(STS) NASA Space Shuttle Orbiter V 1.1

Description
This is a part of Struppey's and Tatz' Scenario(STS)
This ship is compatible with the External Tank, the left and right SRB and the Boeing 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft
You find the Orbiter Version 1.0 here
You find the Runway, as seen in the screenshots, here

The Planet-ready Orbiter V 2.0 is now available!

There it is! The all new NASA Space Shuttle Orbiter in its improved Version!
Over the last months we did not really build a lot of new stuff. Some Updates screwed our STS (especially the changes in the rotor and piston behavior) and some added new features (like oxygen). So we decided to change the weaks of our best ship and improved basically everything! Of course it is still at scale 1:1
We DID NOT include hydrogen yet as the tank and the conveyor system will need a lot more space and we need to redesign the vehicle for this.
So this ship IS NOT PLANET READY.
Nevertheless you can use Oxygen with this ship
Thanks for your support, we hope you will enjoy this!

Improvements:

- more agility due to more thrusters and more gyroscopes
- a fully functional oxygen system including tank and conveyors
- a better remote manipulator system which now includes pistons
- kind of an "air lock" (which is in fact a connector), so you can connect the Orbiter to other ships (or stations....) and exchange items or oxygen
- more cameras and lights
- the radio altimeter is now working properly

Bugs:

- due to some new physics in the game we had a lot of trouble regarding the landing gear, which sometimes just did not move at all. After some modification it should work now
- when flying at high speed and doing aggressive maneuvers it can be possible that the airbrake hits the vertical stabilizer and seperates. It is also possible that the RMS swings inside the payload bay and hits the walls or that the elevons seperate from the orbiter. Avoid major high-speed turns and fly gently!

Mods: - none - (business as usual)

Mass: 277 971 kg

The Orbiter V1.1 is not planet ready as it has only ion-thrusters.
The Link to the Hydrogen-Version of the vehicle can be found in the description above (Orbiter V2.0)

I cannot get it to lift off the pad, any tips on what I could be doing wrong here? Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks!

Thanks! Nice to hear that you like it!
It will be updated for Planets as well, so there will be a hydrogen version of the orbiter, soon!

Thank you very much for your feedback!
Be sure - hydrogen is coming as soon as we know more about planets! SRBs and ET will need some updates, too....

WOW! Strumpey and Tatz, this is fantastic! I love the level of detail and I can just see this taking days if not weeks to figure out and build. It would be crazy awesome to see a hydrogen thruster version of this to be ready for planets =D. Keep up the great work.
