Author's Notes: I am very glad to welcome you to version 2.0! Inspired by the Last Stand Update, I have reworked the entire add-on from the ground up for maximum compatibility and especially overall improvement of sound quality. Enjoy, and be sure to leave your feedback!

  • Compatibility with the Last Stand Update
  • The M60 has been ported (even for its reloading animations, which is weirdly included with the Last Stand Update)
  • The R93 is now the designated temporary counterpart for the Steyr Scout
  • The Rattlesnake is now the designated (and optional) temporary counterpart for the Accuracy International AWSM/AWP
  • The Thanatos .50 cal is now the designated temporary counterpart for the Heavy Machine Gun
  • All firing sounds are now sourced directly from PAYDAY 2's game files
  • All drawing and reloading sounds have been re-recorded in a quieter game environment to reduce background/hissing noise
  • The reloading sounds of the Dual Pistols have been matched with those of the P220 Pistol's for artistic reasons
  • The Pump and Chrome Shotguns now have their own reloading and pump sounds (thanks to the Last Stand Update)
  • The Tactical and Combat Shotguns now have their own reloading sounds (thanks to the Last Stand Update)
  • The Submachine Gun and Silenced Submachine Gun now have their own reloading sounds (thanks to the Last Stand Update)
  • The 'fullautobutton' sounds have been replaced by the appropriate sound effect

Author's Note: I apologize for the sudden minor update, there was this bug i had to patch for almost all of the weapon sound files concerning audio length; Some sounds may randomly have a less-than-a-millisecond 'click' sound whenever said sound finishes playing (Commonly experienced in the firing sound of the Desert Rifle). That's about it, really. Apologies again for the abrupt update - i've never had this problem pop up from the last 6 versions.

Author's Note: Welcome to Version 1.3! In anticipation of the month of August, i've decided to push an update for this add-on and inside are, you guessed it, more quality fixes and improvements! Along with this update is a new, updated demo on the add-on page. I've spent a week reworking the whole thing and since i have classes by next week, i can assume that 1.3 will be the last update for a long while (or until Overkill releases a counterpart weapon, which i'll be glad to include once i get some free time on my schedule). Enjoy!

- Removed as much idle background noise (from the recordings) as possible from all weapon sound files.
- Reworked the incendiary/explosive firing sound of the Silenced SMG.
- Reworked the incendiary/explosive firing sound of all shotguns.
- Improved the incendiary/explosive firing sound of the M16 and AK-47 rifles.
- Reworked the 'clipout' sound of the AK-47.
- Increased the volume of the normal and incendiary/explosive firing sound of the Military Sniper Rifle.
- Reworked the 'closing of the latch (actionclosed)' sound of the Grenade Launcher.
- Increased the volume of the Minigun's firing sound.

Author's Important Note: You may have read from the change notes of v1.2 below that i've "quadruple-checked" that version so that there would no longer be any more updates until Overkill releases a new weapon counterpart. Well, i decided that this method is extremely ineffective for me and a big inconveniece for the subscribers of this add-on. So from now on, i will continuously implement quality updates for this add-on for the smallest details i see fit - because i believe that you subscribers deserve the best quality this add-on can provide.

This update only improves one weapon's firing sounds (which had bothered me ever since v1.0) - So far, that is the only "quality problem" i can observe. I'll see if i (or you!) can find some more problems regarding quality so that i may "perfect" this add-on in the long run.

Author's Note: It appears i am not a man who you can trust when it comes to making sure of things :P - With that out of the way, version 1.2 includes fixes and quality improvements over version 1.1.1 (as listed below). Since my schedule becomes busier as the days come, this will be the last "quality update" for this mod and the next updates will concern fixes and new content (Overkill releasing a related weapon) ONLY. I've quadruple-checked and used a local copy of the mod in normal gameplay and i am confident there is no longer anything that needs crucial fixing or messing about.
