Description
The armed forces of the New California Republic from the Fallout games.


NCR General:
The general is the commanding officer of the New California Republic Army. He's lightly armored but a skilled combatant, especially with handguns.

NCR Trooper:
Troopers are the main foot soldiers who have either volunteered or have been conscripted to serve in the NCR military as the hammer of the Republic.

NCR Recon:
Recon soldiers are one of the NCR's best reconnaissance units, taking part in special missions, usually behind enemy lines. They have the Sharpshooter Perk and will get a 25% aiming range bonus when equipped with a long range rifle from any fallout faction and crouching or in prone position.

NCR Heavy:
NCR heavy troopers are special shocktrooper units. They wear power armor stripped from their joint servos, allowing them to use the armor without special training but making the armor really cumbersome.

NCR Ranger:
Rangers are an elite sect of New California Republic soldiers renowned for their survival and combat prowess. They have the Gunslinger Perk.


Combat Knife:
A large knife designed for both combat and survival purposes. It has a long, clip-point blade with serrations along the back intended for cutting rope and small branches.

9mm Pistol:
This 9mm pistol is a semi-automatic handgun, designed by M&A Guns Manufacturers. It's the standard issue sidearm of the New California Republic Army.

44 Magnum Revolver:
This handgun is a powerful double action, swing-out cylinder revolver. Since it lacks a modern ammo feeding mechanism, bullets need to be put one by one.

20g Caravan Shotgun:
The caravan shotgun is a short scattergun in which one barrel is mounted on top of the other. It's not as effective as other shotguns but it can still be deadly in capable hands.

556mm Service Rifle:
The Service Rifle is a semi-automatic firearm, effective from short to medium range. It's the signature rifle of the NCR troopers.

5mm Assault Carbine:
The assault carbine is a magazine-fed, compact automatic weapon with a high rate of fire and a comparatively low spread.

308 Hunting Rifle:
A bolt-action hunting rifle chambered to use .308 ammunition. This scoped rifle deals more damage and it's more reliable than other hunting rifles.

Light Machine Gun:
This is a fully automatic machine gun with a rapid rate of fire and an ammunition capacity of 90 5.56mm rounds. The light machine gun is only issued to the NCR heavy troopers, the finest NCR shocktroopers.

Grenade Rifle:
Single-shot break-action grenade launcher with a decent range and firepower. It fires impact grenades.

Frag Grenade:
Basic anti-personnel grenade with timer and decent blast radius.

Frag Mine:
An old anti-personnel mine that detonates when something triggers its proximity sensor. It doesn't always work but when it does, it will either cripple or kill the target.

i like this mod but all the weapons do so little damage and the health is so low I rarely use it since every default faction can wipe the floor with these guys. Could you give them a buff?

Hmm... now that I know how to make units play a sound when selected or ordered via pie menu, maybe I should take lines from the games for them to speak. I'm updating all of my fallout factions now so I might as well.

Sure. I'm actually in the process of updating all my mods so they use a framework that will make further updates or new factions a lot easier for me. Part of the new framework is a file shared by all of my factions called Ammo.ini that contains base rounds used by almost all weapons. The new one uses different stats, which are generally stronger than the previous ones.

Chiko, your mods are fantastic. But i feel that assault rifles from your Fallout mods are feeling a bit weak. Can you bump them a bit, so they can compete with vanilla weapons?

Fantastic mod, though some of the weapons seem a little underpowered (namely the .308 rifle) and I think a few key weapons are missing (minigun, anti-material rifle, ranger seqouia). Also, I think a vertibird would work great as a dropship. .357 cowboy repeater rifles are also completely missing, along with brush guns. Otherwise, this is a extraordinary mod that fits the theme of the faction perfectly.
