Description
Important: Why is this mod not updated?

This mod was created when servants and bots where more supported. It is currently impossible for this code to work anymore. Once the devs allow for "servant" support, it will be operational once again.

You can enable peasants in settings (advanced) before you load/start world. Just make sure you have pre 5.0 version of the game activated via steam library --> Medieval Engineers --> Right click --> Options --> Betas --> "Choose pre-5.0 Beta"

Plans for future update:

I want this mod to work, and have many features. Specially with all of the stats we have in 6.0+ I'm excited to see what is possible. Sadly, at this point, it is impossible to update it :(

This mod adds a new companion to Medieval Engineers, the Hunting Dog. This dog brings some life into the empty world, aiding you on your adventures.

What does the Hunting Dog do?

Currently, the "Hunting Dog" will follow you around, wherever you go (unless you fast-travel). If you go too far away from it, it will bark once, notifying you you're going too fast. Once it gets into a close proximity, the dog will begin randomly roaming around you. Though it will never get too far away from you. If you stand right next to it, it will stop moving, and stand still.


(1/28/17) Update!

Added hitbox, so it can die if attacked, and will drop loot. I also added some additional commands:

- Stay: stands still.

- Roam: it walks around, but always follows you if you get too far, and stands still when you get close.

- Follow: will follow you more closely and will stand still when close.

Planned Features:

- Hunger, you will have to feed your dog food

- Move Commands

- Attack Commands

- Alert feature, dog will bark twice to let you know an enemy is nearby.

- Beast of Burden, the dog will have a small pouch to carry lightwieght things for you.

- Add Icons to the new commands.

This mod tends to have an issue, where it crashes the game occasionally. If you could tell me if you're experiencing the crash, then we know it's the mod and not my game. If it is the mod, then I'll work very hard to find the bug causing the issue. In the worst case scenario, this is a issue with AiBehavior.SBC. In order to make this mod, I had to use vanilla Peasant Behaviors. So it may be up to KeenSWH to fix this issue with bots. But, again, it may just be me or the mod.

The code to make this mod works is no longer recognized by the base game. It can't work on the present version sadly
Yeah, the game no longer gets official updates anymore so any mods updated these days should stay functional potentially indefinitely.

It is forever broken, but you can go back to the update prior to 5.0 and it will work

The game does not support this type of code anymore. One day I hope to update it :(
