v1.6.3 - Balancing / stability update

  • Rolls ITSpawnUtility into SpawnUtility.
  • I was worried this might cause compatibility issues with HET. But it doesn't! Hooray.
  • Increases the distance between ships on a number of wave tables to give larger ships some room to move around.

v1.6 - Auto-traits and tactical shifts

  • Now 2.0 compatible!
  • Killing persecutors now increases hatred with the faction that the persecutors spawned from.
  • If any player manages to reach 700+ hatred with a pirate faction, the pirate faction automatically gains traits.
    • These traits will go into effect immediately for all players.
    • The traits will not be immediately visible. The pirates must be spied on with informants for the traits to be revealed.
    • Traits are now only revealed for the player bribing the pirates with the informant, and not globally.
  • Removes the boss encounters from Increasing Threat. They have been added to Extra Ship Classes Core.
    • The behavior of the bosses is otherwise unchanged.
  • Increases the distance between spawned ships for the higher tier attack waves (the ones containing Prowlers, Pillagers, and Devastators)

v1.5 - Extreme Threat Detected!

  • Fixed a bug where a player would encounter a deepfake distress signal despite not having enough hatred to do so.
  • If a deepfake distress signal or decapitation strike event cancels itself due to conditions not being met, the gloal pause timer on the event scheduler is reset.
  • When a player in an alliance successfully resolves a pirate attack, decapitation strike, or deepfake distress call, hatred is increased for all memebers of the alliance in the sector.
  • Implements the secondary pirate traits.
    • Vengeful pirates launch special attacks vs. players more frequently.
    • Craven pirates attack civilized sectors less often.
    • Tempered pirates accrue hatred less quickly, but lose less hatred over time and cannot be bribed.
    • Covetous pirates lose more hatred over time, and lose more hatred when being bribed.
    • Brutish pirates send more ships in special attacks.
    • Wily pirates send ships with special modifiers in attacks / events.
  • Pirates slowly lose hatred towards the player over time.
  • Pirates can now be bribed at a smuggler's outpost. This costs 10% of a player's credits, or 1 million credits, whichever is higher.
  • Increased the rate of pirate attacks.
  • Adds a second pirate attack event that occurs closer to the core.
  • Reduces the hatred gain per attack and increases the cooldown of special attack types to offset this.
  • Rips out the default fake distress signal event and replaces it with a custom-built one. This means that any OTHER mods that modify the fake distress signal event will effectively have their changes wiped out.
  • Sorry. I got tired of dealing with compatibility issues with other mods. So other mods start getting stepped on.
  • Fake distress signals are now much more dangerous.
  • Adds 6 new bosses when answering a fake distress signal. These bosses will only be encountered under the following circumstances:
    • The player has beaten the story.
    • The player is in the core.
    • The pirates hate the player enough.
    • The player has not encountered one of these new bosses recently (within the last 2-3 hours)

- Decapitation strikes happen more frequently if HET is installed.
- Pirate attacks contain more ships, and hatred is accrued more quickly if HET is installed.
- Deepfake Distress Signals spawn Executioners if HET is installed.
- Updates some behind-the-scenes code such as logging, etc.
- Adds Infiltrators at the Smuggler Outposts. You can use infiltrators to get a rough idea of how much the local pirate faction hates you.
- Adds several possible traits to pirate factions. Despite the update to the diplomacy UI, the traits aren't actually implmented yet and will be relevant in future updates.
- Fixes a client-side error with radio chatter.

- Added the "Deepfake Distress Signal" Event.
- Fixed a bug that caused an error when a pirate attack spawned for a player with no notoriety value.
- Decapitation strike hidden cooldown is now based on unpaused runtime of the server and not OS time.

- Added the "Decapitation Strike" event.
- Increases the chance of pirate attacks spawning.
- Added radio chatter.
- Increases the amount of hatred accrued from pirate attacks, especially at higher difficulties.
- Increases the amount of notoriety accrued at higher difficulties.
- Changes how hatred / notoriety special attacks work so that they are on a per-player cooldown on each faction rather than a global cooldown on that specific faction.
