Update 17: Version 2 of the Zoo!

After realising the quality and scale of the zoo was really not to my liking, I decided to completely rebuild the zoo again using my improved recreation building skills. This however does mean that the update is not as extensive as the version 1 of the zoo such as africa rocks and lost forest did not make it to this version. The loss of these areas for now however has given the rest of the zoo, especially the wildlife explorers basecamp a much needed upgrade to match how extensive it really is.

Update 16: Big update ahead! Africa Rocks and many reworks

Sun Bear Forest (New Area)
- Proboscis monkey habitat
- Sun Bear Habitat
- Siamang Habitat

Africa Rocks (New Area - Still WIP)
- African Penguin Habitat
- Dwarf Caiman Habitat
- Caracal Habitat
- Red Ruffed Lemur Habitat

- Large waterfall with path that goes around it
- Small plaza with rocks box food shop

Lost Forest New Habitats
- Tiger Trail - Clouded Leopard
- Monkey Trail - Japanese Macaque
- Hippo Trail - Pygmy hippo, Spectacled caiman
- Static Aviaries - Owens aviary with 2 level of paths, parkers aviary next to the zoobrew coffee shop

Wildlife Explorers Basecamp (Reworks)
- Minor Changes to entrance sign
- New globe and static beetles in front of spineless marvels
- Proper doors added to spineless marvels
- New climbing frame for binturong
- Improved backstage area behind binturong
- Improved busy bee cafe and seating area
- moved restrooms to proper location
- New desert dunes area with reworked fennec fox habitat and new prairie dog habitat
- Rebuilt the entire wild woods zone with new raccoon habitat

Urban Jungle (Reworks)
- Improved Cheetah habitat
- Minor improvements to the giraffe habitat
- Redesigned red kangaroo habitat
- Removed bus stop after further research revealed tour buses do not visit the urban jungle

Australian Outback (Reworks)
- Rebuilt koala habitats to portray the true scale of the koala area
- Added red necked wallaby in koala habitats
- Improved palm cockatoo aviary
- New entrance sign for the urban jungle and koalas - along with this sign for many other areas
- Improved the Sydney's grill exterior
- Improved koala cart, still a static drink shop
- Improved boardwalk beer garden

Skyfari
- New gondola supports
- Extended skyfari to over the lost forest but far from complete

Front Street
- Improved foliage on flamingo keeper building to better hide it from guests
- length of front street now fully complete
- Static staff area behind the boardwalk beer garden area
- Addition of more bus tour road signage

Reptile Walk
- Added trees behind giant tortoise building
- Lowered barrier at the giant tortoise to allow better guest viewing

Update 15:

Panda Canyon Plaza

Added:
- Saltwater crocodile habitat added to the tiger trail
- Panda canyon plaza added with gift shop, drink bar, asian cafe, restrooms and lots of seating areas
- pathing work for the entire sun bear forest
- finished the owen's aviary shell, now at over 900 pieces of mesh for the huge aviary

- removed greater flamingoes in urban jungle and capuchin monkey at the basecamp to optimise animal count. These were lackluster habitats anyway so the habitat is still there but no animals

Update 14:

Lower Lost Forest Progress

- Babirusa habitat to the tiger trail
- Red Ruffed Lemur habitat to monkey trail
- Capuchin monkey habitat to monkey trail
- mandrill and black/white ruffed lemur habitat to monkey trail
- lots of pathing work to the monkey trail, tiger trail and the hippo trail
- Owens aviary mesh shell built

Update 13

Fern Canyon Trail

- Finally the long awaited addition to the sparse area between the bus station and orangutan trail has been completed. Lots of tropical foliage is really cool to walk through with the explore camera.
- Pathing work done for center street and the aviary trail
- Reworked marker sign colors to match

Update 12

Orangutan Trail

- New area in the lost forest with 2 new habitats
- Proboscis monkey habitat - substitute for the silvery langur
- Orangutan and siamang habitat with a large creative climbing frame
- Zoobrew - a coffee shop at the end of the trail
- Edited the amount of pieces for the new parking lot - cut down over 2500 pieces that where unnecessary

Update 11:

Entrance / parking rework
- Wombat added to the Australian outback area - replaces the european badger - now requires twilight dlc
- old entrance and parking was deleted and rebuilt completely with a much larger entrance plaza
- new improved rex the lion shadow markings
- new sets of tropical fauna used to make much more realistic flower bed areas
- parking has been enlarged by many times for a much more realistic size although this is still downsized compared to irl (i have 13 spaces across compared to near 60 irl)

Update 10:

I don't really much improvement on the zoo since whatever happened to my laptop has essentially stopped development for the near future but anyways some of the bear grottos have been completed

Added:
- More work zones for staff for fluid functionality
- Himalayan bear habitat (sub for sloth bear)
- Amur Leopard habitat
- Asian small otters habitat

Update 9:

Urban jungle area completed which means all front street areas are fully done minus the entrance for africa rocks

Added:
- Giraffe and gazelle habitat (size requirements for giraffe means the zebra habitat didn't make it). We have 3 giraffes and 3 gazelle in this slightly adapted habitat to fit the requirements
- the most depressing flamingo habitat in existance with literally grass and a forage pool. 6 of the birds in here
- Indian rhino habitat with one rhino
- Cheetah habitat with 2 of them
- Kangaroo Habitat with another 2
- keeper talk for giraffe - in line with the irl keeper talks at the zoo
- Work zones for keepers due to size of the zoo now
- Second bus/4x4 station and extended track from bus station to urban jungle (still not functional)

Update 8:

- finished the Australian outback section with the addition of the queenslander building. The building hosts 4 habitats of koala with 8 animals spread throughout. Still only about half the habitats irl but a good representation of the resident koala colony. Also some may notice that i turned off building disturbance with guests able to look in the 2 large keeper huts with keepers preparing food for the koalas and the upcoming urban jungle
