Update to 2.2


Balance Changes

- Soul Shield (Celestian hero skill) is now a free ability (was „leave 1 AP“) with range 7 (was 5)

- Stasis Field (Voidtech hero skill) now applies Dimensional Desync (was Immobilized)

- Weapon Group skills: Strength to apply status effects increased for all skills except the Arc skills

- Dark Reaver: psionic damaged increased to 15 (was 13)

- Acid Tank: bio damage increased to 24 (was 20)

- Shielded Barrager: has now 4 kinetic strength chance to apply Dimensional Instability


Bug Fixes:

- Fixed a compatibility issue with Expanded Arsenal Mod resulting in very cheap unit mods for Arc Warriors

- Changed Amazon unique skill as it did not work properly in combination with Killing Momentum: The skill now grants reduced movement cost in tactical combat (was 48 movement speed)

- Ramjet Ram ability is now affected by Payloads

- Fixed an issue with the hero skill Steady Aim

Bug Fixes:

Descriptions of Arc Mods (Positron Arc Storm Projector, Positron Discharge Shield) fixed

Description for the Elevate to Warden/Elevate to Protector Operation fixed

Ignition Module (Laser) now correctly grants +20% damage (was +10%)

Quantum Avatar mod (Voidtech) now correctly doesn’t grant any additional shields apart from its built-in property (was +2)


Other changes:

Development Focus: Power now provides +20% XP for Skirmisher and Specialist units and +1 rank for newly produced non-Elite units

Techs that unlock faction T4 units include the additional subskill Advanced Training Equipment that grants +1 rank for all newly produced units

Happiness penalty for unfavourable terrain reduced to -2 (was -3), and for disliked terrain to -4 (was -6); Dry Air (Shakarn) results only in -4 happiness (was -6)

Cost for climate terraforming operations reduced to 60/9 (was 80/12), for terrain terraforming operations to 40/6 (was 60/9), for Utopian Gardens (Oathbound) to 80/12 (was 120/18); cost for Rapid Reforestation (Amazon) reduced to 20/3 (was 50/5)

Update to 1.13:

There's a chance that the update breaks running games. So I recommend to delay updating until these maps are finished if possible.


FEATURES

The skill selection allows now more combinations. Heroes can choose to forgo a tier 2 subskill for taking the remaining tier 1 skill instead or alternatively replace a tier 3 slot with a second tier 2 skill. For example an Amazon player that takes Biology Expert as tier 2 subskill can still get Animal Disciplin by taking it as tier 3 skill.


CONTENT

- Every factions gets one new subskill as additional option, either in the Ranged or Melee tree (p 43 in the manual)

- Offensive Tactics and Defensive Tactics are redesigned (p. 39 in the manual)


OTHER CHANGES

The DVAR skill Incentivize is now tier 1 and Hardiness Training is tier 2. The effect of Hardiness Training is changed back to the vanilla effect.

- Vorpal Snipers have now Anti-Air (as in the vanilla game) but Anti-Air is removed from Reavers (they don't need to be good at everything)
