Seven Logic Gates (NOT, AND, NAND, OR, NOR, XOR, XNOR)

Description
Seven rooms, each with its own logic gate. The logic gates in rooms 4 and 5 are powered by lasers and laser relays, while the logic gates in rooms 6 and 7 are powered by force fields, weighted cubes, and pressure switches. This was inspired by the "redstone" computers in Minecraft.

Each room is marked by the number of lights in the ceiling (one light in Room 1, two lights in Room 2, etc.)

Room 1 has one button, which is the input. All other rooms have two buttons, which are the inputs. Set cubes on the buttons to turn the input on. The laser field in the back right corner of each room is the output.

Room 1 - NOT gate (inverter)
Room 2 - AND gate (0-0-0-1)
Room 3 - NAND gate (1-1-1-0)
Room 4 - OR gate (0-1-1-1)
Room 5 - NOR gate (1-0-0-0)
Room 6 (upstairs) - XOR gate (0-1-1-0)
Room 7 (upstairs) - XNOR gate (1-0-0-1)

These basic logic gates can be used as the foundation of a virtual computer.

Thank you for showing me how to do an OR gate in this game. I really wanted an option of "stand on this button"OR"Press this button to do X", without having to do both of them at once!
Portal 2 may be old, but damn it's still one of the best easy to make puzzle platforms that I know of.
I hope this community isn't fading away fully, becuase I have some great ideas I want to explore in this engine still. *shameless self promotion...* Check out my puzzles if you wish. I don't have many, I know, but the 2018 ones I have recently made are solid. Thanks! :p2turret:

Nice demo. It did one for logic gates myself. However the problem with these is to show how the elements of the more complex gates (XOR, XNOR, resetable hold) are connected. Let alone if you create a Rube Goldberg machine which makes use of logic gates. I created a map which has a separate maintenance room with all logic gates and I wish we could mark their relations in some way.

Brilliant! I had a eureka moment last night and built a NOR Gate, although I didn't realise it was called that until someone else showed me logic gates on Wikipedia. Didn't really get it until I played through this and watched your YouTube walkthrough. Very educational and beautifully put together.

By the way, you can check out my NOR Gate map in my Workshop items list. There's a puzzle on how to get out of the map, it's not just an experimental relay room.

Really nice demo map ^^ It looks like the optimised version of mine ;) As you sais in the video : better if we could just use lasers like we use redstone :p

IT ISN'T A PUZZLE!!!

I don't understand your logic gates...I mearly see a test chamber with aspects you can just walk around.

So far, the best example of a puzzle that uses logic gates and clock generators that I've seen is: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=72049220

I made one called "Remote Control" but I made it too hard and had to strip out most of my cool features to make it so people to pass it. It's in my collection if you wanna check it out.

Supreme Gamer, the purpose of this map is to show other map makers how to make logic gates using the new editor. It's just a demo map.
