Commanders Remastered

Description
Welcome to the redone version of my "Commanders in Action" mod.
This mod takes the Commanders from the game Total War Arena such as Scipio Africanus, Alexander the Great and Boudica and places those custom officers into the game, along with custom soldiers for them to command.

I did NOT make any of the models for these units, all credit for that goes to The Creative Assembly, and their games Total War: Arena and Total War: Attila.

It is highly recommended that you use the following mod as it allows you to zoom in and see the detail in the units. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=188195987

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Germanicus (15 BCE – 19 CE) was a Roman nobleman and general, driven by ambition. His cognomen “Germanicus” was awarded to him for his victories in Germania, which he invaded to avenge the Roman defeat at the Battle of Teutoburg Forest.
Germanicus has high defensive stats, and is fairly slow. It is recommended you use him to plug gaps in your wall, and slowly advance on the enemy, taking their ranged fire.

Julius Caesar (100-44 BCE) was probably the most famous Roman who ever lived. He is remembered for his military genius that led to the conquest of Gaul and his diplomatic manoeuvring that made him the most powerful man in the Roman Empire.
Caesar is intended to be used as highly mobile infantry, which you use to flank the enemy, dismount and then use as an infantry unit, albeit with less men than a standard unit.

Scipio Africanus (236-183 BCE) was one of Rome’s most accomplished generals. His cognomen “Africanus” comes from his military victory in Africa which won the Second Punic War.
Scipio is an extremely well rounded unit, capable of performing nearly any role, be it offensive or defensive.

Arminius (17 BCE – 21 CE) was a chieftain of the Germanic Cherusci who defeated three Roman legions in the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest in 9 AD. This defeat would later be avenged by Germanicus, nephew of Tiberius.
Arminius is similar to Scipio, as he is well rounded and is a jack of all trades.

Boudica (30 CE – 61 CE) was a queen of the British Iceni tribe who led an uprising against the occupying forces of the Roman Empire, which was crushed.
Boudica is mounted in a scythed chariot, with which she is devastaing as she disrupts an enemy's formation, and allows infantry to take advantage of the pandemonium she causes.

Vercingetorix (82 BCE – 46 BCE) was a chieftain of the Arverni tribe. He united the Gauls in a revolt against Roman forces during the last phase of Julius Caesar’s Gallic Wars. Caesar gained victory over the Gauls in the Battle of Alesia and Vercingetorix surrendered, he was later ritually strangled after a triumph.
Vercingetorix has an incredibly powerful charge and high damage output, but low defence and armour compared to other units. As such, do not allow him to be attacked by any ranged unit, and instead use him to break through enemy lines with a strong charge.

Alexander the Great (356 – 323 BCE), visionary leader, military genius, shrewd diplomat and possibly a madman. Alexander united Greece against its arch-enemy, the Persian Empire. Later he campaigned into India, farther than any Greek had ever gone.
Alexander has an extremely powerful charge, as befits super heavy shock cavalry, however he has very low melee defence and low dismounted stats.

King Leonidas of Sparta (540 - 480 BCE) famously led a small band of 300 Spartan warriors to defend the Thermopylae pass against an invading army of 80,000 Persians. A monument was erected on the pass, which reads: “Go tell the Spartans, passerby: That here, by Spartan law, we lie.”
Leonidas is the Greek's primary defensive unit, as he is equipped with pikes with which to hold the enemy back, and has high armour which allows him to shrug off missile fire. Leonidas is capable of taking the offensive with his sword however.

Militades (550 – 489 BCE) was a Greek general famous for his role at the Battle of Marathon. He had his men walk just into archer range, and then charge head-on into the Persian army. Taken off guard, the Persians were unprepared and out-flanked, and quickly defeated.
Militades is the Greek's primary offensive infantry unit, equipped with spears with which he can charge an enemy line and destory it.

Cynane (c. 357- 323 BCE) was an Illyrian/Macedonian warrior princess famed for her military knowledge and skill in hunting, riding, tracking, and swordfighting. She led her armies to many military victories, including the great defeat of the Illyrians and slaying of their Queen Caeria with her own hand.
As the only missile unit included, Cynane is unable to hold her own in hand to hand fighting, and instead excells at medium range with her bow.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Romans can recruit Germanicus, Scipio and Caesar from the Field of Mars, Manipular Barracks, Cohort Barracks and Legionary Barracks.

The Arverni, Iceni and Suebi can recruit Arminius, Boudica and Vercingetorix from the Artisan's Lodging, Bronze Furnace 2, 3 and 4.

The Athenians, Spartans and Macedonians can recruit Alexander, Cynane, Miltiades and Leonidas from the Muster Field, Holosideros Barracks, Hoplite Barracks, Royal Barracks and the Monument of Leonidas.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I did NOT make any of the models for these units, all credit for that goes to The Creative Assembly, and their games Total War: Arena and Total War: Attila.

This mod is compatible with probably any other mod at this stage, so long as those mods don't alter vanilla tables radically, such as deleting buildings or if the mod uses the same unit/building codes as me (which is unlikely)

Special thanks to Sebidee, Sir Eggmond, ToonTotalWar and champLoo for help in the previous versions of this mod.
Thanks to SEKTR for creating the 256x256 picture for this mod.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Changes from the previous mods include:
Boudica has a unit card
The Commander "Cynane" has been added to the Greeks
Models from Total War Attila are included
Units have customised stats, reflecting what I think the units should be able to do
The units are not generals in the campaign map

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In this mod all of the Commanders except Cynane and Boudica have custom stats, which I hope reflect how I believe they should be played, and to keep them balanced. Boudica and Cynane have had little intensive editting as I'm not sure what an archer and chariot unit should do, and they were well rounded anyway.
The way I have attempted to balance the units is by having all of the units have 350 "stat points", which I distributed amongst Melee Attack, Weapon Damage, Charge Bonus, Melee Defence, Armour and Health. All of the units have 95 morale, so they have very little chance of routing.

By distributing the "stat points" in this way, I hope the units are balanced amongst themselves, and slightly stronger than the strongest melee unit each faction can field, such as the Praetorian Guard which is made up of 333 "stat points".
