage capacity of the objects?
Find the ThingDef.xml for the object you want to edit and change the # value in:
<maxItemsIncell>#</maxItemsInCell>

Can I add this mid-play through? Yes!
Here are some different scenarios:
- I want to replace Primitive Storage and or LWM's Deep Storage with the Adaptive series.
1. Deconstruct all instances of PS and LWMs.
2. Save the game and quit.
3. Add my mod.

Thanks to the ASF team!

I've just found out on a reddit post that if you "link settings", they link all together and start sorting themselves, I was about to install a mod I've just found, "Stack Stuff First", but I just linked the configs and they started condensing the things, thank god lol
I'll leave both posts so people with the same issue can refer to lol
a suggestion, maybe add a section on the main page about this as well?
"Combining stacks across the same type of storage": "Just link the settings, your pawns will start to condense the items together"

Thank you for this really useful mod, I've been using it in place of the very OP but useful Deep Storage, but when it was not updated for 1.6, I switched to yours. It feels more balanced.

Although I am having a slight nuisance which there was a mod to sort out on 1.5(I sadly don't remember the name), but not on 1.6;
I end up with a lot of copies of the same item spread through multiple triple layer racks, it's quite annoying as it occupies a lot of space that could've been used to something else as the racks store 48 stacks, so if you have 8 different stacks of bluegel across 16 racks, it's such a waste of space lmao

@bradson Thank you! I noticed the stack limit and thought maybe but couldn't find the mod, after searching I found it was stockpile stack limit. Thanks again!

Ogrestack doesn't affect that. Pawns not hauling to stacks is usually caused by hauling mods or the kind of stack size limiting mods that add sliders to buildings

So I'm playing with this and ogrestack, has there been issues of only having 2/8 stacks filled in some storage containers despite having more items in a stockpile but cant be hauled to the storage container because it says no room or simply can't be hauled?
