**Welcome to the "DIG IN" update!**

February 17th, 2025 marks the 6th Birthday of the 41st ODST/MFR, and we hope you will join us in celebrating with this minor update for 41st Declassified Assets.

The star of this update is the new Mark 6 Entrenching Tool, a melee weapon that also doubles as an ACE Entrenching Tool. It's a little weaker than other dedicated melee weapons, such as our survival hatchet or bayonets,

Perfect for when you absolutely, positively, *cannot* afford to give ground to the enemy!

Also included is a Birthday Cake prop which can be retextured for any occasion you need, a Cake Slice item that can be eaten using ACE Rations, 3den prop versions of the Mark 6 Entrenching Tool, and numerous minor tweaks you can find in the changenotes. As always, massive shoutout to R.Sanchez for his exceptional modeling work!

Just as we in the 41st built our unit and our mod from the ground up, we hope the new E-Tool will help you to turn the dirt at your feet into something truly unbreakable.

We're not going anywhere, so dig in and help us celebrate!

Melee Weapons
- Added Mark 6 Entrenching Tool
○ This secondary weapon can be used as both a melee weapon, and as an actual ACE Entrenching Tool!
○ Does blunt melee damage
○ Damage values are comparable to the M10 combat knife, but less than the Survival Hatchet
○ Requires WebKnight's Improved Melee System (IMS) mod for melee combat, and ACE for Entrenching functionality, but shouldn't break your game if neither are loaded
○ Perfect for fulfilling the masculine urge to die horrifically in gruesome trench warfare!
- Rebalanced existing melee weapons
○ Most 41st Melee Weapons now have pros and cons for their use; i.e. the M10 combat knife does less damage but weighs very little, while the survival hatchet does more damage but weighs more
○ Exotic weapons (such as the T1 Energy Sword and X-83 Energy Bayonet Handheld) are intentionally overpowered, since these are rarer and more expensive in lore
○ Ceremonial weapons are intentionally underpowered, but still reasonably lethal
○ Rifle-mounted bayonets remain unchanged
○ A full table will be provided at a later date!
- Minor melee tweaks
○ Type 1 Energy Sword now glows in the dark and doubles as ACE Wirecutter (if it can cut Forerunner cables, why not wire fences?
○ Added small lore tidbits (descriptionShort) to each 41st melee weapon
○ Renamed M10 Combat Knife to M1 Combat Knife for lore consistency (no classname changes)


Props
- Added Birthday Cake
○ 3den Retexture Friendly to fit any occasion!
§ Selection "Camo1" for cake print, "Camo2" for icing/rest of model; also 3den-friendly
○ Two versions available
§ Static prop (SimpleObject compatible)
§ Inventory Container version, containing 41 slices of cake (see below) by default
○ Perfect for celebrating special occasions or sneaking contraband into prisons!
- Added Mark 6 Entrenching tool 3den prop
- Updated Festive Gift prop
○ Festive Gifts are now individually retexturable via 3den or SetObjectTexture!
§ Selection "Camo1" for wrapping paper, "Camo2" for bow.
§ We recommend using Procedural Textures (i.e. "#(rgb,1,1,1)color(1,0,0,1)" for changing gift/bow color!
○ Two versions now exist:
§ Existing prop/ Static(SimpleObject compatible) version, and
§ New Inventory Container version (empty by default)
○ Unlike other Holiday assets, Festive Gifts (along with Cake) will now remain available year-round
- All 41st Christmas/seasonal assets are now SimpleObject-compatible

Items
- Added new ACE Rations-compatible 41st Food items (requires ACE Rations, but will not cause dependency error if not loaded)
○ Cake Slice
○ Surprise food item: Check "ACE Field Rations" section in ACE Arsenal to see what it is!

Tweaks/Misc
- Removed "[41st]" text from the front of our melee weapons in Arsenal- they are now just known by their standard names (no changes to classnames or author credits)

**Welcome to the BUGCRUSHER update!**

Summary
- This update focuses on under-the-hood changes to squash a wide variety of bugs and remove error messages when loading 41st Declassified Assets.
- Our ongoing goal is to streamline Declass to improve compatibility and minimize impact to our end users.
- Based on our limited testing, 41st Declassified Assets should produce NO errors when loaded with official dependencies (i.e. Operation TREBUCHET and CBA), and be compatible with a variety of other mods.
- We encourage our community to report errors or bugs to us on our Discord when they are spotted!

Bugfixes
- Fixed a myriad of in-game error popups that appear when loading the game with 41st Declass
○ Fixed "ItemInfo" error popups in 41Props, 41stFACTIONS and Snowflake PBOs
○ Fixed 'class turrets' config error that popped up with 41Hogosha UGV
○ Fixed Ashmari units config error when Improved Melee System (IMS) mod is not loaded
○ Fixed an error relating to the MJOLNIR MK. V helmet that would pop up with or without OPTRE First Contact loaded
○ Fixed an error for the now-deprecated 41st Cryo Room item due to a now-removed model
- Fixed pre-game error messages popping up when launching Arma 3 with 41st Declass but without certain other mods
○ Fixed 41Hogosha requires OPTRE FC Jackals error
○ Fixed 41Hogosha requires ACE hearing error
○ Fixed 41Hogosha requires ACE medical error
- Fixed BLUFOR Hogosha PMC pelican appearing in weird places in 3den asset browser when Fireteam Zulu isn't loaded

Changes
- Ashmari assassin and berzerker units now inherit from OPTRE_Ins_URF_Rifleman_AR to prevent IMS compatibility issue errors; IMS-dependent melee functionality may be restored if community feedback supports it
- Added Mezar'ai cult insignia to Ashmari masks in both Headgear and Facewear to better distinguish them
- Tweaked Hogosha item displaynames for consistency
- Added CBRN protection rating to config for 41st Away BDU
- Removed hard ACE dependencies for Hogosha and Ashmari units (ACE items will still spawn in AI inventory when ACE is loaded)
- Tweaked Christmas props displaynames

Removals
- Permanently removed Festive MK. VI MJOLNIR armor from Snowflake.pbo (we have files on-hand if anyone wants them!)
- Temporarily removed Christmas items/units from the arsenal/3den interface. (Don't worry, they'll be back next holiday season!)
○ Temporarily removed Santa Hat, Elf Hat, Candy Cane Knife, and Candy Cane Warhammer from Arsenal
○ Temporarily removed the URELF/Rebel Elves from 3den and Zeus interface
○ Temporarily removed the Candy Cane, Christmas Present, and Yuletide Fireplace props from 3den Interface
