[B42] Take A Bath And Shower : WIP

Description
This mod is still incomplete. "Taking a bath" has not been implemented, and various problems remaining, but please try it out.
Please report if you find any bugs. And please also send me your feedback and ideas for improvement.

This mod was developed with this theme in mind.

This mod brings meaning to taking a bath or shower.
Bathing wash is not just recreation, it's a necessity for survival.

Do you think you can get a clean body just by washing yourself at the sink (or toilet...)?
We can probably survive without shower, but that should never be ideal.

  • Adds an invisible dirt parameter called Grime.
  • Even if you do nothing, slightly accumulates Grime on your body.
  • If you too much GRIME accumulated, it will make you feel discomfort, give off a foul smell, and in severe cases, make you sick.
  • If blood and dirt is left on your body, Grime will more accumulates.
  • So important to wash the body frequently when it is dirty.
  • It still makes sense to wash yourself in the sink to remove superficial dirt and blood.
  • However washing yourself with sink will not completely remove Grime. (Even if you use soap, Grime may not wash off completely.)
  • This mod will Vanilla's wash-self reduces action time by 50%.
  • My guess is that if you wash-self frequently at the sink or take a shower every 2-3 days, Grime won't be a problem for you at all.

  • "Take Shower" options available with white shower, wall shower and white bath. (because bath sprites also has a shower)
  • There is a concept of hot and cold water.
  • You need electricity to use hot water.
  • Use hot water warms your body and reduces stress and more.
  • If you taking a hot shower on a cold day, you can get a buff. (Efficacy not implemented yet...)
  • Using cold water usually causes feel a stress and an unpleasant wet.
  • However, if you taking a cold shower on a hot day, you can get a buff. (Efficacy not implemented yet...)
  • You can also use soap, which is placed on the same grid as the shower.
  • Added "Body Shampoo" as an alternative to soap. (Currently only available in the shower.)

  • There are a variety of options.
  • You can choose the dress/undress speed from "Fast", "One Action", and "Vanilla".
  • You can also drops to ground it when undressing.
  • All undressed items will be re-equipped after bathing, including attached items.

  • You can disable automatic dress/undress in the Sandbox options, but that's kind of a Hardcore Mode.
  • Bathing with your clothes on can help remove dirt and blood from your clothes, but it has very uncomfortable and bored for you.

  • The wetness by bathing is feels pleasant.
  • However, if you take a cold shower on a non-hot day, you'll soaking normal wet.
  • The pleasant wetness after a bath will change into normal soaking wet over time. Be careful catch a cold.
  • Before a bathing, check if you have a bath towel in your inventory.
    Recommend
    Bath Towels Overhaul

Fixes tile properties for Baths, Showers, and Wall Showers.
  • Bathtub will not stored no invisible water.
  • Shower to move and install, you will need a pipe wrench, not a hammer.
  • After the water supply is shut off, a small amount of water will remain in the faucet of the shower. (enough to drink)
  • Wall shower will moveable, and can be install and plumbing.
  • Removes "PickUpLevel" property which will preventing shower move.
  • These have additional compatibility function that make them compatible with mods tile's Baths and Showers.

Set up a proper Depth Map
Fixed bath and shower depth maps, including bath overlays.

Incompatible MOD?

Good Compatibility MOD
  • Tomb's Player Body Overhaul - This mod my favorite! (used in screenshots.) anyway, I recommend Body-Retexture (nude) mods.
  • Wash or Rot - Grime functions are similar but different, so they can coexist, and may work well together in the future.
  • More Damaged Objects - Load this mod before MDO (auto-sorting should work).

Required MOD

Future Plans
  • Release function to Take a Bath.
  • Add dedicated UI for bathing.
  • Add the bath additives items to be used when take a bath.
  • I planning to bath additives that will have efficacy such as fatigue recovery, pain relief, and healing, depending on the type.
  • Collect rainwater on bathtub. (probably not...)
  • Add north and west facing variants of white shower.
  • Add clean variants of white bath.
  • Bath time can be determined arbitrarily.
  • Improve wash animation.
  • Balance adjustments to various parameter.
  • Code cleanup and optimization.

Is there any plans to be able to fill the tub when the water shutoff happens?

@diegogcunha It is possible to remove MF requirement by not using this mod's own Moodle, so I would like to consider that option as well.

@Sera Your report helped us learn of a potential incompatibility with that mod. I think there are other Body Mods with similar functionality, and I hope to be able to support those mods in some way.

Tem como voltar aos moddles originais do jogo? .. infelizmente esse "Moddle Framework" que é requisito para este mod mudou os moodles e realmente não gostei deles mudarem.

-Can you go back to the original moodles of the game? Unfortunately this "moddle framework" which is a requirement for this mod changed the moodles and I really didn't like them to change.

Okay, so I've done some testing and found the issue quite quickly.
On a vanilla save, the mod works as intended.
The issue was that I'm using the Anthro Survivors mod that quite heavily changes the character model, and it seems the mod isn't picking up on that. I don't know how any of this works but I'm guessing the new models have parts that aren't part of the mod's programming and as such isn't affected.

I understand it's a niche mod so I'm not expecting a fix, but thanks anyway for your efforts and apologies for wasting your time.

@Si-Cafe Tried it just now and... well the grime is once again being removed, but the blood and dirt remain. It's very possible that it's a mod conflict since I'm getting a few error messages on start up, but since I have around 20+ mods it's difficult to figure out which one is causing it.

I'll try it on a save with no other mods loaded and see if that changes anything.

@Sera By the way, has your character ever noxious smell from grime? I'd like to know if this problem occurs to everyone.
Si-Cafe  [author] 4 Aug @ 2:49am
@Sera No matter what I tried, I couldn't reproduce the problem in my environment. I'm not sure, but it might be that the trigger variable for cleaning the body was cached for some reason...
So I added code to force initialize the variable before the action starts.
Could you try this to see if it solves the problem?
