There's nothing I can do to fix bad strings already generated by the game, unfortunately. So you're going to have to live with lower case faction names and poor pluralization on things already existing in a save.
Sorry for the late reply, but that pops up when a herd of animals joins your colony.
The capitalization issues meanwhile pop up with custom human names from mods.
To further confirm @Fungus Kreeman's comment; this mod does mess up the capitalisation of names. Took me ages to narrow it down as I didn't expect it to be this! I tested it by having only this mod (and Harmony) with the base game and the DLCs.
Steps I used to reproduce:
1. With this mod and Harmony enabled, create a new colony
2. Progress through the menus until you get to tile selection on the map
3. Open the 'Factions' tab, then look at the faction names
I've seen things such as 'The orange Empire' and 'Pog-pog concord.' What tipped me off to the issue was seeing various pawns in the world with names which are lower case, e.g. 'otto' and 'llorocan.'
Not sure how the hell that came about, but when I removed the mod things were back to normal.
my game works fine with it and my other 87 mods
best try to disable one by one of yours till it does not crash so you see the problematic one
IDK why. I have all the vanilla extended, dubs hygiene, and various quality of life mods and texture packs. Under 200 mods total.
My mod interferes with the loading process slightly, which can be disabled fully by turning off the Enable patching of initialization code setting, although it makes the loading process a lot less pleasant again.
I'm hoping to sort out any issues as they come in.
I tried Chinese simplified, Chinese traditional and Japanese and got same errors.
Only tested with Core + all DLCs.
I argued that being able to see the bar moving towards the end is very reassuring.
However, if this breaks mods, it defeats the object.
Have you managed to avoid this fatal flaw?
Does 'Loading Progress' interfere with mods, or will they generally run as desired?
(this time the game will ether load till a save in which no modded textures load or it will just load the game but not display anything except a broken log window)
theres still some small stuff but this may be the first that does it
For now-
