It's finally here! An update for 1.4.4 tmodloader, including a full overhaul of many of my balance changes:
- Every single armor set is now way more consistent in the stats it gives for different class helmets.
- I accidentally implemented Cobalt armors acceleration bonus wrong, causing it to be way stronger than intended. It's still good, just not as crazy.
- Mythril armor now has an actual interesting set bonus. Upon taking more than 10% of your max health in damage, you gain a full 2 seconds of immunity (2.5 if you have cross necklace equipped). Combined with its high defense, it's a pretty safe option.
- Orichalcum armor has also had a slight set bonus rework, bringing in crit synergy. The petals now have a very low activation cooldown, but only activate on critical hits, dealing 40% of the initial hit's damage. The petals have a bit of armor penetration to help out, but also have pretty hefty pierce falloff so it can't trivialize Destroyer.
- Adamantite armor had the same issue as Cobalt, which as been fixed.
- Titanium armor's set bonus also had a slight tweak. The cooldown for spawning shards is now a full half second, much slower than normal. However, each shard that is present gives the player a whole 2 defense, granting them up to 14 extra defense on top of an already somewhat bulky set.
- Various stat rearrangements for all the ore sets plus Hallowed and Chlorophyte, such that the chest and legs pieces give close to the same amount of bonuses as the helmets.

Oh yeah, and a new icon.

Version v1.1 has been published to Stable learn more @

Now that recipes can easily be modified without completely replacing them, the cost of cobalt and mythril have been increased to match that of palladium and orichalcum, while adamantite has been changed to macth that of titanium.

Cobalt armor defense was slightly nerfed, mythril armor defense has been increased further.

This mod now extends to Frost armor and Forbidden armor. While Frost has not received any significant changes as of yet, Forbidden armor's set bonus has been improved, such that the tornado can hit 100 times before disappearing, rather than 30.

Gave Orichalcum armor a buff. No longer gives extra crit from set bonus, but flower petals always crit. Also removed a couple small defense decreases.

Added increased acceleration to cobalt armor's new set bonus, reduced adamantite armor's acceleration bonus because it's not supposed to be movement-focused, and did a few other tweaks here and there.

Titanium Armor got a buff: each shard that you have around you provides 1 defense. This has no effect on contact damage, because shards will always deal damage and disappear before you take damage when colliding with an enemy. However, this will make projectiles deal less damage to you while you're attacking.

Removed the movement speed buffs to Bee Greaves and Stardust Leggings and put them in my other mod, Movement Speed Fixed, and are able to be disabled via the config.
