Description
I shouldn't have to say this, but...
PLEASE READ THE 'REQUIRED ITEMS' SECTION OF THIS PAGE.
It's located on the righthand side of the screen, and has been for years.
You must subscribe to all of the items in this list if you want the textures to work correctly.

Edit 9/26/2020: This was released well before the Last Stand update came out, and some parts of this mod's features no longer apply.

Features:
World model now has an ejecting magazine. It doesn't look pretty, but I can't modify the world model animations without causing consistency problems with online servers, or otherwise causing player skins to not work.
Magazine is fully meshed and textured. Using a little Paint.NET magic, the magazine now looks how it was supposed to in the first damn place. No longer applicable, magazine texture has been fixed as of the Last Stand update.
Animations have been re-done entirely, as the original animations were not going to fly by my standard of quality.
60 FPS animations, simply because they look better.
Animations are a little more consistent than they are by default. By this I mean the reload animation is not actually 100 frames but played at 42 frames per second, but is 150 frames and played at 60 frames per second. The length is, of course, the same internally, putting you at no technical advantage/disadvantage.
Moved the flashlight, it didn't look very comfortable there.
Zip ties are actually textured now.
Textures were recycled where possible, to prevent having to modify the existing textures which means that for the most part, this one is skin compatible.
Much like the last overhaul submission, it has 60 or so animation blends for the aiming layer, to make it extra smooth. However, unlike the previous overhaul, I've toned down how drastic the aiming is.
Proper flashlight added with a completely new texture. Sorry if my texturing skills aren't up to par with the pros. A wire and pressure switch are also both included.
Mesh is now consistent between third and first person models. HOWEVER, the world model was intentionally scaled down a bit to fit the hands properly. Had I noticed sooner, I would have shrunken the entire weapon and not had to have a smaller world model, but I've already gone too far with these weapons to turn back now.
No modifications to the stock texture this time. I want to keep skin compatibility, as it was complained about in the previous overhaul. HOWEVER, keep in mind that the magazine (and bullets) will NOT change texture because I actually needed to re-do their UV maps and edit their textures. As of the Last Stand, this no longer applies. This is now fully skin compatible!
And more! ...Probably. I honestly don't remember every detail.

Much like the last overhaul, this does not REPLACE the weapon with a different weapon entirely. It's a modification of the existing model, improving upon Valve's work while attempting to remain true to the game's style.
The source files for this will be available once I finish and have all the other weapons uploaded. It could be a while, because I don't have the time to just work on these all day anymore like I used to.

I spent a lot more time making sure this one worked out of the box, but if you do happen to come across an issue, please don't hesitate to inform me.

Anyways, that stuff aside, there is one bug I saw which is very unoticeable unless you have a bigger muzzle flash mod, but is still noticeable without it,
The third person muzzle flash actually is turn about 90 degrees to the left.

This is hands-down the best animated AK I've ever seen, seriously it is spectacular.
That aside, I'm fine with the cookie-cutter animations since most of them don't really need to change and work for any weapon, (shove, draw, etc.) but the only one that does not sit well with me is the idle animation, it makes me feel like a robot, I don't know, something about it is just wrong.

Well, you did it. You made me swap out Millenia's AK w/ HyperMetals anims.

It's been years. But it's finally happened.

someone made a version of this mod where the AK had black furniture and replaced the m16, but i can't find it anymore. do you know what mod that is?

I like it. Could you make a version with 7.62mm Rounds and magazines? Cause that's the 5.45mm.
