[description]

=> this mod is part of my compilation (all together making a small tweaked vanilla TWW experience)

=> This is a STARTPOS mod changing the player's objectives from 60 settlements to occupy or raze to 140 !!!!!

=> this change is for HEAD to HEAD (= versus) multiplayer campaigns !!!!! (not DLC campaigns)

EXPLANATION:

- the default limit of 60 settlements is really short for players who want to divide the whole world in 2 huge empires andthen fighting each other !

- it is also a limit for full roleplaying campaigns and sandbox games ! this mod fixes that !


[how is it done]

=> to do this change, you must go to:

CAMPAIGN_STARTPOS
CAMPAIGN_PREOPEN_MAP_INFO
VICTORY_MISSIONS_OPTIONS
VICTORY_MISSIONS_OPTIONS - 0

(note that the previous line is the playable faction for who you change the objective)

VICTORY_MISSIONS_BY_TYPE_BLOCK - 1
VICTORY_MISSIONS_BLOCK - 0
CAMPAIGN_MISSION_DEFINITION
CAMPAIGN_MISSION_OBJECTIVES_AND_PAYLOAD
OBJECTIVS
OBJECTIVS - 0
CAMPAIGN_MISSION_OBJECTIVE
CAMPAIGN_MISSION_OBJECTIVE_IMPL_RAZE_OR_OWN_X_SETTLEMENTS

=> and change the value from 60 to 140

=> if you want to do same for all playable factions (as the guide was written, there is currently 15 playables factions), you need to follow same path to other VICTORY_MISSIONS_OPTIONS - "X" , in other words, you need to do it 15 times

=> you MUST also do it in:
CAMPAIGN_STARTPOS
COMPRESSED_DATA
CAMPAIGN_PREOPEN_MAP_INFO
...

=> and same 15 paths... so for 15 factions you need to do it 30 times this change !

INFO: the line VICTORY_MISSIONS_BY_TYPE_BLOCK - 0 is for singleplayer campaign objectives, and VICTORY_MISSIONS_BY_TYPE_BLOCK - 2 is for co-op MP campaigns



[compatibilities]

=> The mod is NOT compatible with ANY STARTPOS MOD (including unlockers and other...)

=> Fully playable in SP and MP (if other MP players got same mods of course)

=> I MOVED ON TWW II, ITS A POSSIBILITY THAT I NO LONGER UPDATE MY MODS ON TWW I

NOTE: this mod will be up to date for only OFFICIALLY unlocked factions !



[use]

=> You should be able to safely add or delete this mod with ongoing campaigns but changes should happen only on new ones !

NOTE: "warad" means WARriors of ADrien (me), its a real long story, some know, some dont, some will...

- i like simple mods (no scripts, no startpos for example), exept if it REALLY needs like in this case
- i like the original game, just with minor tweaks to allow a richer gameplay in every ways for everyone
- i play only with roleplay in SP and MP (campaigns and battles), and i never get tired of this !

i have it in mind yes, it seems that CA only have chosen for mp versus "own or raze 100 regions..."

i think i will do it today but first i have to do some things, but the mod will be done today

the bad thing is that we will get real much factions in the weeks and months incoming, so i will have to update it real much (but thats my only heavy mod)

so you can expect the mod to be done before this evening (currently 10 AM in france) ;)

Do you think you could make one for WH2 mortal empires? I'd love to play a never ending campaign with my friends!

so... if you really want it for you and your mate, try to mod it yourself with the help of my "how to do" and other tutorials on "total war center forum" and other (as i started with)

modding always starts with a first try, then you will try other things and finally shape the game to your (and your friends) liking and believe me... total war from empire to warhammer are far easier to mod with the previously named tools ;)

its tedious the first time, but still well organized :) learn to make your fun and you will be even more happy of your own created fun !

im really not interested in doing it myself, its really not hard to do it when you got the pack file manager (or esf editor, both are modder's tools)

the only bad thing with startpos editing is that its a bit long to do, this particular change needs around 30min or 1h when you take your time

making a coop version means i will have to update it at EACH patch, and it will be already long to update this one + some of my other mods :(

and i will have to redo most of my mods for warhammer 2 (when the full campaign will come out)

Ah, thanks - but I REALLY suck at doing things like this :P .I know you might be busy, but any chance you could make a mod like this at some point (you clearly know what you are doing)?

yes look into "[how is it done]" area, all was already explained :O

(look at my "NOTE" you have to do all i explained but in a different block corresponding to coop campaigns)
