Loading Progress

Description
Loading Progress is a RimWorld mod that adds a detailed loading progress window to the game. It visually tracks each stage of RimWorld's startup process, showing which step is currently running. This makes waiting for RimWorld to start slightly more interesting. The mod is especially useful for those with large mod lists. No configuration required—just install and enjoy better insight into your game's loading process!

Mod incompatibility
No known specific mod incompatibilities at this time.

If you encounter any issues, try disabling the Enable patching of initialization code setting of Loading Progress to remove the most likely source of incompatibility. If that still doesn't work (and frankly, even if it does), please leave me a bug report so I can address the problem.

Could it be possible to adjust the position of the progress bar, such as at the top or bottom, to better appreciate the background?

Or edit the save, which is stored as plain text. Just be careful if you do that not to change anything else or you might break something.

I figured out the problem. Long story short, RimWorld uses the first mod that has translations in it to set up its language metadata, and when that's us instead of RimWorld (Core), all hell breaks loose. So I added a fix to skip our mod as a potential candidate for language metadata during startup, which seems to have fixed the problem. A new release is building as I'm typing this and will probably be uploaded in less than five minutes.

There's nothing I can do to fix bad strings already generated by the game, unfortunately. So you're going to have to live with lower case faction names and poor pluralization on things already existing in a save.

Thanks for looking into it! I bet it's something really small and dumb lmao

Alright, thanks folks, I'll look into the language problem. At least it's a relatively low-impact bug, haha.

Sorry for the late reply, but that pops up when a herd of animals joins your colony.

The capitalization issues meanwhile pop up with custom human names from mods.

@ilyvion

To further confirm @Fungus Kreeman's comment; this mod does mess up the capitalisation of names. Took me ages to narrow it down as I didn't expect it to be this! I tested it by having only this mod (and Harmony) with the base game and the DLCs.

Steps I used to reproduce:
1. With this mod and Harmony enabled, create a new colony
2. Progress through the menus until you get to tile selection on the map
3. Open the 'Factions' tab, then look at the faction names

I've seen things such as 'The orange Empire' and 'Pog-pog concord.' What tipped me off to the issue was seeing various pawns in the world with names which are lower case, e.g. 'otto' and 'llorocan.'

i think because when nothing happens in screen (at least for me even with the changing background) the game freezes, meanwhile with this mod there always something changin up, speeding up the charge

@MisterdinoPrime: Well, that's cool. Hopefully it's not because I broke something about your game...
