I loved Krazjen's Historical Country Names. It was a fantastic addition to the game that changed absolutely nothing but names. But the Americas felt exotic, and the east of Europe was a foreign place from a long time ago that seemed steeped in history, rather than being painted in names and mistranslations that persisted through the ages by Anglo-conquerors who knew the pen was mightier. That is why I decided to go with the the core of Krazjen's work here, and I do mean his work I take no credit for this mod whatsoever, all credit to him. All I am doing is taking the mod where he left it off, using suggestions from his own comment section and revising a few changes where I see fit.

Fiorenza to Toscany(Due to Patch 1.13)

Byzantium is changed to Greek Empire to reflect how they were perceived during the time of the game rather than using the anachrostic term.
Mughals changed for Gurkaniyan, to Baburid Empire, making them similar but distinct from the Timurid Empire.
Lots of making sure adjectives lined up with new names.


Now for some words for anyone who cared to keep reading:

Muscovy and Moskovia are interchangeable, but Muscovy is more common so I'm using that.
Byzantium was a tough nut to crack, but after much deliberation I decided to give it the historical name of Greek Empire rather than Byzantium Empire.
Bohemia was a very diverse region with multiple rulers, that is why it is referred to as the Bohemian Crown.


A final word, if you have any suggestions for addition or revision be my guest. I may make this into two mods, Full Historical Country Names and Fun Historical Country names.
But we'll see how far this gets first.
