Global Memorial

Description
WOTC Version: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1216024324

Because we should always remember the fallen, even after the war.

Tracks soldier deaths across multiple playthrough, accessible through character pool from the main menu, or saving them into the character pool forever.

Note: You must load the latest save for each playthrough with this mod active to import existing soldier deaths, keeping the mod active allows you to keep tracks of further soldier deaths.

You may enable/disable this mod anytime, disabling the mod will not delete previously imported deaths. (Stored as XComMemorial.ini in your config folder in Documents, be careful when cleaning those files up)

Due to limitation in storage (Storing as ini means it is limited to text only), I am unable to store their photos (in game their photos are retaken when you visit the memorial), there's also no camera outside of the avenger (same problem as quick soldier info)

You also can't change epitaph outside of a game because I have no way to determine which data is newer when you load a game, if you change it in ini it will reset to the saved game's when you load the game that the soldier died in.

OK there's an issue with WOTC update changing some underlying code that makes me have to release a new version for it.

Same issue here. Causes crash, with no other mods in. I miss this one. It's time consuming to memorialize your dead manually LOL

Thanks man, I'm sure you've got enough on your plate at the moment :) Whenever you feel like taking a look at this is cool.

this mod uses a reference to a screen in screen listener and have a higher chance to cause crash, I can update it to not do that and reduce chance to crash

Hi -bg- I was having a CTD on returning to the Avenger which I've been able to fix by disabling this mod.

There was nothing obvious in launch.log, the last line before the "crash detected" entry was -
[0103.71] Log: Activated Avenger_Cap 1 1 1

The mission was one to rescue Mox after he was captured by the Chosen and one of my grenadiers died as ADVENT priests are little gits.

I tried clearing out the My Games directory but did not Verify Files. This mod worked fine for three campaigns in the base game.

Maybe it's a weird interaction with one of my other mods, I don't know.

Thanks for the update, it's great that the reminder of my terminal incompetence as a commander is back!

ok I just investigated and noticed that the new patch hides the whole navigation bar entirely now. Pushing a patch soon
