SUITCASE 2.16 - Nice Back Air

GAMEPLAY

Back Air
- New move.

Side Special
- Super Armor, Startup, & Cooldown changes from last patch reverted.
- Angle (Normal Hit): 60 > 50

Dash Attack
- Sourspot Removed
- Angle: 361 > 60
- Knockback: 6+.55 > 7+.5

Down Strong
- Angle: 285 > 90

Forward Strong
- Angle: 105 > 120
Note: Noticed all of Suitcase's Strongs send at vertical angles, so I'm trying having this sending more out.

Up Tilt
- Finisher KBG Increased: 6+.8 > 6+.85
- Minor Animation Adjustment

Forward Air
- Hitbox size increased
- Hurtbox adjustments
- Minor Animation Bugfix

2.15 - What?

What?

Up Tilt
Rework: Is once again a one-input move. The first hit now pulls down into the 2nd hit. 2nd hit kill power reduced in exchange for being faster and more reliably linked into.

Side Special
Rework: Is now only jump-cancellable on hit. Now has super armor.
Startup increased.

Forward Tilt
2nd hit stronger, move startup slightly increased, angle flipper added. Stats now resemble Zetterburn FTilt.

Forward Air
Buffed. Stats now resemble Kragg Fair.

Down Air
Some property adjustments.

2.13 - The F Patch

Dair changes to prevent a potential (very tight window to actually pull off) infinite.

Also, as promised, I have added an item to commemorate the highest placing Suitcase player this RCS Championship!

Small rework.
Landing lag reduced, hard-coded cooldown completely removed.
Endlag increased, startup slightly increased, total active frames reduced,
First two hits: Knockback reduced, angle tweaked, no longer bounce on hit, now force flinch.

- Down Strong
Knockback growth increased: 7+1 > 7+1.2

ACHIEVEMENTS

One new achievement added.

ITEMS

Two new items added to the pool, including one after unlocking the aforementioned achievement.

MISC

ILLEGAL sfx re-added to GB into and Definitive Addition.

Alright, last one before RCS unless something bad happens

BALANCE
Down Air
Hard-coded cooldown: 20f > 15f
Dair cooldown with Creator's Curse is unaffected by this change.

GAMEPLAY
Neutral Special
Holding the input while in the air now decreases Suitcase's fall speed.

Side Special
Restores double jump when hitting a wall or player once per airtime (Before: Only took effect if double jump had already been used the first time you hit a wall or player)

BUG FIXES
- Fixed a bug where Unguarded Faucet's effect would proc even when Voided.

MISC
- Disabled flavor text after purchasing an item. Now the shop HUD maintains a description of the item effect to help players understand what each item does.

Suitcase has had the great honor of being a part of a 30-character roster of perhaps the most prestigious workshop tournament to date, the RCS finals! $1,000 on the line! Naturally, we are keeping things very serious and professional. This patch was mostly to disable starting items to ensure each fight is nice and clean, but also a few minor balance tweaks to bring numbers closer to base cast.

BALANCE

Dash Attack
Main hit damage increased: 6 > 8

Down Tilt
Damage increased: 5 > 7

Forward Strong
Hit2 damage decreased: 9 > 8 (total 12 > 11)

Down Strong
Damage decreased: 12 > 10

Forward Air
Damage decreased: 10 > 9

Back Air
Hit2 knockback growth increased (6+.65 > 6+.7)
[Cactus-empowered bair is unaffected by this change]

ITEMS - UPDATES

Definitive Addition
Now adds 3 additional frames of delay between hits of Up Tilt.
Get it? Because of all the Switch release delays? LOL
Love you devs, please don't pull my character out of the tournament,


ALTS
- Infamous Alt swapped out for a new highly saturated "Premium" alt, featuring workshop's favorite glowing rainbow effect for the XP crystal.
... What, pandering? How dare you. I take great pride in my work. Please, relax, just enjoy the funny gamer colors...

COMPATIBILITY
- Munophone skeleton code added. I haven't actually done any work on it yet but the frame data checker probably works?

2.11 - A Small Presentation Pass

GAMEPLAY

- Up Special
The slight lift when dodge-cancelling the move now applies when the move ends naturally, instead of stopping abruptly.

REFINEMENT

- Adjusted SFX for the following:
Up Strong
Up Air
Down Air
Back Air
- HUD indicator code tweaked for attacks that move it
- Prototype MK-7 font color now matches its unique shop HUD
- Adjusted pratfall sprite

2.10.1 - Hotfix

- NSpecial cooldown is now properly reset when hitting a blastzone. (Can be used sooner after tossing the projectile offstage)
- Pushed a fix(?) for text alignment issues when using Down Special.
I couldn't reproduce this issue on my end, so let me know if it works.
