v0.8 update, quite a big changelog:

  1. Fixes for the new game update (0.2.3593.17464);
  2. The new food and water Difficulty settings from the update was integrated in the mod. You can choose any value from 0 to 3. Now, if you choose Stationeers difficulty preset (1.5 HungerRate and HydrationRate in config), with Sun/Orbit in 2, you'll have the same times as before (10 days of nutrition, 2.5 days of hydration). If you choose easy difficulty (0.5 HungerRate and HydrationRate in config) you'll have 13 days of nutrition and 3 1/4 days of hydration. You can also manually edit the value in worldsettings.xml to 3 for brutal difficulty (7 days of nutrition, 1 3/4 days of hydration). Setting the values to 0 will disable nutrition and hydration decrease altogether;
  3. Added variable growth times for plants, some will grow in 4 game days (rice for example), others will grow in 6 days (tomato) or 8 days (pumpkin and wheat), growth timers were based loosely from RL data;
  4. Added different times for each plant growth stages, mostly timers inspired on RL data;
  5. Added different water consumption for plants (again, based on RL data) rice, for example, needs 40% more water than previous mod version (but it grows 33% faster), pumpkin and tomato uses less water than previoulsy (but don't expect it to be OP). In game it should be a tradeoff between growth time, nutrition efficiency and water usage. You'll have to choose the species you want to grow based on your situation and the world. Have plenty of water? Rice and Wheat should be good. Need to save water? Pumpkin and tomato should be ideally, even if it takes longer to grow or are not so efficient nutrition wise;
  6. Damage from hunger will be automatically healed only if you eat enough for you food levels to leave the critical zone (you can still use the criopod and the Pill to heal).
  7. Fertilizer modified to be less OP, now it will boost the growth of the plant by 15% (vanilla boost by 40%), and +2 in production;
  8. Fertilized Eggs now need controlled enviroments to hatch. Pressure between 20 to 200kpa, temperature between 36°C to 38°C (96.8°F to 100.4°F) They will need to stay 7 days in this conditions to hatch.
  9. Eggs and Fertilized ones take 12 game days to spoil without refrigeration, so you should be able to use the eggs from the lander now to eat, or maybe, hatch.

TODO: For now the foods nutrition were just loosely balanced, but as soon as i can, I'll do a proper balance pass on the values to be inline with the changes in growth times and water consumption.
I'll also try to patch the Statiopedia to add all the mod info into it, to make it easy for the players to find info about the plants.

Huge thanks for Jixxed who optimized some of the code and for Nebi, who helped with some of the adjustments needed to fix the mod after the update.

Update: 22 Nov, 2021 @ 12:27pm

v0.6 update

* Small adjusts to the nutrition values of some foods.

* Fix for growthstages, mature plants were dying after 2 days (they shoudn't). Extra annoying for decorative plants and Darga Fern etc.

v0.5 update:

First of all, make sure to put the mod above core inside the game, the food recipes will not be updated if you don't do it.

* Reduced the time needed to eat certain foods.

* The following reagent recipes were changed:
- Flour - Now each wheat will give you 20 flour instead of 5
- Soy Oil - Now 1 soybean will give you 5 soy oil instead of just 1
Reason: Some food recipes are quite unbalanced, take Bread for example, in vanilla the original recipe needs 200 flour (and each wheat makes 5 flour) so, to make a single bread you needed to harvest 40 wheat. If you chose to eat only bread, you'll need an hydrophonic with 540 plants growing. The same happens with foods that use Soy Oil.

* The following food recipes were changed:
- Bread Loaf (100 flour, 5 soy oil)
- Cooked Soybean (1 soybean)
- Cooked Rice (1 rice)
- Powdered Eggs (1 egg)
- Canned Powdered Eggs (2 powdered eggs, 1 can)

* Changed the amount of nutrition of several foods, to make them more balanced. Also, now complex stuff that needs lots of ingredients and the ones that takes eggs in the formula are the endgame of nutrition. See the Spreadsheet in image for details.
