Hi all.

Have you ever had a cart break down in the wild in Survival? If so, you know what a pain it is to fix it again without using Creative tricks.

Now, at last, a tool that can help. This mod brings you a Lever-Jack, which can be used to lift carts & other dynamic things off the ground, so you can repair broken wheels, etc.

It's a very simple tool that's made from the stump of a tree and a long rod as the lever. It uses the game's Subpart & Animation systems, so it is very consistent & behaves well. Just place the stump in the ground next to the thing you want to lift. The rod will appear automatically after the stump is placed. Then highlight the stump and press the F key, and the rod will lift up the object high enough that you can do repair work on it.

Here's a link to a brief video of the jack in action: https://twitter.com/STORI3D_PAST/status/816674822918991872

And another link showing the new basket/stone: https://twitter.com/STORI3D_PAST/status/851147763056349184

This tool only requires 1 log and 1 piece of foraged flax straw. You craft it using your own personal inventory, so you don't even need to build a crafting table.

I hope this jack makes your Survival experiences more fun. Let me know what else you are looking for in your builds!

*** KNOWN ISSUE: There is a Keen bug with Animated objects. If you pick this up manually, you won't be able to drop it again! The fix is to rotate and turn the jack in the air using the Q, E, R, and Y keys until it becomes highlighted. Then just hold the F key until it disappears back into your inventory. ***

Does this still work properly?

Hi all, thanks for the continued interest. Yeah at the moment everything is in doubt. M.E. 0.7 doesn't run well on my computer. It's a threading issue that happens with some machines. The devs knew about it but had no time to fix it before they were laid off or absorbed back into S.E. That, plus the fact that the game does appear very dead, is keeping me from doing any more serious work on it. I still check in pretty frequently to see if there is any life. And I still cross my fingers. Even now there's still nothing on the market that can do what M.E. was trying to do. But with player count often less than 100 (and many of those just server machines & not actual players), I can't see any business reason for them to put any more money or time into it.

Doubt it now, the game has been completely abandoned. No point in modding it anymore.

I'll keep up the encouragement, this would be so useful and also much more immersive.

Am to look forward to an update to this. It would be useful as carts seem to loose wheels allot.

Hi Teddybear. Wow. With all the changes in vanilla, I was sure that nobody ever used this one anymore! It's so trivial now to drag things around and put blocks under blocks. Always made me sad how easy they made that in vanilla. Well, now that I know this one is missed, I'll try to add it to the list. Thanks for the note!
