The code to make this mod works is no longer recognized by the base game. It can't work on the present version sadly
Yeah, the game no longer gets official updates anymore so any mods updated these days should stay functional potentially indefinitely.

It is forever broken, but you can go back to the update prior to 5.0 and it will work

Hey Coggernaut. Check out my new "Cows" mod. I discovered that there are definitely still ways in 6.4 to have an animal follow you. But it involves big tradeoffs with the other movements it can do. And they can't be commanded like a servant bot (as far as I can tell). For my cow, I decided to turn off following, so that instead it could act a lot more natural in the wild. But one could do the reverse and have it follow you wherever you go. I have saved that "follow" SBC in the data files, it can be swapped in to see how it works. (Gets glitchy and weird when it gets close.)

I dont believe it's possible to update and have it work. Bots really arnt supported anymore. If they ever add in servants again, I'll be able to update it

You can enable peasants in settings (advanced) before you load/start world. Just make sure you have pre 5.0 version of the game activated via steam library --> Medieval Engineers --> Right click --> Options --> Betas --> "Choose pre-5.0 Beta"

Well, this mod is on the back burner while I fix up the Realm of Mistvalin mod. We recently got the server running with that total conversion mod. You should check it out, it's a small scale MMORPG for M.E. :D

Ah well, the game is boring and limited, much worse than Space Engineers. Now that I tried it, I know the company isn't actually doing much to make their games good. Just kinda copy pasting code between the two slowly little by little to make people think they are doing a lot but they aren't. :P

Game says something about an error like the mod tried to access the "debug screen" or something. Got a headache right now or I'd be more precise. It also shows up yellow saying it may not be compatible, in the mod list.

I deffinitly tried doing that, having "Feral Dogs" which are wild wolves that spawn in the game naturally, and if you find one, you can attempt to tame it, but going near it. (using command code).

I'm still doing a lot of experimentation to see if this is somewhat possible. It'll be quite easy to tame, just 1 tap of the ability "tame". Though if it works, we're golden for searching/hunting for animals. The only thing I fear, is

A) it's not possible and the game crashes in the process of trying to make this work.

B) You'll be able to tame as many animals without a limit.

Both are legitament concerns I will try to adress, but at a later time :)

This update is good but heres and idea its kinda hard to explain but can you try to make it where in survival you have to craft the dog. Like theres a special crafting table that you can make the dog from?

Update!

Added hitbox, so it can die if attacked, and will drop loot. I also added some additional commands:

- Stay: stands still.

- Roam: walks around, but always follows you if you get too far, and stands still when you get close.

- Follow: will follow you more closely and will stand still when close.


To do: Add Icons to the new commands.
