Version 1.3.2a "Expeditionary Forces", fixes and rebalancing (1.10.* Collie compatible)

Features/Content

  • Added remaining/overlooked new portrait paths and icons from TGW to the history and idea files edited by Balkans Ablaze (BA).

  • Serbia will now have to deal with the Black Hand organization in the 1914 starting scenario as well.

  • Added new Serbian interface changes to ensure they now have their historically accurate Mauser M1899 technology/equipment icon for their service rifles at game start.

Localisation
  • Slight localisation improvements, and further tweaked localisation file structure to ensure BA's localisation improvements stay.

  • In addition to fixing Bulgarian infantry weapon localisation properly (Mosin-Nagant M91 into Mannlicher M96g, in line with history/BA's research), added localisation for the first Serbian infantry weapons so they can have their historically accurate Mauser M1899 names for their service rifles at game start.

Balance and fixes
  • Rebalanced the technologies for the first land doctrine in the land_doctrine-file again, with the best from both last version, and the versions before that. The plan is matching the names/descriptions of the technologies, making the Great War hopefully flow more historically and, hopefully, making the doctrine's split choices actually balanced choices to be taken depending on circumstances and/or preferences.

  • Motorized resource costs came out cheaper than intended, now wood and steel costs are again a bit steeper, though leaning heavier on wood early like intended with the last update.

Update: 5 Jun, 2021 @ 7:36pm

Version 1.3.2 "Expeditionary Forces", Collie update, mod streamlining and slight tweaks (1.10.* Collie compatible)

Features/Content

  • Updated all relevant files in the mod to the latest 1.10.* Collie updates, including the most recent TGW improvements where relevant.

  • Updated BA's original portrait paths and folder structure to new TGW-standard/formatting.

  • Cut the state history, airports, buildings and rocketsites changes to state 5 (Ermland-Masuren/East Prussia) and state 85 (Danzig) and set them back to what TGW uses as they're good enough, and to keep only the most essential improvements outside the Balkans and their vicinity. This should make the submod more focused, and easier to maintain.

  • Slight improvements to the first two bookmarks for Serbia, Bulgaria and the Ottomans in terms of visuals like the order of ideas matching ingame ideas, etc.

Localisation
  • Improved certain idea localisations.

  • Removed redundant localisation files and streamlined them into existing files to reduce the number of files and create an easier to maintain mod.

Balance and fixes
  • Buffed the Serbian "Military-Technical Works, Kragujevac"-idea with a light artillery cost reduction. Buffed the British ideas "Empire Expeditionary Force" and "Recruitment Drive" with some additional leader experience gain to accentuate a point made in the new localisation of the aforementioned.

  • Removed the air_doctrine-file (in the common/technologies folder) as BA no longer needs to make edits to it. Further rebalanced technologies in the land_doctrine-file to make the early technologies fit with BA's vision of the Great War.

  • Further touch-ups to the resource costs of motorized equipment, leaning heavier towards wood and less heavy on the steel for the horse drawn carriages, then transitioning into needing additional steel and starting to need rubber for the actual trucks.

Update: 15 Aug, 2020 @ 10:55am

Version 1.3.1 "Expeditionary Forces", general improvement and small content update (1.9.* Husky compatible)

Features/Content

  • Added event to somewhat amend Bulgaro-Turkish relations after the Balkan Wars when they're in the same faction/alliance.

  • Added checks for Spain in the Central Powers to get the choice to do the scripted treaty peace as well, with priority if player like the currently checked for countries. They are lower priority than the historical four and Italy currently.

Localisation
  • Fixed erroneous state names in Africa after the La Résistance update and the subsequent TGW update.

  • Added localisation to the new events added.

Balance and fixes
  • Did general updates and improvements to the Russian event file, hopefully fixing some of the previous issues with the Revolution's event chain. Also made my code/script changes smaller, more compact and easier to maintain. More will be coming if this didn't do the job.

  • Added event to Mongolia so that they can choose whether or not to join the White Movement, relevant if Mongolia is a player. AI Mongolia leans toward joining (Russian statesmen and military stationed there historically), especially in historical mode. Also added events to Imperial/White Russia get informed of the outcome.

Update: 4 Jun, 2020 @ 5:23am

Version 1.3.0a "Expeditionary Forces", Fixing, rebalancing and polishing update (1.9.* Husky compatible)

Localisation

  • Deleted some unused localisations.

Balance and fixes
  • Updated portrait graphics links in the Bulgarian history file to fix broken portraits.

  • Removed redundant information from the Bulgarian history file.

  • Reworked the history files of Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, the Ottomans and the UK to ensure all of them had relevant ideas unlocked at later bookmarks too.

  • Added the TGW changes for the correct rank of Mustafa Kemal at the earliest bookmark.

  • Added a civilian factory and two naval dockyards to the Austro-Hungarian state of Istrien/Istria.

  • Updated the Bulgarian focus tree by adding mutual relations gain to a new focus.

  • Found a (stupid) workaround for the broken interface of the Balkan Infamy (decision category) display, which works well enough for now.

  • Made changes to the on_actions-file and the story events to fix and better handle initial city renaming and diplomatic updates for the start of the game.

Update: 1 Jun, 2020 @ 2:02pm

Version 1.3.0 "Expeditionary Forces", La Résistance/Husky update, map, content, balancing and streamlining changes (1.9.* Husky compatible)

Features/Content

  • Combined the map changes from recent TGW with old BA changes for the best of both worlds.

  • Cut redundant files from the mod, while adding as few as possible, resulting in a more streamlined mod with 16 fewer files to worry about.

  • Deleted all old history files for unit history/OoB for every nation except Bulgaria to make room for new TGW changes that are almost as good, equal or better than my old ones. The Bulgarian unit history files have been merged, expanded on and has gotten the 1919 bookmark added instead.

  • Bulgarian ship OoB/history files merged into the general unit files.

  • Improved the British Recruitment Drive idea, and added a starting idea that's later replaced through the old event. Now the UK starts with the Empire Expeditionary Force idea limiting their Army size and other things, but improving its performance a bit instead.

  • Updated general functionality files such as focuses for any changes made by TGW.

  • Added new Bulgarian decision, taking some functionality out of an event to give players more control and overview instead. Also solves problems of the player missing out on this due to no separate peace with the Ottomans in the Second Balkan War.

  • Improved the formatting of, and went through, nearly every single file in the mod to prepare it for changes made in the base game and TGW.

  • Updated the bookmark files with the new starting idea for the UK.

Localisation
  • Improved upon old BA and TGW localisations, merged them into new files.

  • Added localisation for all new stuff.

Balance and fixes
  • Rebalanced some different combat bonus ideas and other ideas for Balkan nations, France and the UK.

Update: 15 Nov, 2019 @ 7:06pm

Version 1.2.0c "The Pioneers", Balance, Event, 1914 History and Resource Usage update (1.8.* Fork compatible)

Features/Content

  • Coal is now used for constructing most ships from 1918 and before, representing the coal stores they would need to stay operational (they still use fuel too, though, so there's at least some long term cost).

  • Kufra is now owned by Egypt rather than the UK at the start, and Egypt also gets a core there. The Treaty of Frankfurt will now only bother to transfer it to them after the Ottomans puppet them if they don't already own it by that point.

  • Updated for 1.8.0/1.8.1 Fork, and added the new required descriptor.mod file to the mod's folder.

Localisation
  • Further improved the writing of the Ottoman Army Staff idea towards the end of the description text.

  • Added a line break at the end of the description text of two of Bulgaria's design companies, so the texts clutter less with the functionality tooltips there.

Balance and fixes
  • Fixed 1936 motorized so it again costs rubber like intended.

  • Removed unneeded rule functionality in the upgraded version of the Bulgarian Militarism idea.

  • Fixed the Brest-Litovsk Treaty and the Soviet Civil War events with regards to Ukraine and Mongolia specifically for a more historical outcome, and also to make the core giving focus for the Soviets be useful as now the Russian/Soviet cores on Ukraine are removed like intended from the events before this. Now the Soviets will need to chill a bit before having the possibility of a reconquest war on Ukraine. Mongolia was mainly fixed so they side with the Whites first, and then switch to the Reds when the Reds gain the upper hand to some extent. Also since Mongolia is now added to their factions they should no longer join the Entente, the Central Powers or other weird stuff.

  • Balkan Threat variables, VP names, diplomatic relations, ruler traits, decision requirements and Ottoman cores are now updated for the 1914 start, and Persia will no longer suffer the effects of the End of the Constitutional Revolution idea at that bookmark, as said idea was meant to time out a lot earlier.

  • Allocated more Bulgarian factories to equipment in both the 1910 and 1914 start so there's less micro, and ensured that Bulgaria starts with updated infantry weapon in production in 1914, as just basic, outdated infantry equipment at that point didn't make sense.

  • Imported TGW's naval research speed fixes for the relevant edited history files.

  • Shifted the Bulgarian focus requirements for the second level infrastructure focus a tad. Now checks for the previous infrastructure focus instead of the dockyard focus. Also updated the completed/unlocked 1914 focuses a bit, so you still have the choice of who to side with as Bulgaria (the bookmark shows off siding with the Entente as a possibility, so I found it only fair). Now some industry, internal development and the relevant post-Balkan Wars focus are completed/unlocked instead of the three Central Powers aligning focuses that were there in earlier versions. Not that I think the 1914 bookmark can really stand up to the popularity of the 1910 one, but I figured it would be nice to give people a more playable second scenario too. Also joining the Central Powers at the historical time or earlier is still very much possible.

  • Fixed an army manpower related trigger for both the British Recruitment Drive idea, and, more importantly, the French Army Staff idea (which didn't have alternate triggers/conditions). Now players should see France getting this while at war like intended.

  • Corrected the Austro-Hungarian unit name lists for the mountaineer division names and the mountaineer brigade names. They were not correctly assigned to the mountaineer unit type earlier, but now they are.

Update: 7 Nov, 2019 @ 5:00pm

Version 1.2.0b "The Pioneers", Bugfix, Feature and Event-integrity update (1.7.* Hydra compatible)

Features/Content

  • Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Raška-Kosovo Field (previously South Serbia) have been buffed to developed rural regions. Varna has become a sparse urban region, while Muntenia and Constantinople have become dense urban regions. Western Thrace has been nerfed to a pastoral region.

  • Western Thrace is no longer a Greek core at the start, only a claim.

  • Added Pola to Istrien state, which was the main naval base of Austria-Hungary. Also added a couple of levels of naval bases to Triest, as such an important coastal city surely had working ports. The state also starts with one more level of infrastructure now.

  • Rejigged all the building graphic placements in Istrien (Istria) state to make it nice to look at when developed.

  • Added two new ideas for Montenegro, related to how they're influenced with the decisions, and new leader traits for Nikola I should they be dragged into the Second Balkan War and win. Also reworked the news events for Bulgarian victory with regards to the new features.

  • Added new starting idea for Serbia, the Military-Technical Works, making infantry equipment cheaper, and reducing the cost of license production. The last part has also been added to Sofia Artillery Arsenal for Bulgaria.

  • Added new economic decision for the Ottomans to reduce the impact of their starting debuff, Developing Agrarian Society, and a new idea to take said debuff's place after the situation has been improved.

  • Tweaked both bookmarks with new ideas added over the last few updates to the Ottomans and Serbia.

Localisation
  • Improved the spelling and formatting of some ideas, decisions and tooltips.

  • Added localisation for all the new stuff added.

  • East Montenegro renamed to Sandžak and South Serbia renamed to Raška-Kosovo Field, which was more fitting and would fit other possible owners slightly better too.

Balance and fixes
  • Montenegro now always sides with the side that has 10 or more influence towards their side when Bulgaria finishes the "Criticize the London Peace Conference" focus. The calculations have been moved from the Montenegrin events to there to ensure an easier time to for the players timing this. The calculations are later used in the events like earlier, but with smarter use of variables (now only one new global variable is created, and the checks have been reworked a bit). If less than 10 towards either side, Montenegro will mostly go neutral now, but they are also free to side with the side that has more influence points than the other in this situation. The political power reward follows a similar logic, with Montenegro winning it if neither side has at least 10 influence more than the other.

  • Montenegrin event option triggers fixed so the influence variables are weighed properly. The AI is also blocked from choosing the other options if either side has an influence lead of 10 or more. At exactly 0 the AI can only go neutral, and from 1-9 towards either side the AI can side with the one with the slight lead or go neutral, though they will heavily lean towards neutrality in this case.

  • Also made a bit more use of the AI timer flags of the decisions, with AI Montenegro, Bulgaria and Serbia spamming the decisions a bit less. This should ensure they have a bit more political power to spare for other useful stuff.

  • AI alliance/befriend/ignore/invade modifiers for Montenegro, given by different influence events have been rebalanced to ensure the AI sides with the country they're supposed to side with. Some relation modifiers have also been changed a bit.

  • Fixed possible issues in the Second Balkan War event file adding Montenegro to wars and factions when they were not supposed to be added to said wars or factions.

  • Many second Balkan War related events are also a lot more robust now handling more unusal situations, and they're generally a bit more flexible with checking for the current situation before taking certain actions.

  • Reworked the peace treaty AI and effects between Bulgaria and Greece during the Second Balkan War. The Bulgarian AI should now be a tad more sophisticated with whether to keep things going or making early peace with Greece. Previously would always take the early peace as that is usually the smarter choice for the AI.

  • Horse Drawn Carriages now cost wood instead of rubber.

  • Buffed the Serbian Army Theorist to the standard values of the current HoI IV base game version, like was previously done for Bulgaria and the Ottomans.

  • Tsar Ferdinand will now go back to the Balkan Hegemonist trait from the Balkan Maximalist trait if Bulgaria goes down the Peace and Neutrality focus.

  • Rebalanced the potential upgraded version of Bulgarian Militarism to give more fitting additional bonuses.

  • Swapped the idea pictures of the Bulgarian Aviation idea with the Greek and Ottoman ones, which seemed more fitting with the Eagle for Greece and the Ottomans, and the air dropped bombs for Bulgaria.

  • Modified TGW's Luxembourg event file to ensure their new monarch from the events has the new leader trait and has her name spelled correctly, especially now that Paradox have been more lenient with accents and regional letters for some time.

Update: 1 Nov, 2019 @ 9:40am

Version 1.2.0a "The Pioneers", Map, Localisation and Polishing update (1.7.* Hydra compatible)

Features/Content

  • Reshaped Morava, Pirot, Struma Valley, Štip and Northern Thrace's provinces to enable an accurate border between Bulgaria and Serbia, and Bulgaria and the Ottomans in 1910, and to allow an accurate border between Kavala and Northern Thrace states (e.g. border between Greece and Bulgaria) should Bulgaria lose Kavala to Greece in the Second Balkan War. Buildings moved where necessary to keep visuals at least as nice as before.

  • Reshaped Northern Thrace's borders with Bulgarian Eastern Rumelia (Varna and Stara Planina in game) to better represent the borders of May 1910. Building graphics moved a bit too.

  • Reshaped Montenegro's starting border with the Kingdom of Dalmatia in Austria-Hungary to something closer to the historical borders of May 1910.

  • Moved the building graphics in Varna to make the state look nicer when built up.

  • Added Zadar city to Zara state, and changed it to its roughly historical population for May 1910 (based on historical statistics for the municipality).

  • Also renamed Zara state to Zadar.

  • Moved one province from Ermland-Masuren to Danzig like in the base game. Moved bulidings to keep visuals at least as nice as before. This also should enable the historical Treaty of Versailles borders between Germany and Poland.

  • The Dodecanese Islands now have roughly their historical population in May 1910.

  • Added the correct and most historical early infantry equipment for Bulgaria (picture link in the interface file and localisation have been changed), instead of the Madsen machine gun, etc. Now basic is Mosin-Nagant, with Mannlicher's 1895 model magazine rifle as the second level.

  • Added a small new starting debuff for the Ottomans. Decisions to remove it later in the game are planned for the future.

  • Added unlockable French Army Staff idea for France, with picture, localisation, as well as event, event picture and event localisation.

  • Added unlockable Recruitment Drive idea for the United Kingdom, with picture, localisation and its own event and event localisation.

  • Added Italian and Austro-Hungarian homeland defense strategies so they prioritize defending their integral lands in the Italian, Alpine and West Balkan regions enough.

  • Added a couple more early historical strategies for France and Germany should historical mode be on.

  • Other small strategy tweaks.

  • Instead of copying over some of the newer HoI IV idea pictures not in TGW, I now instead call on the newer ones in the base game and DLCs, that are not in TGW, directly via the interface file, and thus save some space for the mod.

  • Added Austro-Hungarian division names, though only some of these are linked with starting divisions in 1910 and 1914 (certain mountain brigades). Certain Bulgarian and Greek division name counters have been further mutually linked to each other where it seemed appropriate (Bulgarian inf, mot and mec, Greek inf, mot, mec, arm and gar).

Localisation
  • Polished the localisation in the final event of the event chain for the delivery of the Farman III planes from France.

  • Improved the writing for the localisation of the Ottoman Army Staff idea.

  • Tweaked a Bulgarian focus completion tooltip to be more in line with what the focus actually gives or have given.

Balance and fixes
  • Finally updated the "airports" and "rocketsites" files to make sure the actual functional airport and rocket site provinces match their visuals on the map. Also added fuel silos to the states that were missing this in the "buildings" file along with other changes there.

  • Corrected the relation modifier applied to the Ottomans against France when doing the anti-French focus.

  • Improved Ottoman faction alignment focus AI with regards to historical mode, if they're at war with any of the faction leaders and which faction Russia is in.

  • Tweaked AI modifiers for the decision to purchase planes from France a tad down in some cases.

  • The starting events now add a tad more equipment to the armament stores of Serbia, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire. Especially some outdated infantry equipment to be used in case of war outbreak was deemed necessary and historical by me.

  • Added a consumer goods cost to the powerful timed idea for the Balkan League, "Balkan Mobilization". The command power gain has also been exchanged for a training time reduction, and the other modifiers have been nerfed to half of their old values. This was in part to make up for the increased starting equipment of Bulgaria and Serbia, but also because it makes sense that it has a cost.

  • Tweaked the "German Armament Shipments to the Ottoman Empire" idea by removing the army experience gain. It was unnecessary and it looked rather unclean interface-wise.

  • Further discouraged Italy from joining the Balkan League both through idea and the Italian AI strategies file.

  • Fixed Serbian claim being applied to Southern Albania/Northern Epirus rather than Northern Albania like intended. Now it's been fixed according to the historical plans for divide by Serbia and Greece prior to the Balkan Wars.

Update: 25 Oct, 2019 @ 5:03pm

Version 1.2.0 "The Pioneers", Humongous Map, Flavor, Demographics and AI update (1.7.* Hydra compatible)

(Make no mistake, this update is probably way to large to fit in the change log, and I've not been caring too much about taking notes this time, as it's a lot of work, and this update was even more so. Thus, this changelog might come piecemeal when I remember stuff, and probably will be more in general terms than in details!)

Features/Content

  • Implemented historical May (!) 1910 populations for Bosnia, Montenegro, Serbia, Greece, Crete, Cyprus, the Ottomans in Europe (from Albania to Constantinople, Austro-Hungarian border to the Aegean Islands), Bulgaria and Romania. These are very accurate overall for macro regions and certain specific areas (e.g. Northern Dobrudja, Southern Dobrudja, the whole of Bulgaria, Ottomans in Europe as a whole, Crete, etc.), but as for certain singular states on land (the Macedonian states, and similar) they may be more of an approximation. Still, overall I'm very happy about it, and immersion should be a lot better now. Also, you guys get historical May 1910 population for (German) Samoa as a bonus. That one just got thrown in there randomly since I stumbled across the statistics.

  • Moved one province from Kavala to Central Macedonia (Thessaloniki), and reshaped their borders a bit. Northern Macedonia, Štip and Southern Macedonia were also reshaped a bit, and of course buildings have been rejigged to be nicely placed in all five of these states as I was already working on them. This should allow more historical borders for in between the Balkan Wars, and if Bulgaria should somehow manage to win the second one, get a somewhat less greedy victory, more in line with the Treaty of San Stefano than just the old, somewhat random state borders.

  • Added a new idea/event chain to purchase pioneer era Farman III airplanes from France. This adds flavor to all the Balkan countries that can do this (BUL, TUR, GRE, MTN, SER), as well as France. Ideas, localisation and a new historical event picture have been added, and France's scout planes have been rejigged to these rather than the later planes they had earlier. All the relevant Balkan countries now have localisation (name and description) for both the starting scout plane and the first fighter sub-technology.

  • Added new starting Army Staff ideas for both the Bulgarian Kingdom and the Ottoman Empire, somewhat inspired by the German one. These have unique idea pictures and localisation, and they've been added to the relevant history, interface and bookmark files.

  • Added new AI template strategies, so the AI countries should put up more of a fight. Those without a strong industry for it should go more heavy on infantry, and save the production costs of armored cars, artillery and stuff to some extent. Of course they still go with support artillery for their infantry, and with enough industry surplus occasionally some line artillery too. AI usage of field hospitals should also go up a bit, while anti-tank should go down a bit.

  • Added the historical leader of the Bulgarian Democratic party at the time, leader with portrait, correct ideology and an appropriate trait from the base game. Also added the Democratic Party itself.

  • One Ottoman city added to Anatolia, three cities/towns to the Ottoman Balkans, one to Bulgaria, one to Italy, one to Bosnia and oodles of cities/towns to the rest of Austria-Hungary, especially to Cisleithania this time.

  • Tweaked many Austro-Hungarian existing VP values upwards to represent the relative size and importance of the cities/towns at the time.

  • Added a post Balkan War aviation news event (with a newly added picture) to Bulgaria, the Ottomans and Greece, with some free air experience, historical aces/air pioneers, and some air innovation ideas. The aerial battlefield was the one this mod hadn't addressed before, so I was happy to get it done.

  • Added Air Aces to Bulgaria, the Ottomans and Greece. All of them are pretty good, representing historical figures, and are either for CAS-planes or fighter-planes (which are the early planes you can build).

  • Filled the Bulgarian Air Branch with more content and descriptions.

Localisation
  • Renamed almost all remaining Austro-Hungarian states to era appropriate names. Though I had to get inventive with the hard ones such as what was later called Sudetenland, which was part of several historical regions at the time.

  • Added city localisation.

  • Added names and descriptions to all new ideas and events.

  • Tweaked the localisation for the Italian national spirit/idea for the invasion of Ottoman Tripolitania to represent the fact that it wasn't named Libya at the time.

Balance and fixes
  • Buffed the recruitable population of all Balkan Military ideas by +1% to make up for the significantly smaller, but accurate, new population counts somewhat. Some of Bulgaria's previous modifiers here have been moved to their new Army Staff idea, while the remainder was buffed a bit, as it was a bit underwhelming according to their historical performance.

  • Beefed up the Bulgarian, Ottoman and Greek starting armies and templates just a tad. Added new unused (at the start) cavalry division template for Bulgaria.

  • The AI to some extent actually researches useful stuff other than doctrines now. I'm not sure exactly how I happened upon this fix, but I'll do further research. AI countries will now research a tad relevant industry and the likes alongside their doctrines now, instead of only ahead of time naval modules and hulls. Not bad. Not good either, but it's a definite improvement.

  • Tweaked the German Staff idea further. Now affects the rate of leader experience gain instead of starting planning level, division speed is down, and the recruitable pop have been a bit further reduced, while being compensated with more planning speed and max planning.

  • Tried to further improve the Italian AI with regards to the Italo-Turkish war, steering them in more historical directions.

Update: 15 Oct, 2019 @ 3:28pm

Version 1.1.3b, Map and Authenticity Improvements, AI Strategy Tuning and further Balancing (1.7.* Hydra compatible)

Features/Content

  • Introduced Impassable Terrain to all the relevant Saharan desert states, like the base game. Now you won't unrealistically have to fight for every sand dune.

  • What is now Kufra starts in British control/ownership which is more historical than it being under Ottoman control/ownership at the start.

  • Pristina, Tirana and Vlorë are all worth more Victory Points now. This should make them fit with the standards around them a lot better.

  • New cities/towns! Added Pancsova to Austria-Hungary, Smederevo to Serbia and Elbasan to Albania.

  • Added some new opinion modifiers to the mod.

Localisation
  • Renamed an Italian focus to fit the fact that what is now Libya wasn't named so until 1934. Switched it to the period appropriate Tripolitana.

  • Renamed states in Ottoman Tripolitana to avoid said modern name. The two "Libyan Desert" states are now named "Desert of Tripoli" and "Kufra".

  • Improved the writing of certain decision and idea localisations.

  • Krakow state owned by Austria-Hungary is now named Krakau.

Balance and fixes
  • Switched some of the powerful TGW opinion modifiers (that I added to a Bulgarian focus last update) with the more modest and fitting ones I created for this update. This is applied to one of Bulgaria's early Balkan focuses.

  • Further tweaked the starter (WW1) land doctrine with bonuses that are harder to choose between (for the split paths) and that fit the names and descriptions of the individual doctrine technologies better.

  • All Bulgarian focus given land doctrine bonuses have been nerfed a little from 50% to 40%. 50% I figured was a little too fast.

  • Fixed and tweaked some of the AI research priorities/focuses so they should work better now (if TGW's research woes hadn't stretched as deep as I now see they do). Still, maybe things will get a little better, for now at least? Also improved the general formatting of the AI research priorities (the ai focuses seem to need to be lowercase in their entirety, except for an eventual country tag). This included duplications of some AI research focuses to apply to many different tags where relevant.

  • What can be fixed is AI war plans, and those I added last patch. These were ever so slightly tweaked a little now, mainly by me adding the "consider_weak"-AI modifiers where I found it relevant.

  • Foolproofed the Italo-Turkish war start event just a little bit.

  • Removed Ottoman cores on Ottoman Tripolitania to represent their fading hold on the territory. However, what was added was the possibility for Egypt to get a core on Kufra should the Ottomans win the Great War and get Egypt as a subject, so I guess that's a meagre comfort for all this at least.
