The Grand Religion Overhaul

As always localisation is supported for everything in this mod in German, French, & Spanish also

22 Nations added total

Default religions of said nations reflect the best proxy for them, some of them however were known to change religions at several points (the Kushans and Bactria for example)

-Scythia-Iran Changes-

Cores on map at start for
Tajikistan
Pamiristan
Semnan
Ezidxan

Cores will be added when completing Eranshar Decision or Scythian Missions
Restore Chorasmia & Agnistan decisions for Tajikistan and Pamiristan respectively

New requirements and provincial claims added for Eranshahr Decision & Scythian missions

Eranshahr's decision has also been modified to work the same with other Zoroastrian religions

New formable Agnistan nation for Agni, Pamiri, & some Saka nations

a few changes to province names for Eranian & Scythian

Scythian ideas for three Saka nations & the Kushans (although the Kushans will get their own ideas in a future update)

-Other Nation Changes-

Rapa Nui added to game (and present at start)
Skewbald Horde present in game at 1444 start

-Culture Changes-

New Naqxi culture

New names added to various Iranian, Scythic, and Kipchak cultures

Name changes for some Indian cultures & countries

Improved name lists for Germany, Polynesian nations, and Afghanistan

Around 1600 Bojnurd becomes Kurdish now, in games started after that date, an event may be made later

British colonies now have cultures flip if you pick startdates after certain points when those places switched cultures more accurately than before

-Monument Changes-

Sarai, Bamyan's Buddhas, & Stonehenge can no longer be moved
(I'm dead serious they let you move the ENTIRE City of Sarai in game until I removed that)

Cornish & Welsh (accepting) nations can now upgrade Stonehenge

Roman exceptions for various monuments that have nothing to do with Rome have been removed, I have left Petra & Cheops alone as Rome was present in these areas. I let them keep some of their permissions with Russia, as Russia wanted to be like a Third Rome anyhow.

Halicarnassus now shares requirements with the Parthenon

Bon religious nations can build the Jokhang monument

Bran castle is now longer culturally locked (as that made no sense anyway)

Hedal can be built by anyone who is or accepts a West Norse culture

The Ulm Minister now only requires you to be Christian

The Brandenburg Gate now requires you are or accept Prussian, Markish, Pommeranian, or Schlesian

Schoenbrunn now requires you are or accept Austrian, Bavarian, or Swiss

Prague now requires you are or accept Czech, Czech_new, or Austrian

Fixed monuments in Aztec dominated Mesoamerica which were culturally locked to now be only religiously locked

Inukshuk now requires you to be totemist

Nan Madoll & the Moai require you are or accept Pacific

Petra is now build-able by Aramaic nations

-Religious Changes-

Zoroastrian locked decisions now allow any Zoroastrian group religion to do them

New in-game descriptions for many of the religions

Yazidi is in the Zoroastrian group, and is harder to convert, additionally it is present now in one province in 1444

Druze is now present in one province in 1444

Suomensko is now present in much of the Finno-Ugric distant north, Sapmi & the Skewbald Horde are members of this faith

Hurufi is now called Alevi-Bektashism and is present especially in Eastern Anatolia

Zikri appears after game start in games started sometime after the 1600s, in a later update an event will be added

Druze, Zikri, & Alevi-Bektashism use Shia schools now, Kharijite uses Sunni

Kharijites can take and enact the Wahhabi decisions

Iconoclasts & Messalians are NOT considered misguided, their views are simply too heretical, so they are more disliked. Although the misguided buff has been added to the other Christian groups where it was mistakenly left off.

Monophysites now use Coptic Holy Sites

Bogomilism now present in place of the Krstjani in some of Bosnia at game start, and these provinces flip or have different religions at different times. For example games started after it falls in favour will now have Islam sooner. Oddly as well I had to fix Ottoman conquest date for some of the region, as they had them taking some of the land way after they did in reality.

Messalians use aspects, some of them are completely unique to them alone

Iconoclasts now use fervor (can you believe the converted original had them use icons, crazy right? now they didn't have any they could select, but still, what an oversight.)

Jain now uses Karma and has one province in 1444, additionally they have been modified to have a big de-buff to military tech just fyi, but they have a buff to other techs

Mazdaki also has a mil tech debuff and a buff to other techs, but lesser than Jains

New symbol for Khurmazta, absed on Mazdaki's symbol

New holy site blessing symbol for Nestorian

Bon is now present in several provinces in game and religiously being Buddhist is no longer required to form Tibet

Animism now the religion in Siberia except in Tungustic & Altaic provinces where Tengriism is better, while Tungustic people were not worshipers of Tengri by name, they did have their cheif god as the "Sky Father", so it is acceptably close. This means however Kamchatkan culture nations no longer have Tengri faith,, making them all like the Ainu who didn't in game prior.

Nestorians can now convert to other Christian faiths, some of Assyria in game starts Nestorian, and it is the nation's religion, but you can switch it to Coptic if you play them. For now they use Coptic holy sites.

In 1444 a few provinces in India's south have been switched to Sunni, notably in Sri Lanka and the West Coast, additionally one province is now Nestorian, and Keonhjar's land is now Animist, but the nations all remain Hindu, which is accurate. Whether these religions were majority in these locales is less easy to say, it was a tough call, but these changes reflect where these religions were considerably influential, so I made these changes.

Manicheanism now uses harmony like Confucianism, so they can incorporate other religion groups as accepted.

Pamiri majority land is now all Shia in 1444

In games after 1534, you will now notice England and her colonies (usually) are Anglican, and Protestantism for England has been removed

The Anglican specific aspect is now available to the Anglican religion (believe it or not, it wasn't until I fixed it here)

More accurate colonial religions for America and British colonial nations, these reflect local settlement history of these places

In games started in the American revolution, one will notice Anglican provinces flip to Protestant

animism now present in all Zhuang & Miao provinces, as well as in Dali where it was mistakenly buddhist instead

-Other Changes-

For some reason in games in the post-Napoleonic era, Oldenburg was missing and Holstein owned Oldenburg, I fixed this error, and put Oldenburg in its rightful place

dev nerf for some of Crimea's land which was too high considering

some provinces in Siberia switch to Russian at startdates later than before

Tsaparang (where the Naqxi are) has slightly higher dev now

Manchu culture spreads to some provinces at different startdates than before, since the timeline was off as paradox forgot to make new provinces update culture, but the old ones did

slight dev buff for Rapa Nui and the province now produces Naval Goods (as their flag has a type of canoe on it, so it fits)

Update: 20 Feb @ 12:35am

Added another province name for Scythic, Iranian, & Eranian province names

Update: 19 Feb @ 6:21pm
