Update 7 - QoL Update Episode 2!

What's new:

Visual:
  • Optimised real-time reflections.
  • Updated fonts.

Balancing:
  • Khnums are now able to use their dodge attacks.

Misc:
  • Made the song selection more consistent.

Update 6 - QoL Update Episode 1!

What's new:

Visual:
  • Updated GI (global illumination baking).

Logic:
  • Updated script logic.
  • Disabled weapon inspection animations. They were cool, but ultimately were more of a nuisance.

Environment:
  • Updated destructible props to play the shaker events logically.

New Features:
  • Fully updated the voiceline logic! There are new voicelines with subtitles, they are now fully randomized and only play during singleplayer mode.
  • Updated custom music volume and quality.

Update 5 - QoL Update!

What's new:

Visual:
  • Probe light fixes. Also quality improvements.
  • Also fixed see through fountain. That was annoying.
  • Adjusted post-processing on the map.
  • Mirror reflections! You may disable them in the settings if the fps drop is too much.
  • Adjusted atmospherics entity.

Environment:
  • Improved soundscape further.
  • Adjusted multiple props to stop cannonballs from bouncing off of them. This includes small fences.

Bug Fixes::
  • Fixed up certain destructible props.
  • Fixed certain props not breaking when they are supported by other props (such as wooden gates).
  • Improved CO-OP behaviour further!:
- Music will now continue playing whilst spectating. (? semi-fixed. getting mixed reports. will need more investigating)
- Fixed sounds not playing for clients.
- Sounds are now played at the area that it was triggered. Meaning you won't hear the secret jingle unless you're close to the secret in question.

Performance:
  • General map/script optimizations. Will be more beneficial towards folks with CPU bottlenecks.

Balancing:
  • Sniper Rifle is back!... if you can discover it that is.
  • Adjusted enemy spawns once again. Personally, I feel like the difficulty curve is just about right now.
  • Dropped down more item pickups onto the map. C4 has a larger presence.
  • Endless Mode is actually REWARDING now!
  • To reduce power-creep in CO-OP, certain gadgets can only be picked up by one person. This includes any new (SPOILERS) gadgets that I might've put in the map. :)

New Features:
  • Random introduction music!
  • And yes, a bit more music.
  • Voicelines! Sam actually reacts to the environment now. That being said, you can also disable this in game options.
  • Few more secrets.
  • Easter Egg. I guess.

What's new:

New Features:
  • More music has been added!

Environment:
  • Significantly reduced amount of Terrain Tree entities.
  • Map Lighting has been baked using Ray Tracing. You can thank my GPU upgrade for that.
  • Adjusted the "Water" material.
  • Decreased forced Saturation on map.

Logic:
  • Changed behaviour of "Check your S.A.M tab!" text popup. It will now only show at the beginning of the game.
  • Decreased difficulty of the map throughout. Tuned enemy spawns/numbers.
  • Endless Mode has been tuned.
  • Temporarily modified spawn formations for Scrapjacks, Reptiloids and Lava Golems. Should stop those enemies from spawning right next to each other.

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed the Depth of Field effect not appearing correctly whilst using the Quick Weapon Selection Menu.
  • Attempted a fix on an exploit with the Water Silos. (Soz guys, no more fun for you.)

Optimization:
  • Removed redundant Probe Light entities on the map. Further adjusted remaining probe lights. Should increase performance and reduce map file size.
  • Significantly reduced amount of Terrain Tree entities.
  • Slightly less enemies will be on screen at any time.

Miscellanous:
  • The Survival Scoring mod has been updated a few days ago precisely for this update.

Update 3.1

What's new:

Environment:
  • Trees have no collision with vehicles now. Hurray vehicles! A bit of a workaround until I find a better solution. (this should reduce the likelyhood of vehicles getting stuck on tree geometry, especially the Combine Harvester)

New Features:
  • Brand spanking new spectator cameras for CO-OP!

Logic:
  • Converted a few Static Models to Simple Models. Basically, optimization!

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed several more general navigation issues.
  • More navigation fixes attempted with destructibles.
  • Patched up a few "exploitable" areas.
  • The big stone barricades should break correctly now.

What's new:

Environment:
  • Enabled several more destructibles. All destructibles had their health decreased across the board!
  • Updated general vegetation!
  • Added additional spawn effects for keys + certain enemies.
  • Enhanced lighting further.

New Features:
  • Added fancy introduction sound effect!
  • Added (interruptible) weapon intros!
  • Enabled scoring! Finding secrets and passing waves gives you bonus points!

Logic:
  • Overhauled spawn formations. Enemies should be coming from all sides now. (still working on the workaround for multiple enemies spawning on the same formation marker.)
  • The M.E.C.H. had several tweaks to it. Although you can't exit it, you will not die once it's destroyed. It also has been made slightly more durable. Think of it as a power-up!
  • Combine Harvester tweaks! Should be getting stuck a lot less now.
  • Cleaned up more entities.
  • Changed collision attributes on items outside playable area so vehicles like Combine Harvester will have an easier time traversing the terrain.
  • Improved CO-OP script logic.
  • Optimized item/enemy spawning code.
  • Vehicle unlocking logic has been overhauled.
  • A few tweaks to the Endless mode.
  • Made the Bike a bit more durable, and the damage is taken by the vehicle now, not the rider. Should make it a tiny bit more viable to use.

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed several navigation issues.
  • Navigation fixes attempted with destructibles.
  • Floating items have been fixed.
  • The objective marker has been disabled.
  • All players will now spawn with the same amount of health/armour in CO-OP.
  • HUD elements no longer clash.
