Does this still work properly?
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 19 Sep, 2019 @ 7:38am
Hi all, thanks for the continued interest. Yeah at the moment everything is in doubt. M.E. 0.7 doesn't run well on my computer. It's a threading issue that happens with some machines. The devs knew about it but had no time to fix it before they were laid off or absorbed back into S.E. That, plus the fact that the game does appear very dead, is keeping me from doing any more serious work on it. I still check in pretty frequently to see if there is any life. And I still cross my fingers. Even now there's still nothing on the market that can do what M.E. was trying to do. But with player count often less than 100 (and many of those just server machines & not actual players), I can't see any business reason for them to put any more money or time into it.

Doubt it now, the game has been completely abandoned. No point in modding it anymore.
Allarionn 16 Sep, 2019 @ 9:01am
I'll keep up the encouragement, this would be so useful and also much more immersive.
MX Duke 7 Jun, 2019 @ 10:39pm
Am to look forward to an update to this. It would be useful as carts seem to loose wheels allot.
TheWhiteRaven 7 Mar, 2019 @ 4:05pm
yes please fix i love this mod makes fixing wheels so much faster and since catch blocks explode every other day having a jack around would be nice
Teddybear72N 7 Mar, 2019 @ 12:06pm
Nice .-)
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 7 Mar, 2019 @ 8:01am
Hi Teddybear. Wow. With all the changes in vanilla, I was sure that nobody ever used this one anymore! It's so trivial now to drag things around and put blocks under blocks. Always made me sad how easy they made that in vanilla. Well, now that I know this one is missed, I'll try to add it to the list. Thanks for the note!
Teddybear72N 7 Mar, 2019 @ 7:07am
Miss thisone .-) please .-)

Are you going yo update this mods for the 0.7 update?
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 5 Jan, 2018 @ 8:23am
Hey Dieselholic. I think in theory that's a really neat idea -- it does make sense to have an actual large stone if you're going to "see" a large stone being used. I'll look into it.
Dieselholic 2 Jan, 2018 @ 5:22pm
i see that visually there is a stone in the basket. i think it should have a requirment for 1 stone to build. i personally would go as far as to require your person to have a stone in thier inventory in order to use it but perhaps thats to complicated and im sure many wouldnt like that. Maybe thats not even possible within the mod.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 24 Oct, 2017 @ 5:10am
I agree, and the same is true really with any part that has movable "subparts" in it. When we try to place them, it would be nice if the subparts were visible too so placement would be much clearer. In the meantime I'll try to see if there's a simple way to note this in the game, beyond the picture that I have up above.
Tourist McGee 24 Oct, 2017 @ 4:08am
very handy mod, however, it really needs, imo, a clear indication of which side will have the low end of the rod.

To add the mod to your world? In the main screen click "Edit Settings." Then in the next window click the button that says something like "Edit Mods". That takes you to the Mod window. On the left are all the mods you subscribe to. Click the ones you want and move them to the right side. That's it!
Diesel3879 30 Sep, 2017 @ 7:16pm
where do you click to download the lever jack?
Valdaenor 13 Sep, 2017 @ 6:18pm
No problem, would hate to send you on a wild goose hunt simply because I couldn't be bothered to let you know I already (sort of) solved the problem ;-) But yes, I'll probably drop Keen a line later about this. But for now I'll be heading to bed and hopefully dream up some new grand designs :-)
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 13 Sep, 2017 @ 6:12pm
Hey Valdaenor -- thanks much for writing back. I got your first note and was getting ready to look into what was happening. I think it's a good idea to let Keen know. That could be a pretty annoying bug!
Valdaenor 13 Sep, 2017 @ 6:04pm
Thought you should know: you can disregard my earlier message. It seems the problem doesn't lie with your mod. I did a complete whipe & reinstall of the game. This mod as well as another mod I had the same issue with now works like a charm. However, this time around 2 other mods ended up getting flagged by the game as being incompatible and wouldn't load properly no matter what I did. After another whipe/reinstall this happens again to yet another seemingly random mod, while all earlier 'incompatible' mods work just fine now. Seems something doesn't quite work right in Keen's mod compatibility detection programming... Anyways, thought I'd give you a heads up that it's not necessary to look into this any further on your end. I might open a ticket with Keen to see if they can maybe straighten this out... Cheers o/
Valdaenor 13 Sep, 2017 @ 9:24am
Is shown as not compatible with the current game version. Also doesn't appear in my crafting menu when loading up the game with this mod...
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 15 Aug, 2017 @ 11:49am
LOL thanks for the note SovietKnight -- you're way too kind! But I'm glad it's helped out, I HATED breaking carts and having nothing I could do with them.
Kharak 15 Aug, 2017 @ 11:42am
Fuck yes, you don't know how many time I tried to place that goddamn broken wheel that disappeared after hitting a fucking tree too fast...

You save my life, sir, I owe you my respect.
HyratelWyvern 20 May, 2017 @ 2:43pm
it seems to invoke just by having the mod added to the world, without it being crafted - when i place something that i have in inventory, it is not consumed from inventory.
other mods loaded -
1 iron ore to 1 iron ingot
Flicker be gone
Rotor Block for Survival
Storage Crates And more
Redesigned Stone Building materials (new since tested)
Cabbage and flax recipe reduction mod (new since tested)
Moon full motion and phases (new since tested)
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 20 May, 2017 @ 5:58am
Hey HyratelWyvern. Thanks for this. I have heard rumblings that right now there is a vanilla game bug with inventory, and I'm wondering if that's what you're running into? Can you tell me step-by-step how to reproduce what happened to you? I'll try it on my system and see if it's the Jack doing it.
HyratelWyvern 19 May, 2017 @ 10:57am
this invokes a Really Weird Bug, where inventory contents do not get consumed on placement in-world
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 27 Mar, 2017 @ 7:49am
Thanks a lot _blop_! And thanks also Legiaseth. That idea might work. I'll have to see what makes the most sense to make it as clear as possible without looking weird.
_blop_ 27 Mar, 2017 @ 1:41am
THE required mod to use ME carts.
Legiaseth 24 Mar, 2017 @ 3:59pm
maybe you could update the model so the base stump has a small part pointing to whare the lever will be so we can see how to place it beforehand idk
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 9 Mar, 2017 @ 5:39pm
Yah I really wish the moving subparts would show up while you're trying to place these kinds of things! It would take away those nasty surprises
-A- Jan Gaarni 9 Mar, 2017 @ 7:26am
I placed it with the stick pointing the wrong way around and half the cart exploded. :p

Otherwise, nice mod. Didn't do that mistake again. :D
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 22 Feb, 2017 @ 6:39am
Lol you're welcome joemel4ever, and thank you! Yeah, it's so nice not to fear the flipped cart anymore.
Proscrito 21 Feb, 2017 @ 6:28pm
Now to go find the 100,000 carts i've flipped over...cool mod very helpfull. thanks :)
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 30 Jan, 2017 @ 6:38am
Thanks a lot, I appreciate that! Glad you like it.

Just don't forget you are the artist though and give yourself the credit too :)

Thank you for your hard work
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 10 Jan, 2017 @ 6:08pm
Thank you very much @Lvcian! I like your idea a lot. I've been thinking about what we have available to work with in-game that might make a suspension/spring system work. I'm not sure I've got any useful thoughts yet, but it's a good idea if it can be done!
Lvcian 10 Jan, 2017 @ 11:47am
Mod of the Year...hands down

How about a challenge for you to make iron suspension bars for our carts to have some 'give' as they move and not break as easily (like the wheels in Space Engineers)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carriage

There is mention that Roman Chariot's and Carriages had suspension systems made of chain or leather and that sure does seem to be the correct 'era' Medieval Engineers is placed around

Just a thought / idea I wanted to toss your way since I really like this mod :)
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 7 Jan, 2017 @ 6:02am
Hey YCDW, you're very welcome! I love doing these, it's fun trying to see just what the game can do.

Thank you MorshuArts! You and me both. I have broken (and abandoned) way too many carts in my day.
MorshuArtsInc 6 Jan, 2017 @ 8:06am
Oh, be praised for this mod! You can't imagine how much I needed this!
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 6 Jan, 2017 @ 7:28am
Thanks much CESky. I'm glad to be learning this stuff, it's helping make my game worlds better & more fun. I'm thrilled that ME'ers are enjoying it too!

STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 5 Jan, 2017 @ 7:14pm
Hey @Abradolf & @11Gardonian11, thanks much for the notes (and the gold piles Abradolf :). I appreciate it! Happy engineering, and woot to no more getting stuck with a broken-down cart or sled.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 5 Jan, 2017 @ 7:08pm
Haha @DiegoKevin. Hint? I didn't see a hint. Totally didn't read that. :) Man... Ladders. That -would- be sweet... Thanks much also for the note, I'm glad you like this one
DiegoKevin 5 Jan, 2017 @ 3:44pm
this is incredibly useful, I would say you cannot beat the usefullness of this... but you will probably come to us next thing saying that you have modded ladders and maching floor-door/hatches.

totally not a hint or a sugestion

right?
11Gardonian11 5 Jan, 2017 @ 12:03pm
This is absolutely amazing. It's a perfect example for Keen to learn from! We need useful things for our engineering! (moding this game is hard, Bravo STORI3D PAST Productions!) -10/10
