Ferrets in Rimworld!
Inspired by Aavak's cuties :D
Click the YouTube link to go to his channel!

This is my first rimworld mod, and it's currently super beta. If you find any bugs, incompatable mods, the ferrets being impossible to get, etc etc, LET ME KNOW! I'll try to fix it ASAP!

A DOG SAID COMPAT PATCH:

An ADS compatability patch can be found here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=938886248

--FERRET STATS--
1. Ferrets that have been living on the rim have adapted to be comfortable in tempratures down to -508 degrees F! For refrence, and Arctic Fox I have on my main colony has a comfortable temp range of -58 degrees F. They're just that furry, and adorable. It's mostly the adorableness. Definently.
2. Ferrets have less bits than most animals, so don't give as much meat, or leather.
3. Ferrets have a DPS of 1.72 (2.25 * 62% / 0.81). For refrence, the same Arctic Fox has a DPS of 2.72 (7.36 * 62% / 1.81)
4. Ferrets are carnivores, so as such, make sure you have plenty of meat to go around!

New Ferret Textures supplied by those who work on the Animal Collab Project :) Check them out ^-^

Hmm.. I thought I fixed it :/ I'll have to look around some more. For now, consider the ferrets bugged :( I honestly don't have a ton of time right now to look around to try and figure out why their hunger drains so fast :(

In other news, I got a job \o/ sadly, that doesn't leave much time to do much of anything other than work and family. For now, consider the project on hold until I can secure more time :/ Been really busy the last couple weeks.

Sorry, again...

I think ferrets still have their food bar drained too fast. Compared to a bunny they lose food bar about twice the rate. If they are going to eat that much can you at least let them haul things? Ive seen my ferrets drag all sorts of stuff around lol

I had the same name on mine :(. I couldnt bare to kill mine so i had to use the dev tool to release it back to world. was still heartbreaking though. Also, if riding tamed animals becomes a thing in the future then we need mega-versions of ferrets so dreams can come true.

After looking around for a while, I think I *might* have fixed it. Pushing an update that has that fix, as well as one to make the ferrets a bit larger.

@Augger
Humm... I was noticing this myself after playing for a while... Even with loads of food they were constantly hungry. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if it's a vanilla rimworld thing. Either way, I'll look around and try to fix it. Thanks for confirming it wasn't just me having this issue!
I'll look into it tomorrow, as it's getting late where I live. Again, thank you!

My ferrets are normal for a few days (eating) and then suddenly go into a starvation/malnutrition spiral where no matter how much they eat and are being fed, their food/hunger bar is in a constant decrease mode and never stops. This has happened on two play-throughs for me. And I love ferrets.
