5 Basic Versus Tips
By swift
Hello guys, Ghost here with "5 Basic Versus Tips".
I've seen many new players playing on this competitive mode and failing at it, getting kicked, etc. Hopefully with this guide, they'll come in with 5 helpful things to give them a bit of a skill boost. Let's get in this, shall we?

5 Basic Versus Tips
1. No Shopping
Shopping - searching for items for a long period of time, or searching side rooms for items.
Please, do not shop...or at least not alone anyways. If you shop, this takes time away from your team and it gives the other side an advantage to get ready to spawn in and do great attacks. So please, just for your own sake and the team's don't shop.

2. Don't Rush Ahead
Stay with the team at all times. Even in a tank fight, without the team's permission, do NOT run off. Stick together and in the end, it will show some benefits.

3. As The Infected, Plan Out Attacks With Your Team
Don't attack alone. Never, ever do that. If you attack alone, it will mess up the spawn times, and it will be a waste to your team if you do so. If you just wait for your whole team to get back in, results will be pretty good.

4. If You See A Witch or A Car, Get To It!
Try to force a survivor near or into the witch, and try to force a survivor to hit a car. This will buy your team some time, or even wipe out the survivor side! This is VERY effective in close games.

5. Never Heal At Yellow Unless a Tank Spawns
Just ask your teammates for some pills or a shot. If you already have pills or a shot, just use them! Wasting a whole medkit just because you're at yellow makes no sense at all.
However, healing when a tank spawns is an exception because you'll gain your speed back and you'll be able to juke and kite the tank.

Tip 10, get into phone chat with your team. Communication is key and if none of you can speak to each other then you will get shredded by the other team

tip 6) make sure you're decent at campaign (not being carried by your team) before even looking at versus 7) dont be a dick and falsely votekick people just because they get really unlucky and only do 20 dmg for the whole round, seriously, i was kicked by a team i pity switched to because they were so bad, just for getting unlucky with a hunter pounce or boomer

Yeah sometimes it is better to not bother, it really depends on if you think your team will be able to follow up in time. But there are times where it's a viable thing to do, which is why making blanket statements about never doing a certain thing is over simplifying it and can actually be bad advice.

@Banshee
Your points seem valid. However, I disagree on the knocking down a survivor alone. Unless they're about to spawn in 5 seconds or less, you should just let them go, because attacking together will possibily get them all to yellow or red.
