Class Introduction
Say hello to my third class that i worked on for about 2 full weeks, she is the Seer.

So far i have made a tank (The Revenant), a dps (The Prodigy) and it was only fitting to make a much needed healer/support class. Most people drag healers around because they are nice to have for survival and in most cases they aren't that fun, the biggest challange making this class was making a support/healer that is still quite fun to use. So i had to think hard how to make a class that will feel satisfying to use and still have the uniqueness that isn't too complex, i also wanted her to be a different and a unique class so i made a mixed class, a mixture of a dark moon priest / spiritualist that can talk to the dead and control her own spirit/soul. This class also has no restrictions and can travel with any other class.

The Revenant is the hybrid "jack of all trades" but still having his own blood thing going on.
The Prodigy is all about movement and positioning, executing enemies from specific locations.
The Seer however cannot crit but instead she multi casts spells that are strong and cause horror.

You shouldn't worry though, with every spell that she casts she has a chance to also cure the horror, so the more she casts. Balancing this character was not easy, but she should be in a good spot, i will be tuning the numbers as time goes on, so feel free to give some feedback on how the class performs.

Combat Skills

Touch of Death: Attack position: 3,4 / Targets 2,3,4 / Effect: dmg , amped by status effects.
Hypnosis: A. position: 3,4 / Targets 3,4 / Effect: dmg, pulls 1,2 or 3 spots, can also stun enemy.
Celestial Renewal: A. Position: 3,4 / Targets 1 ALLY / Effect: Heals, can heal ×2 ×3.
Tranquility: A. Position: 3,4 / Targets: ALL ALLIES / Effect: - stress, can reduce ×2.
Rejuvenating Surge: A. Position: 3,4 / Targets: ALL ALLIES / Effect: Heals, can h. ×2 ×3.
Spectral Blast: A. position: 3,4 / Targets 2+3 / Effect: dmg, reduces ACC (can spread).
Ethereal Blessing: A. Position: 3,4 / Targets: 1 ALLY (NOT SELF) / Effect: +dmg, can proc ×2.

Hypnosis, Cel. Renewal, Rej. Surge and Spec. Blast can cause horror on the seer.
Touch of Death, Tranquility and Ethereal Blessing can cure horror and restore some stress.

The idea behind Touch of Death is to give players more control over damage, instead of just a regular critical strike chance you can increase her damage reliably by stacking status effects, for each status effect this ability does more and more damage. If your enemy has all 3 effects that are allowed (Bleed, Stun, Blight), they will take a lot of damage.

Camping Skills
Eclipse: Heals all to max hp, reduces torch, causes stress and removes mortality debuffs.
Clairvoyance: Reduces ambush chance, increases scouting, causes some stress.
Forgotten Heritage: Gives random heirloom(s).
Spectral Shroud: Increases resistances (Bleed,Debuff,Blight,Desease) and protection by 15%.

If you find any bugs/glitches or spelling errors please let me know in the comment section below or just add me to your friends list, i do not bite and i will try to address the issues as soon as possible. All the positive feedback is really encouraging however my motivation has slightly dropped and i need a small break before i make another class. I will take some time off and see what the DLC will have to offer on the 19th then i will see what i will do from there. This is yet another complete class pack, with upgrade sprites, sound effects trinkets etc.

Here are my other classes if you want to try them out:

Known Issues:
Currently there is an issue with the stun chances on healing spells not being displayed properly, for some reason the game does not display the stun chances that are past 99% for spells that heal/target allies. If you need to see the chances you can look up Spectral Blast for reference, that works fine.

@besbin: That's fair, it's a different type of character, I might make some changes in the future, I reduced the self horror amount by a bit..

Been having a lot of fun using a lot of mod characters for the first time but really can't get to grips with this one. Because of the skill type lockout design I am often forced to either cast a not required heal on someone, inducing horror on self for no reason and stopping me doing something relevant that turn (like attacking). Stress builds up incredibly quickly too.
Appreciate all your hard work but gonna delete this one for the moment.

@Kilin: I have increased all stress clear chances by 10% for now, this should make the stress clearing be more frequent and help a bit, I might make more changes in the near future. Thank you for the feedback!

As a suggestion maybe make the horror only apply when something procs. Having to pay a tax on powerful abilities only makes sense if they are actually powerful. This would reduce the overall amount of stress gained. As it is right now I've literally had runs where he hit max stress after 2 battles. It just takes a stress enemy hitting him a few times (enemies are programmed to attack high stress targets like this guy). A good example of a class that uses horror to balance it's power would be the lamia and it has 80%+ chance to get rid of it's own horror. Even that class is hard to sustain and the seer has half that chance with arguably less power.

This is a game where the most powerful thing you have is reliability. This is a class that is completely dependent on rng and the numbers aren't in your favor. Every action you take massively increases your stress. Using your stress reducing moves is a dice roll and the chance actually reduces as you level up. Yes the chance to get rid of horror increases but only from like 40-50% as you level. It's a coin flip as to whether you can keep using skills. It's frequently the best action to just move instead of doing anything at all. The only way to build this class that might make it usable is to build pure stress reductions and virtue increases and hope you get virtues instead of afflictions. The worst thing about this class is that you pay the stress costs even if you don't proc anything. This class is actually slightly under vanilla class power if nothing procs and you still get punished for it and that just feels really bad.

@Riot: Strange... :/
Riot 23 Jun, 2024 @ 2:52pm
After installing the mod all the heroes would get the "mundane" negative quirk after a run despite stress levels. Disables the mod and the quirk went away for everyone. Could be a mod conflict but idk. She also didnt show up for 2 weeks but thats prolly bad luck on my part

Has she a canon name?

So I can't believe I gone these many years without using this class. This solves my healer dilemma of replacing someone who was very unfun in my roster with this beautiful creature.

@ajjll: Thanks for the feedback, yeah I have had a few people tell me now that death's touch is strong, however it cannot crit, I will nerf the damage modifiers a bit. Glad you like her, I just increased her size to fit better into the game, so yeah, expect an update. ^^
