Description
I took a basic ship printer design that Ravric use on his Midnight Carrier and took it to the next level. And while not 100% perfect its does a good job of printing MOST (some are to big and some cause the piston to go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy) small ships.

This printer has the ability to store 10 different ship is its projectors (if you think 10 is too many the first one 1 was going to build would have had 24). Once a ship is place in a projector and is aligned properly with the construction boom you can save the ship in the projector for later. So if say it gets destroyed or you want another its at the push of a few buttons.

There Printer does has its limitations, most can be easily over come with a little engineering. If you want it bigger or smaller you just need to add/remove welders assign them to the proper groups and adjust the sensor field. Plus if you have bigger ship you can have the piston go up another 3 meters.

This printer use the Larger rotor top, small rotor base in two places. This can be built in survival but it can be a bit tricky for those who have never done it before.

I used a script "Precise Timers" by SioxerNic which allows the timers to work off of frames per second in stead of seconds, which allow for better timer control. This helped me turn the welders on/off quicker which helps reduce lag.

I will also include the timer and group setups along with the sensor settings so if you want to build you own printer its a bit easier.

No Mods were used in the creation of this printer.

An earlier version of this printer was show in a video by Scottsdragon here is the link to that video as well.

Except when it doesn't work. I tried printing my Dragonfly Fighter, and it paused. I had everything correct, but it didn't work. I checked the timers, and nothing had a bar on it. I think it got messed up when it got to the programmable block.
What can I do to fix this?

I was getting ready to build one. Been watching some vids on the various ones out there. I see you are working on a new one. You got any ETA yet? Will it be any bigger? Buildable in survival, I realize that might take some extra effort but as long as it can be done. Should I wait? :)

I wish we could get the small grids working via Projectors. I had to copy just the frames but the buttons are not working :(

I went to creative mode and tested v.3 and it works perfectly. like the author says it does have some flaws but easily fixable. For one I can make it a lot bigger which is very easy to do. For viewing sake, I could make that control station a lot higher which should help placing the blueprint in the correct spot but besides that I think its good and small enough to do. Now I have to go in survival and build it which I don't even know if its going to work since it does say something about the rotor placement in survival...any tips on that part ?

Properties of IMySensorBlock has been changed on Beta.
Use Detect SubGrids("OnOff_On") "On" to make this blueprint work.
Thanks.

Just to give you all a little heads up, I've been working on the next ship printer and boy is it going to leave this one in the dust.

While it only has the capibility to hold 6 different ship (4 less than this one), it has the following features.

- 100% automated (after inital setup of the projectors)
- no starter blocks required
- automatic grinding of the the build stem (you still have to remove 2 small conveyor tubes)
- 4.5x faster than this printer (in 10x settings) this was a challenge to pull off.

And to make the printer easier to build I've eliminated the need to use the Rotor Trick, and built the core as a small ship. It contains all the projectors, timer blocks, and programing block. This allows the new printer to be built quite easily.

Should have it ready in some time this weekend so stay tooned.
