OVERVIEW:
This update greatly updates and improves Halfling gameplay but also changes the palace unit of Frostlings to the new Icedrake Rider, returning from AoW2 and providing them with a flyer, the Rime Knight is still around and stronger, but harder to find.
As always, due to the massive changes done old saves will work, but might be wonky and weird.

NEW UNIT: Halfling Red Sheriff, available through the Grand Palace.
DESCRIPTION: A cavalry unit that can fire a pistol every turn and support their allies with Minor Bard Skills and protect himself with Smokey Haze, inflicting blight damage and Noxious Vulnerability on attackers. Gains Inspiring Aura and Strong Will on rank.

NEW UNIT: Halfling Slinger, available through the Barracks.
DESCRIPTION: A simple archer unit. Gains bonus damage vs giants and dragons on silver rank and finally inflict crippling wounds on gold rank.

NEW UNIT: Spring Unicorn, available through the Unicorn Glade (Sylvan Court).
DESCRIPTION: A T1 Unicorn, capable of phase and charge and improved heal rate. Very high resistance for it's tier. Gains Armor Piercing on bronze and Holy Champion on gold.

UNIT REWORK: Halfling Pyrotechnician, replaces Fireworks Cart.
DESCRIPTION: Having the same ability to fire a barrage of fireworks, the Pyrotechnician is notably weaker and lack the range of his predecessor. He does however benefit from being an archer, halfling and does have a melee attack although mediocre.

DESCRIPTION: A T2 archer with similar abilities to it's predecessor. While somewhat frail, have a strong attack. Gains Quickshot on gold rank.

DESCRIPTION: A T2 irregular, a tier higher version of it's predecessor now sporting a mail shirt. A balanced unit between ranged and pikeman.

DESCRIPTION: Armored infantry with damage bonus vs evil. High morale and can inflict crippling wounds with his weighty club. Gains Mind Control Immunity and can Inflict Taunt on gold rank.

UNIT REWORK: Halfling Ratcatcher reworked from a T1 irregular to a T2 support. Available through the Slaughter Pits.
DESCRIPTION: A support unit that focuses on disabling enemies, hurling nets and taunts. Gains Cure Disease and finally Charm on rank.

UNIT REWORK: Halfling Scallywag changed from Irregular with blunderbuss to Archer using an arquebus.
DESCRIPTION: The Halfling pirate unit, using a weaker musket-type weapon.

UNIT REWORK: Halfling Horseboy gets so many changes it's hard to list. Moved to War Hall.
DESCRIPTION: A lighter cavalry than the pony riders, horseboys are faster and can sprint but are notably weaker. Gain backstab on gold rank.

UNIT REWORK: Halfling Fusilier, replaces Halfling Minuteman.
DESCRIPTION: While having Vigilant Reload, it is notably weaker than the Musketeer. It does however make up for it by starting with Armor Piercing. Gains Concussive Shot on gold rank.

-Festive Landship speed increased by 2.
-Festival Barrage range changed from Long to Medium.
-Arachnaoth's Greater Webbing Touch replaced with Inflict Webbing.
-Triton hitpoints increased by 3. Physical damage increased by 1. Loses Frost Weakness.
-Halfling Officer defense lowered by 1. Priority listing increased by 80.
-Brace of Pistols removed from Forge, based damage decreased by 1. All units with this ability gains +1 ranged damage by default (cavalry balance).
-Goblin Witch Doctor's Spirit Ray replaced with Magic Bolts, rank damage changed accordingly.
-Shard Dragon's bronze and gold reward switch place.
-Highman Revenant Bowman gain 1 blight ranged damage.
-Orc Freebooter moved to Orc towns instead of Goblin. Thanks Swagmaster! But why was this unreported for two years?
-Ghost Dragon is no longer Inherently Evil.

This update was supposed to be released on the first of September, but due to the issues caused by the Sprite & Pixie's flying animation had to be released before the planned date.

Future updates will not be released this early but if there are serious issues I will release them ASAP. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The rule was broken! More units! I will add new units when I have to, otherwise I will continue replacing underused and uninteresting units wherever they cannot just be improved with some changes.
The Node Feeder may return in the future in the upcoming mod and the Naffatun is planned to return for Nomads.

NEW UNIT: Beholder, available to Tigrans through the Arcane Catalyst.
DESCRIPTION: While physically weaker than the Watcher, the Beholder has very high resistance. It can also dispel magic and all it's rank damage is entirely focused on ranged.

NEW UNIT: Tigran Iron Warden, available through the Blast Furnace after the Musketeer research.
DESCRIPTION: An irregular musketeer that is split between melee and ranged focus.

NEW UNIT: Giant Red Beetle, can be summoned by Arch Druids through the Summon Eldritch Animal spell.
DESCRIPTIONS: A variant of the Big Beetle with less hitpoints because of because lower number but higher damage and higher blight protection. Can Inflict Severly Poisoned on gold rank.

NEW UNIT: Great Brown Beetle, can be summoned by Arch Druids through the Summon Gargantuan Animal spell.
DESCRIPTION: A huge beetle similar in use to the Goblin Great Beetle.

NEW UNIT: Taiga Mammoth, can be summoned by Arch Druids through the Summon Eldritch Animal spell.
DESCRIPTION: Lacking devastating charge and having lower frost protection, Taiga Mammoths instead have better base damage and defense. Gains Fear Strike on gold rank.

UNIT REWORK: Tigran Hellion, replaces Tigran Naffatun. Available through the Slaughter Pits or by having a Fire Cat reach gold rank.
DESCRIPTION: The evolved form of the Fire Cat, the Hellion acts similar to the previous T2 version of the Fire Cat, with the addition of Heavy Fire Bolt. Inflict Scorching Heat and Immolation for attacks and immune to fire.

UNIT REWORK: Goblin Beetle Knight, replaces Node Feeder.
Available through the Blood Altar.
DESCRIPTION: A heavy cavalry unit with armor and shield. Gains Inflict Severly Poisoned and finally Inflict Weaken on rank. While similar to the Big Beetle, it is overall more defensive.

DESCRIPTION: Similar to it's predecessor, but elemental damage split between blight/fire/spirit. Can inflict bleeding and gains Armor Piercing and finally Inflict Taunt on rank.

NEW HAPPENING: Sign of the Great Wolf, spawns packs of around 2-3 wargs or mongrels in early game only.

-Due to an strange animation bug Fairy Pixie and Fairy Sprite's Flying is replaced with Floating. Movement speed increased by 2.
-Fire Cat can now evolve to Hellion. Cost increased by 5 gold.
-Heavy Fire Bolt changed from 16 fire damage to 14 fire and 3 physical.
-Goblin Prodigy ranged abilities and rank/damage rearranged, now starts with Shock Bolts instead of Poison Bolts.
-Dwarf Firstborn Paragon moved to Holy of Holies.
-Orc Spirit Healer ranged attack changed from Spirit Blast to Bane Flame, a somewhat weak single-fire version of Bane Fire.
-Dwarf Blunderbussman gains Razor Projectiles.
-Big Beetle renamed to Big Green Beetle.

-Dwarves given more beard color variation for only a third of the filesize.
-General Dwarf visual tweaks.

-Fixed an issue were facial hair of some units would not be affected by shadows or by dirt or ghoul effects.

This update heavily changes Human and Tigran core unit gameplay. Further changes to these races (and many more) will be made in the next update which is planned for next month.

UNIT REWORK: Human Sergeant, replaces Human Palace Guard. Available through the Guard House.
DESCRIPTION: A pikeman that can pierce armor, gains Inflict Crippling Wounds and finally Overwhelm on rank.

UNIT REWORK: Human Arbalestier, replaces Human Marksman. Available through the Shooting Grounds.
DESCRIPTION: A basic crossbowman, gains Armor Piercing on silver rank and evolves to Sharpshooter on gold rank.

UNIT REWORK: Fairy Pixie, replaces Bog Dancer Fairy.
DESCRIPTION: A flying melee fairy can sprint and dazzle foes.

UNIT REWORK: Fairy Sprite, replaces Unseelie Fairy. Available through the Nightshade Hollow.
DESCRIPTION: A powerful flying melee fairy with first strike and sprint.

UNIT REWORK: Tigran Feral, replaces Tigran Javelineer. Available through the Arch Druid's Dolmen after the Hunter research.
DESCRIPTION: A very fast tigran that counts as an animal (as he has completely reverted to bestial behavior). Very fast unit.

UNIT REWORK: Tigran Catmaster heavily changed (more changes than I could keep track of). Available through the Rider's Hall (replacing the Mahout, which has been moved).
DESCRIPTION: Cavalry with a bow as opposed as an archer that is mounted. Slower than the chariot but can fire three shots every turn. While a lackluster archer (T1 archers gain more damage output overall) it is versatile.

UNIT REWORK: Tigran Fire Cat heavily modified into a T1 unit. Moved from Focus Chamber to Shooting Grounds.
DESCRIPTION: Archer that fires a single strong fire bolt. Inflicts Scorching Heat on both melee and ranged attacks.

UNIT REWORK: Human Freelancer changed to a tier 2 and changed accordingly. Now counts as armored.
DESCRIPTION: A more offensive unit than the Sergeant or the Pavisier. Now gains Warcry on bronze rank.

-Tigran Manticore given proper damage/rank (how did no one report this for so long? Remember to report bugs!) removed from Cockatrice spawn set, added to Tigran General spawn set.
-Soul Harvester returned to Library of the Dark Arts from the Grand Palace, requires no research.

-Human Vampire Hunter defense reduced by 1, gains 1 resistance and 1 physical damage.

-Tigran Seer silver and gold damage on rank swapped.
-Draconian Lizardry speed reduced by 2.
-Tigran Mahout moved from Rider's Hall to Flowrock Citadel.
-Tigran Skywatcher moved from Flowrock Citadel to Focus Chamber.
-Tigran Shadow Priestess renamed to Tigran Night Priestess.
Visual tweaks:
-Goblin Arsonist looking less like ash-covered maniacs and instead given a more professional look with fire-retardant suits and breathing masks.
-Tigran Fire Cat model loses sash and bracers to accomodate it's "demotion".
-Tigran Manticore given new texture and icon based on the AoW2 sprite.
-Multiple improved visuals for human units. Statistical changes reflected in appearance as usual.
-Fixed texture issue on Frostling Maggot Hive's shields.

NEW UNIT: Storm Host, available through the Holy of Holies after the Shrine of Smiting research.
DESCRIPTION: A flying Elemental capable of calling down thunderstorms and lightning. Static Shield on gold rank.

UNIT REWORK: Celestial Dragon, replaces Sacred Dragon. Available through the Frost Lair after the Martyr research.
DESCRIPTION: Similar to it's predecessor but with a Celestial Breath, dealing spirit, frost and shock damage. Resistant to these elements but weak to blight. From bronze to gold, gains Meditate, Inflict Dazzle (melee) and finally Dominate.

UNIT REWORK: Goblin Darter, replaces Goblin Slinger, available in the Barracks.
DESCRIPTION: More expensive than it's predecessor yet cheaper than Swarm Darter, the Darter has a single-shot blight/physical dart ability and gains a pure physical dart ability on bronze rank. Can evolve into higher tier ranged goblin units, including Hivegunner.

UNIT REWORK: Goblin Mongrel Rider, replaces Goblin Headsman. Available through the Rider's Hall.
DESCRIPTION: Cavalry unit that is slower than the Warg Rider but tougher and armored.

UNIT REWORK: Mongrel, replaces Barghest. Can be summoned by Archdruids.
DESCRIPTION: A tireless animal good at locking enemies to fight with it.
-Goblin Spearling renamed to Goblin Grunt, Pike Square silver bronze reward and First Strike silver reward swapped. Speed decreased by 2, damage changed from 10 physical to 9 physical and 2 blight. Can now evolve into Goblin Turtleguard.
-Green Dragon renamed to Fabled Dragon, Inflict Immolation replaced with Inflict Taunt (melee) on gold rank. Changed to require Scout research, changing it from an Archdruid unit to Warlord unit.
-Orc Warghest Raider renamed to Orc Dire Rider, speed decreased by 2, defense increased by 1. Loses Bloodthirsty bronze reward, Inflict Bleeding Wounds moved to bronze rank.
-Goblin Happy Stabber's Sprint bronze reward removed, Coup de Grace moved to bronze reward.
-Highman Revenant Destroyer's double rank damage removed.
-Dwarf Axewielder renamed to Dwarf Stalwart and moved to Arena, Inflict Bleeding Wounds gold reward moved to silver, gains High Morale gold reward.
-Draconian Lizardry loses shield and 1 defense, gains armored and polearm. Cost increased by 5.
-Goblin Redcap defense reduced by 2, gains Armored.

-Ignoculus' Searing Gaze range increased by 1 hex, damage reduced by 2. Can no longer harm allies.

-High Elf Vanguard armor changed from the original yellow to steel to make it easier to identify.

UNIT REWORK: Frostling Clan Guard, replaces Frostling Huskarl. Available through the Guard House, making it the only bonus structure unit that does not actually benefit from it.
DESCRIPTION: Similar to it's predecessor, a strong infantry unit with defensive strike but now with frost weapons and armor. Gains Guard Breaker on gold rank.

UNIT REWORK: Frostling Tracker, replaces Frostling Snaphance.
DESCRIPTION: A Musketeer variant that counts as an irregular. Effective against animals and excellent vision range. Can Hurl Net on gold rank.

UNIT REWORK: Frostling Hordesman, replaces Frostling Vikingur. Available through the Barracks.
DESCRIPTION: An alternative to the Raider with pure physical damage. Cheaper in upkeep, resistant to ranged attacks but slower. Can inflict bleeding and ultimately become tireless on rank.

UNIT REWORK: Frostling Warg Raider, replaces Frostling Mounted Raider.
DESCRIPTION: Similar to the Mounted Raider, but less of a cavalry version of the raider and more of it's own thing, gaining more frost damage on rank and more versatile abilities. Lacks frost weapons like all classic-style Frostlings.

DESCRIPTION: A cavalry unit that lacks Devastating Charge but makes up for it by breaking enemy guard and can Inflict Fear on gold rank.

-Human Royal Musketeer loses Martial Arts on bronze rank, Armor Piercing gold rank reward replaced with Concussive Shot (ranged only inflict daze).
-Highman Revenant Pale Rider gains Broken Heavy Charge (2 additional charge damage). Gold cost reduced by 10.
-Makhai loses Shield, gains Martial Arts. Defense increased by 1, gold cost decreased by 10, mana cost increased by 10.
-Dwarf Frostbeard's frost damage on rank changed to physical to better fit with other units with frost weapons.
-Frostling Ice King loses Armored and 20% Fire Weakness.
-Apparition hitpoints increased by 4.
-Unseelie Fairy moved to Goblin Hunter spawn list. Defense reduced by 1, damage increased by 2. Gains Exploit Despair on bronze rank. Gold cost reduced by 10.
-Draconian Helmbreaker renamed to Draconian Stonepelter.
Visual tweaks:
-Multiple additional visual overhauls for Frostlings.
-Updated some ability icons to better fit with the default ones.
-Some human icons changed to have white or grey in place of other colors.

DESCRIPTION: Infantry variant that deals physical and blight damage. Higher damage average than the Infantry, but less ideal against blight-immune units.

DESCRIPTION: A T3 Giant with first strike, overwhelm and killing momentum. Like all Highmen, has some blight damage and inflict abilities on rank.

DESCRIPTION: A Giant that deals shock/blight/physical damage. While not as tough as the regular Titan, he makes up for it if you can keep him around.

-Draconian Star Lich loses Projectile Resistance, 2 defense and speed decreased by 2. Gains armored. Mana cost increased by 10. Requires Death Bringer research.
-Goblin Exploder movement speed bonus gold rank reward replaced with Taunt.
-Draconian Tempest shock protection increased by 20%.

DESCRIPTION: Flying cavalry immune to fire, highly resistant to frost and high spirit damage. Can Daze on gold rank.
UNIT REWORK: Draconian Tempest, replaces Draconian Spirit Reaper. Available through the Arcane Catalyst.
DESCRIPTION: A fast flyer that deals physical and shock damage and is highly resistant to shock that can use wing beat. Can inflict enemies with bleeding and later shocking on rank. Becomes tireless on gold rank.
UNIT REWORK: Goblin Arbalist, replaces Goblin Sergeant. Loses Break Control, gains Razor Projectiles. Mind Control Immunity bronze reward replaced with Volunteer. Inspiring Aura gold reward replaced with Inflict Crippling Wounds.
-Soul Harvester moved from Library of the Dark Arts to Palace of the Perished and now requires the Death Bringer research.
-Saker is now only available in living cities (undead get Ghast instead of both).
-Orc Demolitionist gains +2 speed.
-Human Sword Banneret is now only available in living cities (undead already had Doom Priest).
Visual tweaks:
-Goblin Great Beetle retextured to resemble the Big Beetle of AoW1. Changed icon.
-Draconian Lancer, Sky Sentinel, Infernal and Dominator visuals on helms improved.
Other:
-Fixed typos in Goblin Great Beetle flavor text left since the first release. Yikes!
-Somehow did not include the line "I am the storm that is approaching" in the Draconian Tempest flavor text and deserve a pat on the back.

-Orc Spitroaster renamed to Orc Fire Trooper.
-Orc Fire Trooper loses Warcry, gains Throw Flash Grenade and 20% Fire Protection. Gains 5 hitpoints and 1 resistance. Fire damage on iron rank changed to physical. Cost increased by 20 gold.
-Regal Landship's Fire Broadside replaced with the weaker Fire Saker Broadside.
-Orc Demolitionist loses Throw Flash Bang, gains Fire Flaregun, Shield and Reinforced. Damage reduced by 2. Loses Rapid Reload gold rank reward, replaced with Immolating Projectiles. Cost increased by 10 gold.
-Detonate damage reduced by 5/5.
-Skeleton gains 1 physical damage. Skeleton Lord and Skeleton Guardian added to evolve list.
-Skeleton Warrior gains 1 physical damage.
-Skeleton Spearman gains 1 physical damage and internal Skeleton requisite to prevent Goblin Resurrectionist from raising new skeleton spearmen from dead ones.

-Dwarf Mad Lad renamed to Dwarf Gunslinger (name was too meme-ish). Flavor text is unaltered.

REWORKED UNIT: Penguin Overlord, replaces Penguin Soldier. Available through the Henge after the Summon Eldritch Animal research.
DESCRIPTION: A powerful T2 animal with lifesteal. At gold rank it can summon Dire Penguin minions.
-Goblin Rocketeer loses 2 ranged physical and 1 fire damage, gains Big Rocket ability. Cost increased by 15. Added to regular goblin spawn list.
-For whatever reason the abilities supposed to be removed from Human Sword Banneret in the previous update were not removed properly. This is now fixed.
-Human Sword Banneret loses Martial Arts.
-Spider Form now leaves one action point after use.
-Northern Glow's Inflict Shocking moved to bronze rank, gains Elemental Dispersion, a very weak explosive death. Cost increased by 5 gold.
-Terror Lizard dislike for arctic changed to hate.
Visual tweaks:
-Orc Bulwark shield and icon changed.
-Orc Deathmarcher shield and icon changed.
-Improved Skeleton Lord visuals.
-Improved Skeleton Spearman, Archer and Warrior visuals.
-Kobold Geomancer given unique texture.
